Violation of Cooperative Principles and Its Connection to Logical Fallacies: Critical Discourse Analysis on the Third Debate of Indonesian President 2024
This research examines the violation of Grice’s Cooperative Principles and its connection to Logical Fallacies in the Third Debate of the 2024 Indonesian Presidential Election through a qualitative descriptive method framed within Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA). Using the Miles and Huberman model which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing the study analyzed debate transcripts and video recordings to identify linguistic patterns of manipulation. The findings revealed 13 maxim violations (7 relevance, 4 quantity, 2 quality) and 39 logical fallacies, with straw man, red herring, and appeal to emotion as the most dominant. These violations were not random but deliberate rhetorical strategies used to deflect criticism, obscure weak arguments, and appeal emotionally to voters. The originality of this research lies in its integration of Grice’s Cooperative Principles and logical fallacy theory within the CDA framework, offering a more holistic linguistic approach to understanding persuasion in political discourse. Unlike previous studies that treated maxim violations and fallacies separately, this study explicitly links the two, showing how pragmatic violations produce fallacious reasoning that shapes ideological narratives. Theoretically, it enriches sociolinguistic and CDA perspectives by explaining how language functions as an instrument of power and persuasion, while practically it provides insights for election organizers to improve debate moderation, for journalists to conduct more critical reporting, and for educators to enhance media literacy and critical thinking
Hubungan Regulasi Emosi dengan Penyesuaian Sosial Siswa Korban Bullying
Bullying merupakan perilaku agresif seseorang atau sekelompok orang secara berulang kali dengan tujuan untuk menyakiti korbannya. Siswa yang sering menjadi korban bullying cenderung kurang dalam penyesuaian sosial. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi penyesuaian sosial siswa yaitu regulasi emosi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan regulasi emosi dan penyesuain sosial serta menguji hubungan regulasi emosi dengan penyesuaian sosial siswa korban bullying. Responden pada penelitian ini yaitu siswa korban bullying di SMPN 3 Batang Anai yang berjumlah 98 siswa dengan 32 siswa kelas VIII dan 66 siswa kelas IX. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif korelasional. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa kuesioner regulasi emosi dan kuesioner penyesuaian sosial menggunakan skala likert. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik total sampling dan analisis data menggunakan metode deskriptif dan analisis korelasi pearson product moment, dengan bantuan SPSS 20 for windows. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa regulasi emosi siswa berada pada kategori tinggi dengan persentase 66,11%, penyesuaian sosial siswa berada pada kategori tinggi dengan persentase 69,55%, dan terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara regulasi emosi dengan penyesuaian sosial siswa korban bullying (r= 0,411; p<0,05), di mana semakin tinggi regulasi emosi maka semakin tinggi pula penyesuaian sosial. Implikasi penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi sekolah bersama guru Bimbingan dan Konseling serta lembaga pendidikan dalam merancang program layanan, khususnya layanan informasi, konseling individual, bimbingan kelompok dan konseling kelompok dan intervensi untuk meningkatkan regulasi emosi dan penyesuaian sosial siswa korban bullying
The Effectiveness of the Mind Mapping Technique in Improving Students' Ability to Organize Ideas in Writing Descriptive Texts
This study investigates the effectiveness of the Mind Mapping technique in improving junior high school students’ ability to organize ideas when writing descriptive texts at one of the public Islamic schools in West Lombok. A quasi-experimental design was used, consisting of two groups of seventh-grade students: an experimental group that received instruction through Mind Mapping and a control group that was taught using conventional methods. Before the treatment, students’ initial writing ability was relatively low, as indicated by the pre-test mean score of 60.25, showing limited skills in organizing ideas clearly and coherently. Mind Mapping, defined in this study as a visual technique that helps students generate, connect, and structure ideas through branching diagrams starting from a central concept, was applied over three instructional sessions using the Right Column Mind Map. Data were obtained from pre-test and post-test activities involving writing tasks describing a person and analyzed using an independent samples t-test in SPSS 31, including normality and homogeneity tests, to determine the significance of differences between the two groups. The findings indicated that the experimental group experienced a notable improvement, with their mean score increasing from 60.25 on the pre-test to 79.42 on the post-test—an overall gain of 19.17 points. Meanwhile, the control group’s improvement was limited to 10.41 points. The independent samples t-test showed that this difference was statistically significant (p = .001 < .05). A further analysis revealed that Mind Mapping improved three aspects of idea organization: unity (maintaining focus on the central idea), completeness (expanding relevant supporting details), and coherence (ensuring logical sequencing and smooth transitions between ideas). Thus, the null hypothesis (H?), which stated that Mind Mapping does not significantly enhance students’ ability to organize ideas, was rejected. In contrast, the alternative hypothesis (H?) was accepted. These findings imply that teachers can adopt Mind Mapping as an effective pre-writing strategy to help students plan and organize ideas more systematically, thereby supporting the objectives of the Merdeka Curriculum in fostering creativity, critical thinking, and structured writing
The Effect Of Using Quizlet Application In Learning English Vocabulary: An Experimental Study At Vii Grade Students of SMPN 3 Praya Tengah
This quasi-experimental research examined the impact of the Quizlet application on students’ English vocabulary mastery at SMPN 3 Praya Tengah, a rural junior high school located in Central Lombok, Indonesia. The study was conducted in response to students’ limited vocabulary knowledge and the insufficient use of interactive digital learning tools. Thirty seventh-grade students participated and were assigned to experimental and control groups. A 30-item vocabulary test focusing on the topic “Personality and Skills” was administered as both pre-test and post-test. The experimental group underwent five instructional sessions utilizing Quizlet’s interactive modes Flashcards, Learn, Match, and Test while the control group received conventional instruction. The test instrument was validated by expert reviewers, and its reliability coefficient, measured through Cronbach’s Alpha, was 0.87, indicating high internal consistency. Data were processed using SPSS 26, including tests of normality, homogeneity, and an independent samples t-test. Statistical analysis revealed a significant difference between the two groups (t(28) = 3.57, p = 0.002, d = 0.80), resulting in the rejection of the null hypothesis (H?) and acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (H?). These findings demonstrate that Quizlet effectively enhances students’ vocabulary mastery, learning motivation, and autonomy. The results also align with retrieval practice and gamification theories, confirming that Quizlet can serve as an effective digital medium for improving vocabulary acquisition, especially in rural educational settings with limited access to technology This suggests Quizlet can be integrated into junior high school curricula to promote autonomous vocabulary acquisition
Pengembangan Media Kincir Angka (Wheel Spinner) Bermuatan Soal Cerita Berbasis Kearifan Lokal Sasak Bagi Peserta Didik Kelas III SDN Manggong
Permasalahan yang terjadi di kelas III SDN Manggong adalah guru jarang menggunakan media pembelajaran, khususnya media pembelajaran pada pembelajaran Matematika materi kalimat matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Untuk mengetahui langkah-langkah pengembangan media kincir angka (Wheel Spinner) bermuatan soal cerita berbasis kearifan lokal sasak, (2) mengetahui validasi media kincir angka (Wheel Spinner) bermuatan soal cerita berbasis kearifan lokal sasak, (3) Untuk mengetahui kepraktisan media pembalajaran kincir angka (Wheel Spinner) bermuatan soal cerita berbasis kearifan lokal sasak pada siswa kelas III SDN Manggong. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu Research and Development (R&D) menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE dengan 5 tahapan yaitu analysis, design, development, dan implementation. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket validasi ahli media, angket validasi ahli materi, angket respon guru dan angket respon siswa. Analisis data menggunakan analisis data kualitatif dan analisis data kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian dan pengemabangan ini adalah media pembelajaran kincir angka dalam pembelajaran kalimat matematika pada siswa kelas III. Berdasarkan penilaian dari validator ahli media mendapatkan kriteria sangat valid dengan persentase 87,7% dan ahli materi mendapatkan kriteria sangat valid dengan persentase 90,9%. Hasil uji coba kepraktisan kelompok kecil berdasarkan respon guru mendapatkan kepraktisan sebesar dengan kriteria sangat praktis dengan persentase 98% sedangkan berdasarkan respon siswa mendapatkan kepraktisan dengan kriteria sangat praktis dengan persentase 98,4%. Oleh karena itu media pembelajaran kincir angka (wheel spinner) berbasis soal cerita bermuatan kearifan lokal sasak dapat digunakan untuk siswa SD kelas III pada mata pelajaran Matematika materi kalimat matematika.

Case Marking System and Language Creativity of Bima Language on Social Media TikTok: Sistem Penandaan Kasus dan Kreativitas Bahasa dalam Bahasa Bima di Media Sosial TikTok
This study examines the case marking system and linguistic creativity of the Bima language as used on TikTok, focusing on how grammatical variation and creative expression shape linguistic identity in digital spaces. The research employs a mixed-methods approach combining qualitative descriptive analysis and limited quantitative categorization to explore the frequency and form of case-marking patterns. The significance of this study lies in its contribution to understanding how regional languages adapt to new communicative environments while preserving their grammatical essence and sociocultural relevance in the digital era. The findings reveal that the Bima language on TikTok predominantly maintains a nominative–accusative alignment, though occasional ergative-like patterns appear in informal or elliptical utterances. Linguistic creativity manifests through processes such as code-mixing, word simplification, and stylistic innovation, illustrating how speakers negotiate identity and solidarity through digital discourse. These results imply that digital platforms like TikTok can function not only as spaces of linguistic experimentation but also as instruments for regional language revitalization and intergenerational transmission. Nevertheless, this study is limited by its scope, which focuses exclusively on a small sample of Bima TikTok users and does not include data from other platforms or face-to-face interactions. Future research should expand the dataset and incorporate sociolinguistic variables such as gender, education, and network size to capture a more comprehensive picture of language dynamics in online contexts
Pengembangan Kerangka Pedagogis untuk Berlatih dalam Bidang Pendidikan Jasmani: Perspektif Teoritis Bildung dalam Pembelajaran Gerak
Pendidikan jasmani memiliki peran strategis dalam membentuk manusia seutuhnya—tidak hanya melalui peningkatan kemampuan fisik, tetapi juga melalui penanaman nilai, karakter, dan kesadaran diri. Penelitian ini dilandasi oleh pemikiran Bildung, sebuah konsep pendidikan dari tradisi filsafat Jerman yang menekankan proses pembentukan diri melalui pengalaman reflektif dan interaksi sosial yang bermakna. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah merancang kerangka pedagogis yang dapat menuntun pembelajaran gerak agar lebih bernilai humanistik dan transformatif. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui studi literatur, observasi, dan wawancara mendalam dengan guru serta siswa pendidikan jasmani di beberapa sekolah. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa praktik pendidikan jasmani masih berpusat pada aspek teknis dan performatif, sementara sisi reflektif dan moral belum sepenuhnya terintegrasi. Melalui analisis tematik, ditemukan empat pilar utama pembelajaran berbasis Bildung: refleksi diri sebagai inti proses belajar, penguatan relasi sosial dan empati, penghayatan nilai moral melalui pengalaman gerak, serta pergeseran peran guru dari instruktur menjadi fasilitator pengembangan diri. Rancangan kerangka pedagogis yang dihasilkan diharapkan mampu mengubah pendidikan jasmani menjadi ruang pembelajaran yang tidak hanya menyehatkan tubuh, tetapi juga menumbuhkan kesadaran dan karakter kemanusiaan peserta didik.
Physical education serves as a vital medium for holistic human development—not merely through physical competence but also through the cultivation of moral values, character, and self-awareness. This study draws upon the theoretical foundation of Bildung, a philosophical concept from the German educational tradition emphasizing self-formation through reflective experience and meaningful social interaction. The research aims to design a pedagogical framework that guides movement learning toward a more humanistic and transformative practice. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through literature reviews, classroom observations, and in-depth interviews with physical education teachers and students from selected schools. The findings indicate that current physical education practices remain predominantly technical and performance-oriented, with limited engagement in reflective and moral dimensions. Thematic analysis revealed four central pillars of Bildung-based pedagogy: reflective learning as the heart of education, the cultivation of empathy and social relations, moral internalization through embodied experience, and the transformation of teachers’ roles from instructors to facilitators of personal growth. The proposed pedagogical framework aspires to reposition physical education as a reflective and human-centered practice—one that not only strengthens the body but also shapes awareness, empathy, and moral character
Analysis of Students' Argumentation Skills related Hydrostatic Pressure
Keterampilan argumentasi adalah salah satu keterampilan yang dibutuhkan untuk menstimulus keterampilan berpikir kritis dalam menghadapi tantangan di abad 21. Oleh karena itu, keterampilan argumentasi mahasiswa perlu dianalisis untuk mengethaui sejau mana keterampilan argumentasi mahasiswa dan apa penyebabnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kualitas keterampilan berargumen mahasiswa pada topik tekanan hidrostatik. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain survei cross-sectional dengan metode survei atau tes satu kali. Penelitian ini melibatkan 45 mahasiswa dari sebuah universitas negeri di Sulawesi Selatan yang telah menerima pengajaran materi tekanan hidrostatik. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan teknik sampling acak dengan instrumen tes berbasis esai. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kualitas keterampilan berargumen mahasiswa masih berada pada level 1 dan level 2. Persentase mahasiswa yang memiliki keterampilan berargumen pada level 1 adalah 26,66% dan pada level 2 adalah 73,33%, sementara persentase mahasiswa yang memiliki keterampilan berargumen pada level 4, level 5, dan level 6 adalah 0%. Secara keseluruhan, keterampilan berargumen mahasiswa di salah satu universitas negeri di Sulawesi Selatan masih dianggap rendah. Oleh karena itu, perlu direncanakan dan diterapkan suatu pembelajaran yang dapat melatihkan keterampilab argumentasi mahasiswa.
Argumentation skills are one of the skills needed to stimulate critical thinking skills in facing challenges in the 21st century. Therefore, students' argumentation skills need to be analyzed to find out the extent of students' argumentation skills and what causes them. This study aims to analyze the quality of students' argumentation skills on the topic of hydrostatic pressure. The research adopts a cross-sectional survey design using a one-shot survey or test. The study involved 45 students from a public university in South Sulawesi who had received instruction on hydrostatic pressure material. Data collection was conducted using a random sampling technique with an essay-based test instrument. The data analysis technique used in this study is descriptive analysis. The results indicate that the quality of students' argumentation skills remains at level 1 and level 2. The percentage of students who have argumentation skills at level 1 is 26.66% and argumentation skills at level 2 is 73.33% while the percentage of students who have argumentation skills at level 4, level 5, and level 5 is 0%. Overall, students' argumentative skills at a state university in South Sulawesi are still considered low. Therefore, it is necessary to plan and implement learning that can train students' argumentative skills
Analisis Kinerja Lalu Lintas pada Jalinan Tunggal U-Turn Jalan Krakatau dan Jalan Yos Sudarso, Palangka Raya
Peningkatan mobilitas penduduk di Kota Palangka Raya berdampak pada peningkatan volume lalu lintas , yang menimbulkan potensi permasalahan transportasi pada titik-titik simpul seperti bagian jalinan (weaving). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kinerja lalu lintas pada bagian jalinan tunggal di area U-Turn persimpangan Jalan Krakatau dan Jalan Yos Sudarso. Analisis kinerja dilakukan menggunakan metode Pedoman Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia (PKJI) 2023. Pengumpulan data primer meliputi survei volume lalu lintas selama lima hari kerja (senin-Jumat) pada tiga periode (pagi, siang, sore) dan pengukuran data geometrik jalan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa jam puncak tertinggi terjadi pada periode siang hari (pukul 11.00 – 12.00) dengan total volume arus lalu lintas (qTotal) sebesar 1731 smp/jam (Satuan Mobil Penumpang/Jam). Bagian jalinan tersebut terhitung memiliki kapasitas (C) sebesar 2372 smp/jam. Dari hasil tersebut, diperoleh nilai Derajat Kejenuhan (DJ) pada kondisi puncak sebesar 0,73. Kinerja lalu lintas ini didukung oleh kecepatan tempuh rata-rata (VT) 26,61 km/Jam dan waktu tempuh rata-rata (WT) 8,79 detik. Nilai DJ 0,73 masuk dalam kategori Level of Service (LOS) C, yang menunjukkan bahwa kondisi arus lalu lintas pada bagian jalinan tersebut masih sangat lancar dan jauh dari kondisi jenuh atau macet.
The increase in population mobility in Palangka Raya City has an impact on increasing traffic volume, which causes potential transportation problems at node points such as weaving. This study aims to analyze traffic performance on the single braided section in the U-Turn area of the intersection of Jalan Krakatau and Jalan Yos Sudarso. Performance analysis was carried out using the 2023 Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI) method. Primary data collection included a survey of traffic volume for five working days (Monday-Friday) in three periods (morning, noon, evening) and measurement of road geometric data. The results of the analysis showed that the highest peak hours occurred during the daytime period (11.00 – 12.00) with a total traffic flow volume (qTotal) of 1731 pcu/Hour (Passanger Car Unit/Hour). The part of the braiding is calculated to have a capacity (C) of 2372 pcu/hour. From these results, the Degree of Saturation (DJ) value at peak conditions was 0.73. This traffic performance is supported by an average travel speed (VT) of 26.61 km/h and an average travel time (WT) of 8.79 seconds. The DJ value of 0.73 is included in the Level of Service (LOS) C category, which shows that the traffic flow condition on the interlock is still very smooth and far from saturated or congested conditions.
Pengembangan Website Jelajahsains.com sebagai Media Pembelajaran dan Informasi Interaktif untuk Pelatihan Guru MGMP IPA Kabupaten Maros
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keterbatasan guru MGMP IPA Kabupaten Maros dalam mengakses pelatihan digital yang berkelanjutan serta rendahnya kemampuan dalam mengembangkan media interaktif. Pelatihan yang tersedia selama ini cenderung bersifat singkat sehingga tidak mampu mendampingi guru dalam menghasilkan produk micromodul yang berkualitas. Untuk menjawab masalah tersebut, dikembangkan website Jelajahsains.com sebagai media pembelajaran dan pusat informasi interaktif yang menyediakan materi pelatihan, tutorial, forum diskusi, serta contoh micromodul. Keunggulan utama platform ini adalah integrasi LMS Odoo yang memungkinkan pembelajaran mandiri, kolaborasi, dan publikasi karya guru dalam satu ekosistem digital. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan R&D dengan model ADDIE. Validasi ahli media memperoleh skor rata-rata 4,44 (88,82%) dan ahli materi 4,50 (90%), keduanya dalam kategori sangat layak. Uji coba terbatas dengan 15 guru menunjukkan respons sangat positif (skor 4,55 atau 91,6%). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa Jelajahsains.com tidak hanya layak digunakan, tetapi juga berpotensi meningkatkan kompetensi digital guru serta mendukung proses pelatihan micromodul secara berkelanjutan
