Impact of the "Rule of Law" Issue on Party Politics in East Central Europe
Get PDFIn East Central Europe, the breach of the rule of law has garnered considerable attention, often in the context of their conflicts with the European Union. However, the response of domestic opposition forces holds significance, given its potential to reshape policies and challenge populist parties through elections. This article delves into the impact of the rule of law issue on party competition within domestic opposition parties, focusing on parliamentary elections in Poland and the Czech Republic. Poland's rule of law issues, particularly judicial independence, have triggered EU recommendations and sanctions. Some opposition parties in Poland have centered their election campaigns on this issue, forming coalitions to confront the ruling party, while others emphasized alternative policy positions. In the Czech Republic, although populist parties had fewer rule of law violations, the opposition prioritized this issue, forging electoral and governmental coalitions around it, despite divergent ideologies. Poland saw no government change, preserving the traditional party competition pattern, whereas the Czech Republic achieved a change in government, though blurring the lines along the left-right and GAL-TAN axes of party competition.Article【論文／Articles】departmental bulletin pape

課題目的の共有と関係継続性が協調意図に及ぼす影響―ペアワーク課題のシナリオを用いた検討―
Get PDF課題目的の共有とチームとしての関係継続性が課題遂行の協調意図に及ぼす影響について検討した。実験では大学生参加者（n=123）に対し，授業課題としてペアで発表を行う場面を想像させた。その際，発表における自分の目的（わかりやすさ・うけをねらう）と相手の目的（わかりやすさ・うけをねらう），関係継続性をシナリオにより操作した。そして事前準備段階における協調意図（e.g., 自主的に発表のリハーサルを行う），相互作用段階における協調意図（e.g., 計画がうまくいかない場合に何ができるか考える）を測定した。その結果，関係が継続する場合，発表課題に対して“うけをねらう”目的が共有されていると事前の資料準備における協調意図が他の条件と比較して高いことが示された。チームで課題目的を共有する意義として，メンバー間の協調を高める可能性について考察された。
Effects of sharing project’s purpose and relationship continuity as a team on cooperative intentions were examined. In the experiment, undergraduates（n=123）were instructed to imagine the situation in which they would make a presentation in pairs as part of a class assignment. Their own purpose for the presentation（easy-to-understand/hit-driven）and the other’s purpose（easy-tounderstand/ hit-driven）, and the relationship continuity as a team were manipulated using a scenario. The cooperative intentions in the preparation stage（e.g., rehearsing the presentation independently）and cooperative intentions in the interaction stage（e.g., thinking about what they can do if their plans don’t go well）were measured. Results suggested that when participants shared the purpose of “hit-driven” in the continuing condition, the levels of cooperative intentions in preparing materials were high compared to other conditions. The possibility of improving cooperation among members was discussed as the significance of sharing project’s purpose.Article【原著／Original Articles】departmental bulletin pape
