Eigenvalue instantons in the spectral form factor of random matrix model
We study the late time plateau behavior of the spectral form factor in the Gaussian Unitary Ensemble (GUE) random matrix model. The time derivative of the spectral form factor in the plateau regime is not strictly zero, but non-zero due to a nonperturbative correction in the 1/N expansion. We argue that such a non-perturbative correction comes from the eigenvalue instanton of random matrix model and we explicitly compute the instanton correction as a function of time.ArticleJOURNAL OF HIGH ENERGY PHYSICS.(3):147(2019)journal articl
Wilson loops in 3d N=4 SQCD from Fermi gas
We study 1/2 BPS Wilson loops in 3d N = 4 U(N) Yang-Mills theory with one adjoint and N-f fundamental hypermultiplets from the Fermi gas approach. By numerical fitting, we find the first few worldsheet instanton corrections to the Wilson loops with winding numbers 1, 2 and 3. Hemodynamic Response to Massive Bleeding in a Patient with Congenital Insensitivity to Pain with Anhidrosis
A patient with congenital insensitivity to pain with anhidrosis (CIPA) underwent revision of total hip arthroplasty under general anesthesia with only propofol. During surgery, neither elevation of stress hormones nor hemodynamic changes associated with pain occurred; however, when blood was rapidly lost, compensatory tachycardia was observed. Although patients with CIPA are complicated with autonomic disturbance due to dysfunction of postganglionic sympathetic fibers, this compensatory response indicated that the adrenal glands in patients with CIPA secrete catecholamine as part of a compensatory response during bleeding under general anesthesia.ArticleCase Reports in Anesthesiology.2018:9593458(2018)journal articl
An Al-doped SrTiO3 photocatalyst maintaining sunlight-driven overall water splitting activity for over 1000 h of constant illumination
Photocatalytic water splitting is a viable approach to the large-scale production of renewable solar hydrogen. The apparent quantum yield for this reaction has been improved, but the lifespan of photocatalysts functioning under sunlight at ambient pressure have rarely been examined, despite the critical importance of this factor in practical applications. Herein, we show that Al-doped SrTiO3 (SrTiO3: Al) loaded with a RhCrOx (rhodium chromium oxide) cocatalyst splits water with an apparent quantum yield greater than 50% at 365 nm. Moreover, following the photodeposition of CoOOH and TiO2, this material maintains 80% of its initial activity and a solar-to-hydrogen energy conversion efficiency greater than or equal to 0.3% over a span of 1300 h under constant illumination by simulated sunlight at ambient pressure. This result is attributed to reduced dissolution of Cr in the cocatalyst following the oxidative photodeposition of CoOOH. The photodeposition of TiO2 further improves the durability of this photocatalyst. VKOP: 3次元幾何構造に適した仮想特徴点検出器及びその特徴記述子
3次元形状分析は,安価な3次元センサーの普及により,コンピュータビジョンの重要な研究テーマになりつつある.その中でも,再現性と弁別性のある領域を探す局所特徴点の抽出は,最も着目されている技術の1つである.従来の局所特徴点抽出は,周囲と比較して突出した形状を構成する点を探索する手法が主である.しかしながら,このような点はセンサノイズやオクルージョンといった要因により,点群間の再現性が低いという問題がある.そこで我々は,点群間の再現性の高い平面形状に着目した.提案法では,点群から複数の平面方程式を推定し,これらを組み合わせて仮想的な位置にVirtual Keypoint Of Polyhedron(VKOP)と呼ぶ特徴点を得る.また,その特徴記述子についても,平面方程式のみを用いて算出する.実験結果から,提案方式は複数の従来方式と比較して,同等の処理時間でより高精度に局所特徴点を抽出できることを確認した.Article画像電子学会誌.46(2):283-297(2017)journal articl

Identification of the Myogenetic Oligodeoxynucleotides (myoDNs) That Promote Differentiation of Skeletal Muscle Myoblasts by Targeting Nucleolin
Herein we report that the 18-base telomeric oligodeoxynucleotides (ODNs) designed from the Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG genome promote differentiation of skeletal muscle myoblasts which are myogenic precursor cells. We termed these myogenetic ODNs (myoDNs). The activity of one of the myoDNs, iSN04, was independent of Toll-like receptors, but dependent on its conformational state. Molecular simulation and iSN04 mutants revealed stacking of the 13–15th guanines as a core structure for iSN04. The alkaloid berberine bound to the guanine stack and enhanced iSN04 activity, probably by stabilizing and optimizing iSN04 conformation. We further identified nucleolin as an iSN04-binding protein. Results showed that iSN04 antagonizes nucleolin, increases the levels of p53 protein translationally suppressed by nucleolin, and eventually induces myotube formation by modulating the expression of genes involved in myogenic differentiation and cell cycle arrest. A carbon nanotube-reinforced noble tin anode structure for lithium-ion batteries
A carbon nanotube (CNT)-reinforced noble tin anode structure in which CNTs fasten the tin layer to a copper underlayer has been fabricated using plating techniques so as to improve the cyclability of lithium-ion batteries. In this process, a Cu/CNTs composite layer, on one side of which CNTs protrude from the surface, is formed using a reverse current electrodeposition technique. The surface of this composite layer is subsequently coated with a tin layer by a substitution-type electroless plating technique, resulting in the CNT-reinforced noble tin anode structure. The electrochemical characteristics of this noble tin anode structure have been evaluated and compared to those of a tin anode structure without CNTs. The noble tin anode structure shows significantly improved cyclability compared with the tin anode structure and maintains a higher reversible capacity of 591 mAh g(-1), a value that is 1.6 times the theoretical capacity of graphite, even after 30 cycles.ArticleJOURNAL OF APPLIED ELECTROCHEMISTRY. 46(3):331-338 (2016)journal articl
A地域における幼児期の子どもの足と靴に関する実態調査
幼児期の子どもの足は、おとなの足へと育つ基礎が作られる大切な時期である。子どもに関わるおとなは、この時期の子どもの足に関心を向け、足の成長や運動機能の発達を考慮し、多くの注意をはらって子どもの靴を選ぶ必要がある。そのため、子どもとその保護者へ、子どもの足と靴の知識の普及に向けて、A地域の保育園・幼稚園年中クラスの保護者168名に対し質問紙による調査を行い、子どもの足と靴に関する実態を明らかにした。結果、130名の回収(回収率77.4%)を得た。保護者の68名(52.3%)は、子どもの足に合う靴を選び、靴が合っていると感じているが、約3割の子どもには、「靴擦れ」や「爪が割れる」などのトラブルがあり、実際の足のサイズや靴の正しい選び方、履き方が出来ていない可能性が推察された。また、足や靴に関心のある保護者は多いが、今までに健康教育を受ける機会が少なかった。今後、保護者と子どもに関わる全てのおとなを対象とした、保育や教育現場、健康診査等の医療・保健活動の場などでの健康教育プログラムを検討していく。Infancy is an important period for childrenʼs feet and provides the foundation for their development into adulthood. It is necessary that adults who deal with children pay attention to childrenʼs feet during this period, taking into consideration their growth and development of motor function and selecting childrenʼs shoes with great care. In order to spread awareness about childrenʼs feet and shoes to children and their parents, a questionnaire survey was conducted with 168 parents in yearround kindergartens and nurseries in Area A.I got a result and collection of 130 people(77.4% of rate of collection). The results found that around 68(52.3%)of all parents chose shoes they felt fi t their childrenʼs feet, but around 30% of children had problems such as “rubbing against the shoe” and “nails breaking,” suggesting that there may be difficulties with correctly determining shoe size, selecting shoes or putting on shoes properly. Although many parents showed concern with their childrenʼs feet and shoes, there were limited opportunities to learn about childrenʼs foot health and care. In the future, health education programs for all adults who deal with children, should be considered for implementation at childcare and educational settings or during check-ups at medical and healthcare centers, etc.departmental bulletin pape
看護学生の大学生活に関する要望 : 学生アンケートの自由記載の計量テキスト分析
2019年度に実施したキャンパスライフに関するアンケートで、自由記載に書かれた学生の大学生活に関する要望について計量テキスト分析を行った。学生の要望は「学習環境」と「学習支援」に分類された。「学習環境」に関する記述の中に多く出現した語の上位3つは「レストラン」「空調」「時間」であり、語の共起関係から(1)レストランの座席数の増加(2)学校バスの運行時間の見直し(3)空調の温度設定の最適化(4)大学・図書館の開放時間の拡大(5)勉強・食事・くつろぎのスペースの確保(6)売店の設置が示された。「学習支援」に関する記述の中に多く出現した語の上位4つは「教員」「授業」「時間」「人」であり、語の共起関係から(1)教員の言動の改善(2)自分以外の人への対応の必要性(3)実習費用の補助への期待(4)学生交流の機会の設定(5)講義に関する連絡の早期対応が示された。これらの要望からは学生の学びの場として高い認識と学びへの意欲が読み取れた。学生の大学生活ヘの要望に向き合い、学生と共に大学環境を整えていくことが重要である。departmental bulletin pape
