    Implementation of the Flipped Classroom in Learning Sound Wave toward Students' Learning Interest

    This study aims to see the influence of the Flipped Classroom learning model on student learning interests. Samples were taken by purposive sampling technique with samples of students of grade XI IPA1 and XI IPA2 SMAN 9 Banda Aceh. The method used quasi-experiment with the design of The Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The instrument used is a questionnaire using the Likert scale to measure students' interest in learning. The results of the study showed that there was a difference in increased interest in learning between students who taught with the flipped classroom model and classes without the flipped classroom model. Testing the hypothesis of increased interest in learning has tcount = 4.108 > ttable = 2.306 with a two-sided significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) greater than α = 0.05 which is 0.003, meaning that there is a significant difference, then Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. Keywords: flipped classroom, interest in learning, physics education. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v24i2.pp505-51

    The Effect of Scientific Approach Contextual Teaching and Learning on Students' Mathematical Power

    Abstract: Unlike traditional learning models, this study aimed to evaluate the effects of applying a scientific method that incorporates CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) on students' mathematical ability. A quasi-experimental study with a posttest-only control group design was the research methodology employed. There were 200 pupils in grade VIII at SMPK Immaculata Ruteng who made up the study population. Class VIII D (33 students) was the experimental class that utilized the CTL-based scientific method, while class VIII F (34 students) was the control class that followed the traditional learning paradigm. Sampling was done at random. A multiple-choice test was the research tool employed, and the t-test was used to analyze the results. At the 5% significance level, the t-table was 1.668 according to the analysis results, and the t-count value was 5.114. The rejection of H0 (the null hypothesis) is possible when taking into account the decision rule where thitung > ttabel. Therefore, it can be said that students' mathematical proficiency is greatly impacted by the use of a CTL-based scientific method Keywords: CTL; mathematical power; scientific approach. Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menilai dampak dari penerapan pendekatan saintifik yang memuat CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) terhadap kemampuan matematis siswa, dibandingkan dengan penggunaan model pembelajaran konvensional terhadap kemampuan matematis siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain posttest-only control group. Populasi penelitian mencakup seluruh siswa kelas VIII di SMPK Immaculata Ruteng, dengan jumlah keseluruhan 200 siswa. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara acak, dengan kelas VIII D (33 siswa) sebagai kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan pendekatan saintifik berbasis CTL, sedangkan kelas VIII F (34 siswa) menjadi kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes pilihan ganda, dan analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji-t. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai thitung sebesar 5,114, sementara ttabel adalah 1,668 pada tingkat signifikansi 5%. Dengan mempertimbangkan aturan keputusan di mana tcount > ttabel, maka H0 (hipotesis nol) dapat ditolak. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan saintifik berbasis CTL memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan matematis siswa.  Kata kunci: CTL; daya matematis; pendekatan saintifik DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v24i4.pp837-84

    Implementation of Pancasila Student Profiles on Protista Material using Wizer. Me Application

    Abstract: The Pancasila student profile is a character value and competency that is the goal of students by implementing the noble values of Pancasila. Implementing the Pancasila student profile is necessary to develop the student's character, which is starting to decline. This research aims to describe the implementation of the Pancasila student profile on protist material with the help of the Wizer.me application. The subjects in this research were 36 students from SMA Negeri 3 Mojokerto. This type of research is descriptive qualitative, and data collection is carried out using interviews, observation, and documentation techniques. The results of this research are that the Pancasila student profile has been implemented in schools very well. Teachers and students have been directed in learning the Merdeka Curriculum so that implementing the Pancasila student profile in each critical dimension, creative dimension, dimension of being devoted to God Almighty and having noble morals, dimensions of cooperation, and independence obtains satisfactory results. The Wizer.me application as a learning tool on protist material can be a fun, innovative, and effective learning reference. Keywords: pancasila student profile, protist, wizer.me. Abstrak: Profil pelajar Pancasila merupakan suatu nilai karakter serta kompetensi yang menjadi tujuan peserta didik dengan mengimplementasikan nilai-nilai luhur Pancasila. Urgensi penerapan profil pelajar Pancasila diperlukan bagi perkembangan karakter peserta didik yang mulai menurun. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi profil pelajar Pancasila pada materi protista dengan berbantuan aplikasi wizer.me. Subjek pada penelitian ini ialah peserta didik dari SMA Negeri 3 Kota Mojokerto sebanyak 36 orang. Jenis penelitian dengan deskriptif kualitatif serta pengumpulan data yang dilakukan mengunakan teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil dalam penelitian ini ialah implementasi profil pelajar Pancasila telah diterapkan di sekolah dengan sangat baik. Guru serta peserta didik sudah diarahkan dalam pembelajaran Kurikulum Merdeka, sehingga implementasi profil pelajar Pancasila pada tiap dimensi kritis, dimensi kreatif, dimensi bertakwa kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa dan berakhlak mulia, dimensi bergotong royong dan mandiri memperoleh hasil yang memuaskan.     Learning Module Based on Brain Management and Mind Mapping to Train Mathematical Connection Abilities in Plane Geometry Course

    Abstract: This research is motivated by the low level of mathematical connection ability, even though it is an important ability, also the need of teaching materials for students. In arranging teaching materials, brain management and mind mapping are used so that to help improve students' mathematical connection abilities. This research aims to develop modules based on brain management and mind mapping in plane geometry courses. The type of research used was research and development with ADDIE model. From the research that been conducted, it can be concluded that module is very valid with 91% validity from both material and media aspects, also effective as an individual learning material and for improving students’ mathematical connections in Geometry Plane Course. Keywords: mathematical connection, brain management, mind mapping, module. Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan koneksi matematis sekalipun itu adalah kemampuan yang penting, serta adanya kebutuhan bahan ajar bagi mahasiswa. Dalam penyusunan bahan ajar digunakan manajemen otak dan mind mapping agar dapat membantu meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi matematis mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul berbasis manajemen otak dan mind mapping pada mata kuliah geometri bidang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan model ADDIE.     PCK Profile of Mathematics Education Students in Practicing the Flipped Classroom Strategy

    Abstract: This research aims to determine the planning and implementation of the flipped classroom strategy in teaching compound probability material and determine the PCK profile of Mathematics Education students in practicing the flipped classroom strategy for teaching material at the high school level. The type of research used in this research is design research and qualitative research. The data analysis technique used in this research consists of three stages, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the analysis carried out, it was found that: HLT for teaching high school level mathematics material using the flipped classroom strategy consists of four phases, namely: pre-phase, namely the researcher provides information related to the activities to be carried out; independent learning phase, namely the researcher provides a learning video regarding material on the probability of multiple events; synchronous learning phase, namely the researcher provides quizzes and practice questions for discussion; and the transfer phase, namely the researcher provides a project in the form of creating teaching modules to carry out learning practices; Undergraduate students' PCK in teaching high school mathematics material uses the flipped classroom strategy, namely 33.3% of students have PCK in the high category because they are able to fulfill some of the PCK categories. Then, the percentage of students who have PCK in the medium category is 53.3% and 13.3% of students have PCK in the low category. Keywords: PCK, HLT, strategy flipped classroom Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perencanaan dan pengimplementasian strategi flipped classroom dalam membelajarakan materi peluang kejadian majemuk serta mengetahui profil PCK mahasiswa Pendidikan Matematika dalam mempraktekan strategi flipped classroom untuk membelajarkan suatu materi ditingkat SMA. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu penelian desain dan penelitian kualitatif. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang dilakukan diperoleh bahwa: HLT untuk membelajarkan materi matematika tingkat SMA menggunakan strategi flipped classroom terdiri dari empat fase yaitu: pra fase yaitu peneliti memberikan informasi terkait kegiatan yang akan dilakukan; fase belajar mandiri yaitu peneliti memberikan video pembelajaran mengenai materi peluang kejadian majemuk; fase pembelajaran sinkronus yaitu peneliti memberikan kuis dan latihan soal untuk diskusi; dan fase transfer yaitu peneliti memberikan proyek berupa membuat modul ajar untuk melakukan praktik pembelajaran; PCK mahasiswa S1 dalam membelajarkan matematika materi SMA menggunakan strategi flipped classroom yaitu sebanyak 33,3% mahasiswa memiliki PCK dalam kategori tinggi karena mereka mampu memenuhi sebagaian kategori dari PCK.     Readiness of Middle School Science Teachers in Implementing Kurikulum Merdeka: A Case of Public School in Sidoarjo

    Abstract: This study aims to analyze the readiness junior high school science teachers in planning, implementing, and assessing science learning for science subjects according to the Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar. Research uses a qualitative method case study. Data collection used questionnaires, documentation and interviews. Research subjects were six science teachers. Data analysis refer Miles & Hubberman, namely; data collection, data condensation, data presentation (display), and data verification or conclusion drawing. Results showed everything was well prepared and in accordance with the Kurikulum Merdeka guidelines. The learning planning stage, science teachers review CP, make ATP and TP, make Teaching Modules, and compile assessments. The stage of implementing science learning according this Kurikulum Merdeka, it has an impact on students, where students are encouraged to be able contribute actively in the learning process. Addition, assessment stage, science learning is also in accordance with the Kurikulum Merdeka, namely by using congnitive and non-cognitive diagnostic assessments        Keywords: Kurikulum Merdeka, middle school, teacher readiness, science learning. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesiapan guru IPA SMP dalam perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan asesmen pembelajaran IPA untuk mata pelajaran IPA sesuai dengan Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif studi kasus. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian adalah enam orang guru IPA. Analisis data mengacu pada Miles & Hubberman, yaitu; pengumpulan data, kondensasi data, penyajian data (display), dan verifikasi data atau penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan semuanya telah dipersiapkan dengan baik dan sesuai dengan pedoman Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar. Tahap perencanaan pembelajaran, guru IPA mengkaji CP, membuat ATP dan TP, membuat Modul Ajar, dan menyusun penilaian. Tahap pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPA sesuai Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar dan memberikan dampak pada siswa, dimana siswa didorong untuk dapat berkontribusi aktif dalam proses pembelajaran.     The Effect of Canva-aided Problem Based Physics Learning toward Students’ Conceptual Understanding of Static Fluid: A Case of SMAN 7 Bengkulu

    Abstract: This research was conducted with the aim of seeing and describing the influence of the Canva-assisted Problem Based Learning Model on Understanding Physics Learning Concepts at SMAN 7 Bengkulu City. The sampling technique in this research was purposive sampling and class XI IPA 3 was chosen as the experimental class and class XI IPA 5 as the control class. The design in this research is Nonequivalent Control Groups Design. The research instrument used was a concept understanding test. The results obtained in this research indicate the influence of the Canva-assisted Problem Based Learning Model on Understanding Physics Learning Concepts at SMAN 7 Bengkulu City. The hypothesis test used in this research is the Mann Whitney Test on the basis of decision making if the Asymp value. Sig (2-tailed) < 0.05 then the hypothesis is accepted. The magnitude of the influence of the problem based learning model assisted by Canva on the understanding of physics learning concepts at SMAN 7 Bengkulu City, calculated by calculating the effect size, obtained an influence of 3.12, meaning that the influence given is very high. Keywords: understanding concepts, problem based learning, effect size. Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk melihat dan mendeskripsikan Pengaruh Model Problem Based Learning Berbantuan Canva Terhadap Pemahaman Konsep Belajar Fisika Di SMAN 7 Kota Bengkulu. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling dan terpilihlah kelas XI IPA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA 5 sebagai kelas kontrol. Desain dalam penelitian ini adalah Nonequivalent Control Groups Design. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah berupa tes pemahaman konsep. Hasil yang didapatkan pada penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh Model Problem Based Learning Berbantuan Canva Terhadap Pemahaman Konsep Belajar Fisika Di SMAN 7 Kota Bengkulu. Uji hipotesis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Uji Mann Whitney dengan dasar pengambilan keputusan jika nilai Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) < 0,05 maka hipotesis diterima.     The Effect of Project Based Addictive Substance Learning on Critical Thinking Skills of Junior High School Students

    Abstract: Critical thinking is one of the 4C competencies that is important for students to master to support their success in the learning process. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of the project based learning (PjBL) model on students' critical thinking skills. The method used is purposive sampling. This type of research is quasi-experimental with a nonequivalent control group design (pre-test and post-test). The average results of the two samples are known through the independent sample t-test. The difference in critical thinking skills scores between the control class and the experimental class will be known through a parametric independent sample t-test with a sig value. > 0.05 which means homogeneous. If tcount > table resulting from the right-sided t-test then it can be said that HO is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning the learning model used in the experimental class has a significant influence. In the research that has been carried out, it is known that the project based learning (PjBL) model has a significant effect on students' critical thinking skills, which is known through the difference in the average scores of the control class and the experimental class. Keywords: critical thinking skills, learning model, PjBL model. Abstrak: Berpikir kritis menjadi salah satu kompetensi 4C yang penting untuk dikuasai peserta didik agar menunjang keberhasilannya dalam proses pembelajaran. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran project based learning (PjBL) terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan yaitu purposive sampling. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent control group design (pre-test dan post-test). Hasil rata-rata kedua sampel diketahui melalui independet sample t-test. Perbedaan skor keterampilan berpikir kritis antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen akan diketahui melalui uji parametrik independent sample t-test dengan nilai sig. > 0,05 yang berarti homogen. Jika thitung > tabel yang dihasilkan dari uji t-pihak kanan maka dapat dikatakan bahwa HO ditolak dan Ha diterima berarti model pembelajaran yang digunakan di kelas eksperimen memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan. Pada penelitian yang sudah dilakukan diketahui bahwa model pembelajaran project based learning (PjBL) berpengaruh dengan signifikan terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik yang diketahui melalui perbedaan rata-rata nilai kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen.  Kata kunci: model pembelajaran, model PjBL, keterampilan berpikir kritis. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v24i4.pp859-86

    Ethnomathematical Analysis of Wapauwe Kaitetu Old Mosque Building: Between Myth and Science

    This study aims to explore public perception of the existence of the Wapauwe Kaitetu mosque which involves mathematical concepts in building construction. Therefore, this research method is qualitative with a descriptive-exploratory approach. This research was carried out in Kaitetu village, Central Maluku with two subjects, namely community leaders and mosque guards who knew the existence of the Wapauwe Kaitetu mosque. The instruments used are interview guidelines and observation sheets. The mathematical objects in the Wapauwe Kaitetu mosque are: quadrilateral (square and trapezium); elliptical; triangle; circle; spaces (cubes, trapezoidal prisms, pyramids and tubes); compass; and deep congruences. Furthermore, myth (using telepathy as a means of communication with other dimensional societies) and science (building construction using good quality wooden frames and close connecting wood distances resulting in mosque buildings becoming sturdy and strong).     Development of Project based Statistics e-Module with Scratch Assistance to Improve Students’ Computational Thinking Skills

    Abstract: This study aims to develop a project-based e-module to improve the computational thinking skills in learning statistics. The research subjects were 15 of eight-grade students in class A and 32 students in class E. The research has succeeded in developing the learning module assisted by Scratch which found to be valid and effective in improving students' mathematical computational thinking skills. This is supported by the validation result of 3.10 with a valid category. Student responses to the e-module obtained an average score of 3.57 in the very practical category. The teacher's response to the e-module obtained a score of 3.40 in the practical category. The effectivity test of the module toward students' mathematical problem solving ability found that n-gain score was 68.93. These results conform that the developed e-module meets the valid, practical and effective criteria. Keywords: e-module, project based learning, computational thinking. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pengembangan e-modul project-based learning berbantuan scratch untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir komputasi siswa SMP Neger 2 Kuta. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII A yang berjumlah 15 orang serta kelas VIII E yang berjumlah 32 orang. Penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan pada kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Kuta ini telah berhasil mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran meliputi E-Modul berorientasi PjBL berbantuan Scratch yang valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir komputasi matematis peserta didik. Hal ini didukung dengan hasil skor validasi dari para ahli sebesar 3,10 dengan kategori valid. Respon peserta didik terhadap E-Modul diperoleh rata-rata skor 3,57 dengan kategori sangat praktis. Respon guru terhadap E-Modul diperoleh skor 3,40 dengan kategori praktis. Hasil gain score tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik sebesar 68,93 tergolong dalam kategori “efektif”.
