Recommended Campus Environmental Committee Charge: 
This committee shall examine all aspects of the campus environment, including but not limited to conservation of 
natural areas, ecological preserves, and historical artifacts, transportation, parking issues, infrastructure, facilities 
planning, human health issues, safety and security energy efficiency, recycling, waste management, and general 
appearance of all campuses. It will consult with and advise the Assistant or the Vice-president for Facilities and 
Services.

Dear Colleagues:
As reported at yesterday's Executive Board meeting, we have entered an 
approximate one month nominating period for Chapter Officer/Delegate 
positions and representative attendance at the NYSUT and AFT 
conventions.  A flyer will be going out to all bona fide members in the next 
few days.
As you  know, the nomination process can be self directed.  That is to say, 
you can nominate yourself or any other member of the bargaining unit.  
Nominee signatures are required. Be cognizant of the necessary mailing 
procedures.
To put some degree of centrality to the process, we will have all the 
necessary nomination forms here in the Chapter office.  If you or a 
member/colleague are interested in running for any office or delegate role, 
you need only stop by the office.  On the desk in the reception area you will 
find the forms and instructions for the Chapter elections as well as the 
affiliate conventions.  This option will be available until mid-day Friday 
February 2.
As a current UUP activist, I hope that you will encourage your colleagues to 
consider Chapter involvement.  Contested elections send the best possible 
message regarding our work.
All nomination forms must be received at UUP Central by February 7.
IMPORTANT:  From now through the election period, nominees for any/all 
positions may not utilize any campus/department communications medium 
(phone, copier, e-mail) for campaigning.  Any such campaign costs must be 
borne by the candidate(s).
