Enduring and communicatively negotiating experiences of conflict and resistance, are central to an inclusive literature pedagogy, particularly in intercultural and transcultural contexts. The article proposes that, instead of interpreting literature in a traditional sense, literary education ought to focus on reading experiences of resistance through an agonistic lens in order to provide students with meaningful cultural and artistic experiences and to contribute to democratic learning. Through a three-step approach consisting of elementarization, recategorization, and modeling, this article combines literary studies and theories of agonism with principles of inclusive foreign language teaching to emphasize that the goal of teaching literature should not be the \u27successful\u27 interpretation of literature but should lie, instead, on the recognition and cooperative negotiation of resistance
Class readings appear to have taken a back seat in lessons for several reasons, although there are many arguments in their favour, such as providing an opportunity for literary discussion. Selecting the right book is particularly important. In this article, extracts from an orientation grid will be presented, which will assist teachers in choosing appropriate texts. The points of reference are based on literature and generated with the help of episodic interviews. This article focuses on the experiences and wishes of the young adults (both with and without disabilities) that were interviewed
Models for proof comprehension in secondary and tertiary education and their fit to learning processes for first-year undergraduate students
In tertiary education didactics, proof comprehension has recently established itself as a growing research field. Although the models used there largely build upon each other, this article highlights inconsistencies in the consideration of different text levels. It merges the previous contributions into a unified model of proof comprehension, integrating current models from cognitive-psychological reading research. Using the example of different teaching and learning goals concerning proofs in school and university, the connectivity and the adaptivity of the unified model are demonstrated. In tertiary education didactics, proof comprehension has recently established itself as a field of growing research. Although the models used there largely build upon each other, this article highlights inconsistencies in the consideration of different text levels. It merges the previous contributions into a unified model of proof comprehension. Using the example of different proof functions and different teaching goals in school and university, the connectivity and adaptivity of the unified model are demonstrated. A qualitative survey about the success criteria that students use to evaluate their proof comprehension also shows that the model is appropriate and of sufficient scope

Teaching Typically Achieving Students and Students With Learning Disabilities About the Science Underlying Climate Change
This research evaluated the implementation of a climate science curriculum intervention for students in Grades 4 and 5, including those who were typically achieving and those with difficulties in mathematics, reading, or both. Pre- and posttests of measurement and climate change science concepts were administered at the beginning and end of each study. Study 1 consisted of 69 students in the control group (three classes) and 74 students in the treatment group (four classes). Study 2 included 50 students in the control group (three classes) and 46 students in the treatment group (three classes). Compared to Study 1, the curriculum was significantly modified in Study 2 to incorporate more interactive and arts-based activities. Dichotomous and continuous analysis approaches were conducted. Overall, the results of the analyses indicated that students in the treatment group, regardless of whether they had any learning difficulties, improved significantly in their understanding of the scientific concepts underlying climate change and global warming
Abstract (english): From Fake News to ChatGPT. Digital Text Sovereignty as an Ethical-Political EducationalTask for German Didactics and Teaching in the Digital World
The digital transformation is changing schools and universities both comprehensi-vely and profoundly. German didactics and teaching are of particular importance in this context, because the digital transformation appears primarily in the form of multimodal or symmedial digital texts (Frederking / Krommer 2019; 2022). Specific ethical and political implications are associated with this. After all, hate speech, cy-berbullying, digital disinformation, digital influencing, and digital fake news (Freder-king 2022a; 2023) are language-based phenomena. The same is true for generative AI-based chatbots such as ChatGPT. They, too, significantly change digital textuality and subject-specific ethical and political education in the digital world. That the theo-ry of digital textual sovereignty (Frederking 2022a; 2023) offers starting points to meet these new subject-specific challenges will be clarified below. First, the theory will be presented in an accentuated way and its ethical-political implications will be illustrated (1). Practical applications will then be focused on the example of Fake News and ChatGPT (2)
Abstract (english): Digital learning communities during the teaching practicum. Perception of an approachto the connection between theory and practice in the training of teachers of the subject German
The article presents first results of the project DiLe („Digital Learning Communities for Coherent Learning Support in the Model of Teacher Education in Jena“). The project aims to improve the cooperation between school and university in the supervision of students in the 5-month teaching practicum. School mentors in the teaching practicum are given the opportunity to expand their academic knowledge of teaching German language and literature with the help of digital training modules. So, they can relate academic knowledge to the requirements of the classroom in a dialog with students in the teaching practicum. The article explores the expectations of the par-ticipants in the subject German. It also asks to what extent they see these expectations fulfilled and to what extent they take up the presented academic knowledge in the digital exchange. Our data consists of short statements of the participants (pre/post), recordings of video conferences as well as interviews. The discussion of the results addresses the extent to which digitally controlled teaching and communica-tion processes between the participants can help to overcome the double distance between university and school
Teaching newly immigrated children German as language of instruction as quickly and sustainably as possible is both, self-evident and difficult to implement. In the following, an innovative language education concept is presented and, based on a qualitative interview study with teachers, opportunities and challenges for its use in the classroom are identified as well as the need for support in its implementation
