Women Career Opportunity In Retail Industry: A Study Of Local Retail Firms In Indonesia
Get PDFThis study examines the problems faced by female employees in a national retail company in Indonesia. Customers will easily find sales promotion girl that offers a variety of products in shopping center, but unfortunately they are not part of the company\u27s employees. In fact retail companies recruit more male employees. The results of Interviews of employees and company management indicate that the prevailing stereotype in public custom that women are physically weaker than men is true and is acknowledged even by the female employees themselves. In addition, the conflicting role of women as workers and as housewives raises a mindset of female employees that career is not a priority and something that must be pursued. The task of taking care of the family restricts the movement of female employees in making decisions related to their career path in the future
Developing Discovery Larning Model-Based Instructional Materials For Teaching Natural Science (Biology) To The Students In Class VIII Of SMP/MTS
Get PDFThis reseatch is categorized into a research and development study intended to produce natural science (biology) instructional materials in the from of lesson plan and students worksheets on the basis of discovery learning model for teaching “excretion system” topic.Based on the results of the validity test, it is figured out that the validity score of the handout is 3,9 (valid), the students worksheets is 4,1 (very valid), and the lesson plans is 4.02 (valid). The results of practicality test shows that the practicality score given by teachers for the instructional materials developed is 82% (very practical) and that given by the students is 91,25% (very practical). Furthermore, the effectiveness of the products could be seen from the score of the srudents’ learning activities (72% of effective), and their learning achievement (85,66%). 80% of the students could achieve the minimum standard score, while the rest (9 students) fail. The above result suggest that the biology instructional materials developed by using Discovery Learning Model are valid, very practical and effetive

In this study using communication theory, mass communication, construction news, the response of netizens, online media. This research using quantitative descriptive analysis. Data collection techniques in this study using online data collection techniques. The conclusion of this study resulted in the analysis and discussion, namely: (1) Construction news positive effect on hoax reports in online media, which means that the development of existing and emerging news in online media will affect the spread hoax story in online media. (2) Response netizen positive effect on hoax story in online media, which means that more and more netizens are responding to news hoax, the hoax news distribution will be wider and wilder without referring to the ethics journalistic. (3) Construction of communication and the response of netizens have an active and significant impact on the hoax news in online media, which means that both variables provide great influence in spreading the hoax in online media

The Effectiveness and Practicality of Student Worksheet based on Guided Inquiry in Thermochemistry Lesson
Get PDFThe study of development student worksheet based on guided inquiry has been conducted for thermochemistry subject for high school. This study aims to determine the validity, practicality and effectiveness of development student worksheet using plomp model. The results show that the developed student worksheet in very valid categorized (82.1%). The application of guided inquiry in student worksheet has been practicality tested by teachers and students, and it show the result of 81.25% and 85.1%, respectively. This value indicates that student worksheet is very practical. Based on the students activity aspect, the effectiveness student worksheet based on guided inquiry reaches 84.4% (very effective), whereas based on learning outcomes have a n-gain value of 0.6 (medium). It can be concluded that the developed student worksheet is in very valid, very practical and very effective category so as to improve the students understanding
