Edukasi dan Pemberian Obat Pencegahan Massal untuk Meningkatkan Pengetahuan Anak Usia Dini tentang Diare dan Infeksi Cacing
Peningkatan pengetahuan anak usia dini mengenai perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat sangat penting untuk mencegah penyakit berbasis lingkungan seperti diare dan infeksi cacing. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman anak tentang pencegahan kedua penyakit tersebut melalui edukasi interaktif dan pemberian obat pencegahan massal. Metode yang digunakan adalah model desain instruksional ADDIE yang mencakup analisis kebutuhan, perancangan media edukasi, pengembangan video dan leaflet, implementasi edukasi serta simulasi enam langkah cuci tangan, dan pemberian pirantel pamoat kepada 139 siswa TK. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan skor pengetahuan yang signifikan dari pretest (11,3 ± 2,1) ke posttest (16,9 ± 1,7) dengan nilai p < 0,001, serta keterlibatan aktif anak selama kegiatan berlangsung. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di satu TK dengan dukungan terbatas dari orang tua dan dalam durasi kegiatan yang singkat, namun berhasil menunjukkan perubahan signifikan dalam peningkatan pengetahuan anak. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kombinasi pendekatan edukasi visual-partisipatif dan intervensi farmakologis efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan anak serta mendukung pencapaian SDG 3.
Education and Mass Drug Administration to Improve Early Childhood Knowledge on Diarrhea and Intestinal Worm Infections
Abstract
Improving early childhood knowledge of clean and healthy living behaviors is essential to prevent environmentally transmitted diseases such as diarrhea and helminth infections. This program aimed to enhance children’s understanding of disease prevention through interactive education and mass drug administration. The method employed the ADDIE instructional design model, consisting of needs analysis, educational media design, development of videos and leaflets, implementation of health education and six-step handwashing simulation, and administration of pyrantel pamoate to 139 kindergarten students. Evaluation results showed a significant increase in knowledge scores from pretest (11.3 ± 2.1) to posttest (16.9 ± 1.7) with a p-value < 0.001, alongside active engagement from children throughout the activity. It can be concluded that the combination of visual-participatory educational approaches and pharmacological interventions is effective in improving children’s knowledge and supports the achievement of SDG 3
Pelatihan Peningkatan Keterampilan Book Cover Design dengan Adobe Illustrator Tingkat Mahasiswa di Kota Palembang
Industri penerbitan buku cerita bergambar menuntut inovasi visual yang mampu menarik perhatian audiens sekaligus mengkomunikasikan esensi cerita secara efektif. Namun, terjadi kesenjangan signifikan antara kurikulum konvensional dan kebutuhan praktis industry, terutama dalam penerapan prinsip-prinsip desain persuasive pada perancangan sampul buku. Masalah ini menyebabkan mahasiswa kesulitan menghasilkan karya yang sesuai standar professional. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan Book Cover Design pada 19 mahasiswa Program Studi Desain Komunikasi Visual semester 5 dan 7 di Universitas Indo Global Mandiri Palembang. Pelatihan ini berfokus pada kemampuan merancang ulang sampul buku cerita bergambar yang efektif dan menarik sesuai standar industri. Pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan metode workshop partisipatif secara luring yang komprehensif. Metode ini terdiri dari pemaparan materi, studi kasus, workshop praktis dengan software Adobe Illustrator, dan sesi kritik desain terstruktur. Penilaian kemampuan dilakukan melalui asesmen kuantitatif dengan instrument pre-test dan post-test. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman teoritis dan kemampuan praktis mahasiswa. Rata-rata skor asesmen meningkat dari 55% menjadi 77 %, menunjukkan keberhasilan pelatihan. Mahasiswa mampu menerapkan prinsip-prinsip hierarki visual, kontras, keseimbangan, dan kedekatan untuk menghasilkan karya yang lebih profesional dan komunikatif. Kegiatan ini tidak hanya memberikan keahlian teknis, namun juga menumbuhkan kepekaan estetik dan pemikiran strategis mahasiswa. Keberhasilan ini menegaskan bahwa pendekatan workshop partisipatif dengan fokus pada praktik langsung dan kritik desain sangat efektif dalam mempersiapkan mahasiswa menghadapi tuntutan industri kreatif.
Training Program for Improving Book Cover Design Proficiency Among University Students in Palembang with Adobe Illustrator
Abstract
This picture book publishing industry demands visual innovation that is capable of attracting the audience’s attention while effectively communicating the essence of the story. However, a significant gap exists between conventional curricula and practical industry needs, particularly in applying persuasive design principles to book cover design. This issue leads to students struggling to produce work that meets professional standards. This community service project aims to enhance the book cover design skills of 19 Visual Communication Design students from 5th and 7th semesters at Universitas Indo Global Mandiri in Palembang. The training focused on the ability to redesign affective and appealing picture book covers in line with industry standards. The activity was conducted using a comprehensive, in-person participatory workshop method. This method consisted of material presentations, case studies (analyzing popular book covers such as “The Kindest Red” and the classic “The Metamorphosis”), practical workshop using Adobe Illustrator, and structured design critique sessions. Skill assessment was conducted through a quantitative approach using pre-test and post-test instruments. The results of the project show a significant improvement in students’ theoretical understanding and practical abilities. The average assessment score increased from 55% to 77%, demonstrating the success of the training. Students were able to apply principles of visual hierarchy, contrast, balance, and proximity to produce work that were more professional and communicative. This activity not only provided students with technical expertise but also cultivate their aesthetic sensitivity and strategic thinking within the context of visual communication design. This success affirms that a participatory workshop approach focusing on hands-on practice and design critique is highly effective in preparing students to meet the demands of the creative industry
Pemberdayaan UMKM Kuliner di Sleman melalui Penerapan Design Thinking dalam Perancangan Kemasan Produk
UMKM kuliner di Sleman masih menghadapi permasalahan serius pada aspek kemasan produk, khususnya penggunaan bahan yang tidak ramah lingkungan, desain yang kurang menarik, serta minimnya informasi label. Gap utama yang belum banyak disentuh oleh penelitian maupun program pengabdian sebelumnya adalah integrasi pendekatan inovatif yang bersifat partisipatif dan kontekstual dalam peningkatan kapasitas UMKM berbasis desa. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan pelaku UMKM dalam merancang kemasan inovatif yang higienis, estetik, ramah lingkungan, sekaligus sesuai dengan daya dukung usaha mereka. Kegiatan melibatkan 31 peserta UMKM dengan metode design thinking (empathize, define, ideate, prototype, dan testing). Evaluasi melalui pre-test, post-test, dan kuesioner kepuasan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata skor pengetahuan dari 3,06 (SD = 0,82) menjadi 4,61 (SD = 0,74) atau setara dengan kenaikan 50,7%. Pada aspek keterampilan, skor meningkat dari 14,9 (SD = 3,12) menjadi 24,16 (SD = 2,85) atau setara dengan kenaikan 62,1%. Uji statistik dasar (paired sample t-test dan Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test) mengonfirmasi perbedaan signifikan (p < 0,05). Secara ilmiah, hasil ini memperkuat literatur tentang efektivitas design thinking sebagai metode intervensi dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Secara praktis, program ini dapat menjadi model replikasi untuk memperkuat daya saing UMKM di wilayah lain, serta memberikan implikasi pada kebijakan pengembangan kemasan ramah lingkungan dan strategi pemberdayaan UMKM jangka panjang yang berkelanjutan.
Empowering Culinary MSMEs in Sleman through the Application of Design Thinking in Product Packaging Design
Abstract
Culinary MSMEs in Sleman still face critical packaging challenges, particularly the use of non-eco-friendly materials, unattractive designs, and insufficient labeling information. The main gap that has not been adequately addressed in previous studies or community programs is the integration of participatory and contextual innovative approaches in strengthening village-based MSMEs. This program aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of MSME actors in designing innovative packaging that is hygienic, aesthetic, environmentally friendly, and aligned with their business capacities. A total of 31 participants were involved using the design thinking approach (empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and testing). Evaluation through pre-test, post-test, and satisfaction questionnaires showed an increase in average knowledge scores from 3.06 (SD = 0.82) to 4.61 (SD = 0.74), equivalent to a 50.7% improvement. Skills scores rose from 14.9 (SD = 3.12) to 24.16 (SD = 2.85), representing a 62.1% improvement. Basic statistical tests (paired sample t-test and Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test) confirmed these differences as significant (p < 0.05). Scientifically, the findings enrich the literature by demonstrating the effectiveness of design thinking as an intervention method in community service. Practically, the program offers a replicable model to strengthen MSME competitiveness in other regions, with implications for policy on eco-friendly packaging, methodological development in community empowerment, and long-term sustainability of local businesses
Strategi Promosi Hotel Berbasis TikTok: Penguatan Kompetensi Digital Siswa SMK Negeri 4 Banjarmasin
Kegiatan pengabdian ini berupa pelatihan manajemen media sosial berbasis TikTok bagi 37 siswa Jurusan Perhotelan SMK Negeri 4 Banjarmasin yang terbagi dalam 12 kelompok. Tujuannya adalah meningkatkan kompetensi digital siswa dalam strategi promosi hotel. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui tahapan perencanaan, pelatihan, pendampingan, dan evaluasi, dengan durasi pelaksanaan dua jam. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep digital marketing, keterampilan teknis pembuatan konten, serta kemampuan kolaborasi tim. Seluruh kelompok berhasil menghasilkan konten promosi hotel melalui TikTok, dengan salah satu konten memperoleh jangkauan yang cukup tinggi. Kegiatan ini juga berkontribusi pada tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan, khususnya dengan mendukung pendidikan yang lebih berkualitas dan membuka peluang kerja di bidang pariwisata melalui penguasaan keterampilan digital yang relevan untuk masa depan.
TikTok-Based Hotel Promotion Strategy: Strengthening Digital Competence of SMK Negeri 4 Banjarmasin Students
Abstract
This community service activity was a TikTok-based social media management training for 37 Hospitality students of SMK Negeri 4 Banjarmasin, divided into 12 groups. The purpose was to improve students’ digital competencies in hotel promotion strategies. The program was conducted through planning, training, mentoring, and evaluation stages, with a total duration of two hours. The results showed an increase in students’ understanding of digital marketing concepts, technical skills in content creation, and teamwork abilities. All groups successfully produced hotel promotional content on TikTok, with one video reaching a relatively high audience. This activity also contributes to sustainable development goals by supporting better quality education and creating future job opportunities in the tourism sector through relevant digital skills
Pemberdayaan Masyarakat melalui Budidaya Kambing di Kadibeso Argodadi Sedayu Bantul Yogyakarta
Kambing merupakan salah satu komoditas unggulan di Kabupaten Bantul yang memiliki prospek tinggi. Salah satu kuliner favorit di Kabupaten Bantul yaitu Sate Klatak dan olahan daging kambing lain. Kebutuhan daging kambing di Kabupaten Bantul mencapai 700-800 ekor per hari. Peternak lokal di Kabupaten Bantul baru dapat memenuhi 10% kebutuhan daging kambing, sehingga harus mendatangkan daging kambing dari luar Kabupaten Bantul. Budidaya hewan kambing memiliki potensi yang sangat besar untuk dikembangkan, melihat adanya kesenjangan antara kebutuhan dan penyediaan daging kambing yang sangat besar. Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) melalui budidaya kambing dilaksanakan di Dusun Kadibeso, Argodadi, Sedayu, Bantul dengan mitra kelompok peternak kambing ceria yang tergabung dalam Jamaah Tani Muhammadiyah (JATAM). Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas pengetahuan, keterampilan, serta kemandirian ekonomi peternak melalui penerapan teknologi tepat guna. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan pendampingan dalam berbagai aspek, seperti pemilihan bibit kambing, pembuatan pakan fermentasi berbasis sumber daya lokal, pemeliharaan kesehatan kambing, pengelolaan limbah ternak, manajemen usaha, hingga strategi pemasaran berbasis digital. Kegiatan PkM dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni - November 2025.Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan observasi. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar observasi dan kuesioner. Teknik analisis data secara deskriptif kuantitatif berdasarkan hasil angket dan observasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada aspek pengetahuan budidaya kambing (96,43%), pengetahuan pembuatan pakan fermentasi (96,43%), serta pengelolaan limbah (89,29%). Selain itu, program ini berdampak pada pemberdayaan mitra (92,86%), peningkatan ekonomi (89,29%), dan manfaat langsung bagi kelompok (85,71%). Dari sisi produksi, terjadi peningkatan bobot kambing rata-rata 1,07 kg per ekor dalam kurun 29 hari pemeliharaan. Capaian tersebut menegaskan efektivitas pelatihan dalam memperbaiki penggunaan pakan, sanitasi kandang, pemanfaatan limbah kotoran kambing dan manajemen usaha. Kegiatan PkM budidaya kambing dengan pendekatan integratif pemanfaatan sumber daya lokal sebagai bahan pakan fermentasi dan pelatihan digital marketing jarang diterapkan dalam skema pemberdayaan di wilayah rural di D.I. Yogyakarta. PkM budidaya kambing terbukti mampu mengoptimalkan potensi lokal, mendorong kemandirian kelompok, dan memperkuat ketahanan pangan masyarakat secara berkelanjutan.
Community Empowerment through Goat Farming in Kadibeso Argodadi Sedayu Bantul Yogyakarta
Abstract
Goat farming is one of the main commodities in Bantul Regency that has high prospects. One of the favourite culinary dishes in Bantul Regency is Sate Klatak and other processed goat meat. The demand for goat meat in Bantul Regency reaches 700-800 animals per day. Local farmers in Bantul can only meet 10% of the goat meat needs, so to fulfil the demand, goat meat must be imported from outside Bantul. Goat husbandry has significant potential for development, considering the large gap between the need and supply of goat meat. Community Service Program (PkM) through goat breeding was carried out in Kadibeso village, Argodadi, Sedayu, Bantul, in collaboration with the cheerful goat farming group members affiliated with Jamaah Tani Muhammadiyah (JATAM). This activity aims to increase the knowledge, skills, and economic independence of farmers through the application of appropriate technology. The implementation method includes socialisation, training, and mentoring in various aspects such as selecting goat breeding stock, making fermentation feed based on local resources, maintaining goat health, managing livestock waste, business management, and digital marketing strategies. The PkM activity took place from June to November 2025. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and observations. The instruments used were observation sheets and questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted descriptively with a quantitative approach based on the questionnaire and observation results. The results showed a significant increase in goat breeding knowledge (96.43%), fermentation feed-making knowledge (96.43%), and waste management (89.29%). Moreover, the programme positively impacted partner empowerment (92.86%), economic improvement (89.29%), and direct benefits for the group (85.71%). In terms of production, there was an average weight gain of 1.07 kg per goat over 29 days of maintenance. These achievements affirm the effectiveness of the training in improving feed utilisation, pen sanitation, goat manure waste utilisation, and business management. The goat farming PkM activity with an integrative approach to utilise local resources as fermentation feed material and digital marketing training is rarely implemented in empowerment schemes in rural areas of D.I. Yogyakarta. Sosialisasi Toilet Bersih di Sekolah 3 T: Studi Persepsi Siswa SMA Negeri 5 Tidore Kepulauan
Kebersihan toilet sekolah merupakan aspek penting dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang sehat dan nyaman. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 5 Tidore Kepulauan, yang termasuk wilayah 3T (tertinggal, terdepan, dan terluar), dengan tujuan meningkatkan kesadaran dan persepsi siswa terhadap pentingnya menjaga kebersihan toilet sekolah. Metode yang digunakan adalah sosialisasi edukatif dan pengisian angket skala Likert untuk mengukur tingkat persepsi siswa terhadap aspek pengetahuan, sikap, dan partisipasi dalam menjaga kebersihan toilet. Kegiatan ini merupakan salah satu bentuk awal pendekatan edukasi partisipatif sanitasi berbasis persepsi siswa di daerah 3T, yang menekankan keterlibatan langsung siswa dalam memahami pentingnya sanitasi sekolah. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa persepsi siswa tergolong positif dengan capaian skor 73,3%, terutama pada indikator pemahaman pentingnya toilet bersih dan rasa bangga terhadap program kebersihan. Meskipun demikian, tingkat partisipasi langsung siswa dalam kegiatan kebersihan masih rendah. ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan sosialisasi edukatif efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran siswa, tetapi perlu ditindaklanjuti dengan kegiatan praktik kebersihan yang lebih partisipatif. Kegiatan ini mendorong terbentuknya budaya peduli sanitasi di sekolah 3T dan perlu dilanjutkan melalui program kolaboratif berkelanjutan.
Clean Toilet Socialization in 3T Schools: Student Perception Study of State Senior High School 5 Tidore Islands
Abstract
The cleanliness of school toilets is an essential factor in creating a healthy and comfortable learning environment. This community service activity was conducted at SMA Negeri 5 Tidore Kepulauan, a school located in one of Indonesia’s 3T regions (underdeveloped, frontier, and outermost areas), with the aim of increasing students’ awareness and perceptions of the importance of maintaining toilet hygiene. The activity used an educational socialization approach combined with a Likert-scale questionnaire to measure students’ perceptions in three aspects: knowledge, attitude, and participation in maintaining toilet cleanliness.This program represents an early form of participatory sanitation education based on students’ perceptions in 3T areas, emphasizing the active involvement of students in understanding the importance of school sanitation. The results showed that students’ overall perception was positive, with an average score of 73.3%, particularly in indicators related to understanding the importance of clean toilets and feeling proud of the cleanliness program. However, students’ direct participation in cleaning activities remained relatively low.These findings indicate that educational socialization is effective in improving students’ awareness of sanitation, yet it needs to be followed by more participatory and practical cleaning activities. This activity encourages the development of a sanitation-awareness culture in 3T schools and should be continued through sustainable collaborative programs.Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 5 Tidore Kepulauan, yang terletak di daerah 3T (tertinggal, terdepan, dan terluar), dengan tujuan meningkatkan kesadaran dan persepsi siswa mengenai urgensi menjaga kebersihan toilet sekolah. Permasalahan utama yang diidentifikasi adalah rendahnya tingkat partisipasi siswa dalam pengelolaan sanitasi sekolah serta keterbatasan pemahaman tentang perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat. Kegiatan ini menggunakan pendekatan pendidikan partisipatif, dengan pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner skala Likert lima poin. Instrumen penelitian terdiri atas 15 butir pernyataan yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya, dengan melibatkan 15 siswa sebagai responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa skor persepsi siswa mencapai 73,3% dari skor maksimum, dengan indikator tertinggi berupa kesadaran akan pentingnya toilet bersih dan rasa bangga terhadap program sanitasi. Sebaliknya, indikator partisipasi langsung, seperti keterlibatan dalam kegiatan kebersihan dan pemahaman tentang sistem sanitasi toilet, masih rendah. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan sosialisasi ini efektif dalam membentuk kesadaran dan sikap positif siswa, meskipun diperlukan upaya lebih lanjut untuk meningkatkan partisipasi aktif. Kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif terhadap terciptanya lingkungan belajar yang lebih bersih dan sehat serta mendorong budaya sekolah yang lebih peduli terhadap kebersihan.

Pendampingan Pengelolaan Hutan Lindung pada HKm Lestari 1 Desa Tumbang Nusa Kabupaten Pulang Pisau
Hutan kemasyarakatan (HKm) merupakan hutan yang diberikan hak pengelolaannya kepada kelompok masyarakat unutk dimanfaafkan guna meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat. Keberadaan HKm Lestari 1 di Desa Tumbang Nusa belum dikelola secara optimal karena kurangnya pemahaman anggota terkait pengelolaan dan pemanfaatan HKm secara berkelanjutan, meskipun HKm Lestari 1 telah memiliki izin untuk mengelola hutan secara sah, yang diperoleh dari Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan pada Tahun 2023. Tujuan kegiatan untuk meningkatkan pemahamam peserta terkait keberadaan, fungsi dan manfaat Hutan Kemasyarakatan (HKm) yang dlilakukan pada bulan September 2025 di Desa Tumbang Nusa Kecamatan Jabiren Raya, Kabupaten Pulang Pisau dengan peserta yaitu pengurus dan anggota HKm Lestari 1. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini menggabungkan metode ceramah dan demonstrasi peta sebagai pendekatan edukatif dalam penguatan pemahaman kawasan HKm, yang belum banyak diterapkan sebelumnya di Kalimantan Tengah. Metode ceramah dilakukan dengan cara memaparkan materi terkait HKm untuk menambah wawasan masyarakat dalam pengelolaan HKm, sedangkan demonstrasi peta dilakukan untuk melibatkan masyarakat dalam memetakan area dalam zona produksi yang dapat dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat sesuai dengan kondisi zona tersebut dan untuk menggali lebih detail tentang pengetahuan peserta terhadap keberadaan HKm, zona, fungsi dan manfaatnya. Perubahan pemahaman dan pengetahuan peserta dapat dilihat dari peningkatan jumlah peserta yang mengetahui dan memahami tentang HKm berdasarkan pre-test dan post-test yaitu hanya 16,67% peserta yang mengetahui tentang HKm pada saat awal kegiatan dan meningkat menjadi 100% (semua peserta) pada akhir kegiatan.
An Assistance in Protected Forest Management at HKm Lestari 1, Tumbang Nusa Village, Pulang Pisau Regency
Abstract
Community forests (HKm) are forests whose management rights are granted to community groups to be utilised for the purpose of improving the community's economy. The existence of HKm Lestari 1 in Tumbang Nusa Village has not been optimally managed due to a lack of understanding among members regarding the sustainable management and utilisation of HKm, even though HKm Lestari 1 has obtained a legal permit to manage the forest from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry in 2023. The objective of this activity was to increase participants' understanding of the existence, function and benefits of Community Forests (HKm), which was carried out in September 2025 in Tumbang Nusa Village, Jabiren Raya Sub-district, Pulang Pisau Regency, with participants consisting of the administrators and members of HKm Lestari 1. The method of implementing this activity combines lectures and map demonstrations as an educational approach to strengthening understanding of the HKm area, which has not been widely applied in Central Kalimantan before. The lecture method was carried out by presenting material related to HKm to increase community knowledge in HKm management, while the map demonstration was carried out to involve the community in mapping areas within the production zone that can be utilised by the community in accordance with the conditions of the zone and to explore in more detail the participants' knowledge of the existence of HKm, zones, functions and benefits. Changes in participants' understanding and knowledge can be seen from the increase in the number of participants who know and understand HKm based on pre-tests and post-tests, namely only 16.67% of participants who knew about HKm at the beginning of the activity and increased to 100% (all participants) at the end of the activity
Empowering MSMEs through English Learning Training to Improve Digital Communication Competence
The limited English proficiency of most Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) became the background for this community service program. This activity aims to improve the quality of human resources, particularly in mastering English as a global language as well as digital communication competence, among young MSME entrepreneurs. Jatisela Village, located in Gunungsari District, is a developing area with many MSME players and is close to Senggigi Beach, a well-known tourist destination visited by both domestic and international tourists. Unlike conventional language training, this program combines LSP-based English learning with peer mentoring and digital artifact production to address the specific needs of rural MSMEs. The implementation involved several stages, including surveys, task distribution, execution, and monitoring. The activities included material sharing, practice sessions, and discussions. A pre-test was conducted before the training, and a post-test afterward to measure participants’ progress. Continuous monitoring was carried out by the team. The pre-test results showed that only 30% of the 20 participating MSME entrepreneurs were able to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, with foreign tourists, while 70% were unable to do so.The training employed a diffusion method focused on English conversation for buying and selling offers to improve digital marketing skills. The sessions combined lectures, question-and-answer discussions, hands-on practice, and finally, a post-test and evaluation. The post-test results showed an improvement of 40%, with 70% of participants becoming more confident and capable of communicating in English both orally and in writing, while 30% still required further guidance. The evaluation results indicated that nearly 100% of participants were satisfied with the program
Pendekatan Deep Learning Model Project Based-Learning
The purpose of the Community Service (PkM) activity is to provide socialization on the optimal implementation of the deep learning approach using the project-based learning model in the classroom. Participants in the Community Service with SDN 04 Cimande, Bogor Regency, were 15 educators. Based on a survey with partners, there were several problems faced by partners in the field regarding the socialization of the deep learning approach in the classroom. The problem that occurred for partners was that educators wanted to implement the deep learning approach in the classroom optimally. Through discussions with several educators at SDN 04 Cimande, Bogor Regency, the average educator did not understand the implementation of the deep learning approach using the project-based learning model in the classroom. Based on this information, we from the PkM team of Indraprasta PGRI University will provide training to educators at the school, both theoretically and directly in practice. The PkM activity uses presentation, lecture, discussion, or a combination of these methods. Then, to deepen the material that has been presented, training participants are given the opportunity to ask questions. The success of the PkM activity, educators are given the task of implementing the deep learning approach in the classroom two weeks after the activity. The data collection technique is through Google Forms. The success indicator with the formula of the average score of the mindful learning dimension, the meaningful learning dimension, and the joyful learning dimension is more than or equal to 70%. The results of the PkM: 1) the total average score on the mindful learning dimension is 85%, 2) the total average score on the meaningful learning dimension is 87%, and 3) the total average score on the joyful learning dimension is 100%. The conclusion of the PkM results is that educators at SDN 04 Cimande, Bogor Regency can implement the deep learning approach using the project-based learning model
Pendampingan Optimalisasi Komunitas Belajar untuk Meningkatkan Literasi Digital Guru Sekolah Dasar
Perkembangan teknologi digital menuntut guru memiliki literasi digital yang memadai agar mampu mengintegrasikan teknologi secara efektif dalam pembelajaran. Namun, di wilayah 3T seperti Kabupaten Bengkayang, kompetensi digital guru masih rendah akibat keterbatasan sarana dan pendampingan. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan mengoptimalkan peran Komunitas Belajar Gema Ceria di SDN 03 Bengkayang sebagai wadah kolaboratif untuk meningkatkan literasi digital guru sekolah dasar. Program dirancang menggunakan model Goal–Reality–Options–Will (GROW) yang melibatkan 20 guru, terdiri atas 14 guru kelas dan 6 guru mata pelajaran. Pendampingan meliputi pelatihan literasi digital berbasis kebutuhan, penggunaan aplikasi pembelajaran inovatif, dan pembuatan media Augmented Reality (AR) berbasis Assemblr EDU. Evaluasi dilakukan secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan peningkatan skor rata-rata literasi digital guru dari 2,8 menjadi 4,3, dengan peningkatan tertinggi pada aspek integrasi teknologi dalam pembelajaran. Guru berhasil menghasilkan empat produk media AR bertema Sistem Tata Surya, Struktur Tumbuhan, Bangun Ruang Sederhana, dan Sejarah, yang diuji coba secara terbatas di kelas. Selain itu, frekuensi pertemuan komunitas belajar meningkat dari satu kali menjadi tiga kali per bulan, menandakan tumbuhnya budaya kolaboratif dan reflektif. Dengan demikian, model pendampingan GROW terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi literasi digital guru serta memperkuat ekosistem pembelajaran digital yang adaptif, kolaboratif, dan berkelanjutan di sekolah dasar wilayah perbatasan.
Optimizing Learning Communities through Mentoring to Improve Elementary School Teachers’ Digital Literacy
Abstract
The development of digital technology demands that teachers possess adequate digital literacy to effectively integrate technology into the learning process. However, in remote and underdeveloped regions such as Bengkayang Regency, teachers’ digital competence remains low due to limited facilities and lack of mentoring. This Community Service Program aims to optimize the role of the Gema Ceria Learning Community at SDN 03 Bengkayang as a collaborative platform to enhance the digital literacy of elementary school teachers. The program was designed using the Goal–Reality–Options–Will (GROW) model and involved 20 teachers, consisting of 14 classroom teachers and 6 subject teachers. The mentoring activities included needs-based digital literacy training, the use of innovative learning applications, and the development of Augmented Reality (AR) media using Assemblr EDU. Evaluation was conducted both quantitatively and qualitatively. The pre-test and post-test results showed an increase in the teachers’ average digital literacy score from 2.8 to 4.3, with the highest improvement in the aspect of technology integration in learning. Teachers successfully created four AR media products on the themes of the Solar System, Plant Structure, Simple Geometry, and History, which were tested in classroom settings. In addition, the frequency of learning community meetings increased from once to three times per month, indicating the growth of a collaborative and reflective culture. Thus, the GROW mentoring model proved effective in improving teachers’ digital literacy competence and strengthening an adaptive, collaborative, and sustainable digital learning ecosystem in elementary schools located in border areas
