MESSAGE FROM CHRIS:
To all staff:
To help us write a new strategic plan (2006-2008), Nathan has formed a Strategic Planning Task Force 
(SPTF) of Dana Antonucci, Aimee De Chambeau, Mary Ficuciello, and Lynn Toscano.  Nathan is also a 
member.  The basic charge to this task force is to design a process by which we can develop a new plan 
by September.  This process begins with a call to all departments and teams to submit their 
accomplishments for the period March 2005-March 2006 as reports for the Director's Council meeting on 
May 3.  The SPTF will use these reports to design all-staff meetings in early June to acknowledge and 
celebrate these accomplishments.  You will be hearing more from the task force about the rationale for 
strategic planning and the process and schedule for creating, reviewing, and finalizing a new two-year 
strategic plan.  
I thank Nathan for taking the lead in planning, and I thank Dana, Aimee, Mary, and Lynn for agreeing to 
serve on the task force.  Our planning effort is in good hands.

STAFF MEETINGS TO SPOTLIGHT ACCOMPLISHMENTS :
Tuesday, June 6th is the date.  Javits Room is the place.  You are the reason to celebrate.  There will be a 
new powerpoint of library accomplishments.  It will be an opportunity to share department's and team's 
efforts over the past year . . . March 2005 - March 2006.  Javits Room, being the location for the meetings, 
is just TOO CROWDED when all library staff show up at the same time.  At each meeting, there will be 
light refreshments to include assorted juice and cookies.  
Let Maryanne know your preference  10:00 - 11:30 am or 1:30 - 3:00 pm, but remember not all of you can 
attend in the morning.  Also, the midday remains open to accommodate all your different lunch schedules.
