The 'Hyuga Exposition' Held at the Hirakata Park, Osaka : Local Governments and Newspapers, Private Railways in the National Celebration of the 2,600 years of the Imperial Era
Get PDF本稿では、紀元二千六百年奉祝の一環として、1940年に大阪・枚方遊園で開催された「肇国聖地日向博覧会」(日向博)をとりあげる。日向博はこれまで言及されることがほとんどない、いわば忘却された博覧会であるが、残された資料をもとに考察した結果、以下の点が明らかになった。第一に、紀元二千六百年奉祝事業をめぐる地方間、新聞社間、鉄道会社間の競争と対抗関係から、宮崎県一大阪毎日新聞一京阪電鉄の間に連携が生じ、この連携のなかで同博覧会が開催されたこと。第二に、同博覧会は「聖地巡拝」という名の観光(聖蹟観光)をテーマとしており、それは「肇国の聖地・日向」の立体パノラマによるスペクタクル化によって表象され、都市中間層を聖蹟観光に動員しようとするものであったこと。第三に、「おきよ丸」による神武東遷の再現航海事業と日向博が結びつけられていたこと。その背景には、ともに神話あるいは肇国の聖地のスペクタクル化であるという両者の共通性が存在すること。第四に、日向博における都市中間層の動員、「聖蹟観光」における皇室ブランドの活用などは、戦後の宮崎観光(新婚旅行ブーム)に姿を変えて引き継がれていった可能性が示唆されたこと。departmental bulletin pape
Effective Instruction of Public Speaking

The author has been in charge of the speech classes,SPEECH III and SPEECH IV mainly for the second year students at Miyazaki Municipal University for several years. At the preparation stage of SPEECH III, and IV, he intended that the class size was about 30 students as one group in the lecture style. But, in reality, more than 50 students took the course. Then he had to rethink the way of teaching. To solve the problem of large-size class in speaking instruction, introduction of group activities was considered.First of all, the aims and outline of SPEECH courses that consist of six courses are described. The students who take SPEECH learn pronunciations, speech making and performances, and debate step by step continuously in the span of 3 years. An Experimental Method for the Study of Time Perception at the Individual Level -with Reference to a Case Study in a Catholic Community Mani, Yucatan, Mexico-
Get PDFThe aim of this paper is to present a concrete experimental method for the study of time perception at the individual level. On the basis of exploratory discussion of analytical viewpoints and those hypotheses which the present author has ever proposed, three psychoanalytical models showed by Bin Kimura : ante festum consciousness, intra festum consciousness and post festum consciousness and myth and eschatological thought are discussed in terms of externalization or verbal expressions. The present author deals with time perception at the individual level only in this paper. Consequently the focus is strictly limited to the study of representation of the past and the presentation of a concrete experimental method for the study of time perception at the individual level. For further analysis of time perception at the individual level, it is a must to inquire more deeply into what Bin Kimura call intra festum consciousness, or 'an eternal life in this world・the everlasting re=presentation of present.' Certificate Examination and Contribution to Local People
Get PDF地域貢献として宮崎商工会議所が主催するみやざき観光・文化検定の採点システムを効率化する方法を研究開発した。以前はExcelを利用する方法を提案し、運用していたが、今回はマークシートを利用する方法を採用することにした。マークシート読み取り機であるOMRの選定方法を仕様、インターフェースの両面から検討した。次にOMRを利用するためのソフトウエア開発を2つの方法で検討し双方の利点と欠点を示した。宮崎商工会議所の方とマークシートで収集する情報内容、それらの配置などすべて話し合いながら研究し、最終システムまで開発した。運用した結果、オペレータの人数、コンピュータの台数、処理速度、ファイルサイズなどさまざまな点で大きな改良が認められた。また、今後の検定試験のありかたを議論するデータが入手できた。この結果は、検定試験の合格者のレベルを保証し、観光の振興に寄与するものと期待できる。この貢献に対し、宮崎商工会議所から感謝状をいただいた。departmental bulletin pape

Get PDF小論の目的は、メキシコの低地マヤ・ユカテカの一カトリック村落マニにおける宗教的文化統合のあり方を、空間感覚という視点から解明することである。宗教的文化統合は仮説的概念である。「宗教が文化の中心に位置していて、その文化のある部分を濃く、ある部分を弱く色づけている」と仮説的に考えて、社会を調査し分析していくために作成されている。この仮説に立つことによって、宗教現象の諸特性を時間感覚、空間感覚、社会構造、政治経済的態度などの視点から具体的に分析し、個人的断面と集団的断面の両面において、宗教現象の科学的解明を試みる。本稿では、1983年以来、マニにおいて実施してきている空間感覚の調査研究の最終段階として、有意味写真の構成方法ならびにそれに関連する仮説的見解と調査方法を提示し、空間感覚分析の序論的考察を行った。具体的には、有意味写真を使用した調査を行うにあたって、最初に、考古学と歴史学の史資料を使用して、低地マヤの一カトリック村落マニに関係するマヤ的な空間構造の一側面を提示し、次に、その古代マヤ的な要素はスペイン人征服後のヨーロッパ的・カトリック的要素と混在し複合しつつ存続してきている実態を提示し、それらの考察を踏まえて、空間感覚を個人レベルで抽出する具体的方法を提示した。有意味写真を使用した空間感覚に関する調査結果を、これまで蒐集してきた説話伝承、社会構造、儀礼慣習の領域での空間感覚に関する調査結果と総合することによって、全体としての空間感覚をより厳密な内容にしていく。departmental bulletin pape
”Desire” in D. H. Lawrence
Get PDFLawrence thought that life is not a static material, but something streaming, or flowing. This is especially remarkable in his later works. This idea of Lawrence first can be seen in Women in Love, and becomes clearer in The Plumed Serpent. There is an reflection of the same idea also in The Virgin and the Gipsy. This story describes a young heroine who lives frustrated and dissatisfied within the "pale" and comes to understand the significance of living up to the flow of life attracted by the "desire" of a gipsy man who lives outside the "pale." This is, in that sense, a story of "passion." The Virgin and the Gipsy has a gipsy who lives a life-oriented life outside the social order, travelling around with no house to settle in. In that sense, the gipsy has the similarity with the native Indians following the life-impulse in New Mexico in The Plumed Serpent, Mellors enjoying a solitary life in the woods in Lady Chatterley's Lover, the man who once died and was wounded all over in The Man Who Died. The Criminal Settlement and Community in the Nobeoka Clan in the Early Modern
Get PDF近世社会における紛争解決の在り方は多様であり、公益にかかわる重大犯罪事件以外の多くは当事者間の内済で済まされた。刑事事件の内済は無条件に認められたわけではないが、当事者間の和解による関係修復、刑罰の回避、公権力による必要的科刑の範囲限定、村の秩序回復、裁判手続きに付帯する出費・時間浪費の回避など、さまざまな理由・要因により広汎に行われた。本稿では、日向国延岡藩で起きた刑事事件をいくつかとりあげ、同じような事件であるのに検使出役となった事件と出役御免となった事件とを比べ、なにがその基準となっているのかを検証した。刑事事件のうち、溺死、焼死、精神錯乱、事故・災害、行き倒れ・急死、相対死をそれぞれ分析し、また他領引合事件について、藩の規定を確認するとともに、引合先が藩領と幕領それぞれの場合を検討した。これによって、検使出役には時間・経費など諸費用がかかりその回避が図られたが、事件の解明のためにそれを優先することは無かったことを示し、事件処理をめぐる藩権力と在地との関係を明らかにした。departmental bulletin pape
