English Pronunciation Trainings for Elementary School Teachers
Get PDF小学校に英語活動が本格的に導入され、小学校の教育現場で英語の授業が行われている。英語活動の実態はALT(英語指導助手)任せていたり、中学校の英語教員が指導にあたったり、小学校の担任自らが指導にあたったりと形態は様々である。小学校での活動であるので、担任自らが英語活動の中心を担うのが本筋と言える。しかし、英語力に対する不安、発音に対する自信のなさから、小学校の教員が現場で十分に力が発揮できない状況も見受けられる。 このような状況を少しでも打開するために行った小学校教員に対する発音ワークショップをまとめてみた。英語母語話者のような発音とまではいかなくても、少なくとも英語として認識されうる音声の獲得は、教員でなくても必要なスキルである。英語音声学の基本的な知識も必要であるが、まずは英語音を実地に出せるようになることが急務である。研修時間の取りにくい小学校の現場で毎日少しずつの努力で英語音声の確立を目指せる訓練を提案していく。 本稿は、筆者が以前英語音声学会において行ったワークショップの内容を中心に執筆加筆した。departmental bulletin pape
The Way to "Wholeness" in D. H. Lawrence
Get PDFLawrence's efforts in his works were centered on how one should establish the relationship of man to woman. As seen in A Propos of "Lady Chatterley's Lover," Lawrence thought that "we have abstracted men and women into separate personalities -personalities being isolated units, incapable of togetherness" and been "bodiless, dead." In almost all his works, he quested how one could get togetherness, casting away the separated self. The thought that humans have lost the vivid relationships drove him to produce interesting stories, including Women in Love. Hermione and Gerald represent those who have been separated from the wholeness of life. Lawrence's idea of the human relationships gets to be directed to a greater self or a greater life beyond individuality towards the end of his life. The purpose here is to trace how Lawrence developed a little self into a greater one in his later works.departmental bulletin pape

An Experimental Method for the Study of Time Perception at the Individual Level -with Reference to a Case Study in a Catholic Community in Mani, Yucatan, Mexico-
Get PDFThe aim of this paper is to describe and clarify several aspects of time perception complex from a working hypothetical concept of a small Catholic Community, Mani. The main findings are as follows: The center and the four quarters, the public nature of communal land, re=presentation of mythological facts, public or universal mindedness of prayer and compadrazgo in Catholicism are vital religio-cultural factors in terms of time perception. From the perspective of Maya-Catholicism complex, Catholic church, Maya cross(cruz verde), the center of Maya community k'iwic, sacred ceiba tree(yaxche), and cenote(actun) are surviving relics of remote antiquity. Four analytical models for time perception are proposed for more analytical and heuristic study of time perception both at the individual level and the collective level.departmental bulletin pape

Get PDF本稿は、宮崎市の沖縄・奄美タウン、波島地区を対象に、フィールドワークと聞き書きを行い、宮崎において「移民」によって形成された街や文化のあり方を考察するものである。波島地区は、戦前から戦後にかけて、沖縄・奄美からの「移民」が集住した「集落」、言わば、宮崎を異郷として生きる出郷民たちの街である。そのため、波島には、「移動」によって媒介された複数の文化が形成されてもいる。 日本文学ゼミ(専門演習IIおよびI)では、この波島地区を対象として、2012年9月末から複数回にわたりフィールドワークを行い、また、2012年11月3日の午後、大学祭・凌雲祭にて、波島地区から二名のゲスト・大城規由氏(宮琉紬・伝統工芸師、宮崎沖縄県人会会長)、山内武氏(宮崎漆器・伝統工芸師)を迎え、トークセッションを行った。本稿は、そうした準備段階から、本番までの過程をめぐるひとつの記録である。なお、宮崎を異郷として生きる出郷民たちの街と記憶に関わる本稿の記述は、傷つき、傷つけられた者たちの秘められた記憶とそれを抱えて生きる生や身体をめぐる言語行為として、政治学者で詩人の李静和が提出した「つぶやき」という関わりを参照しつつ行うこととした。departmental bulletin pape

Get PDF本稿では、宗教的文化統合という仮説的操作概念を使用して、マヤ・ユカテカの一カトリック村落マニの空間感覚を分析した。具体的な分析の場面での仮説的視点は、宗教事象の太古性・残存性、世界性・公共性、理念性・非合理性、社会統合(integration)・内調整(inner adjustment)機能である。 マニの空間感覚の全体像としては、中心・四方(五方)および共有地の太古性・残存性、神話的事実の現実化の理念性・非合理性、祈りとコンパドラスゴの世界性・公共性が重要である事実を提示した。 さらにマニの修道会・教会がマヤの伝統とカトリシズムを複合させつつ重要な空間として存続変容してきている実態を分析した。具体的には、修道会・教会の建築空間の象徴性を宗教事象の太古性・残存性、世界性・公共性、理念性・非合理性、社会統合(integration)・内調整(inner adjustment)機能の視点から分析した。主に中心(k'iwic ; centro)、インディオ学校・インディオ礼拝堂、セイバの木(yaxche)・洞窟(actun)、マヤ十字形と十字架、聖母マリアによる幼子イエスの左抱き聖像を分析することによって、マニの修道会・教会がマヤ・カトリシズム複合体として存続変容してきている事実を提示した。 これらの分析結果を踏まえて、さらにマニの空間感覚を個人の断面で具体的にかつ厳密に分析することが今後の研究課題である。departmental bulletin pape
