However, the article concludes by stressing that forming a consortium offers a bridge of technical competencies, geographical coverage and partnerships that have the potential to implement resilience building among the participating libraries. Hence, e-consortium by academic libraries could be affirmed to be the best strategy to be utilized for expanding user access to e-journals in academic library environments
Publishing, Copyright and Ethical Practices as Influencing Factors on the Research Productivity of Academic Librarians in a Changing Society; a Case Study of Two Universities in Niger State, Nigeria.
The article investigated publishing, copyright and ethical practices as influencing factors on the research productivity of academic librarians in a changing society. A changing society can aptly be described as the pandemic ravaged epoch; the information revolution age; the age of digital revolution and age that unveils new things in succession. The connecting nexus among publishing, copyright, ethical practices and research productivity of academic librarians was identified. Federal University of Technology, Minna and Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai were selected for the study. Total enumeration was used to capture all the academic librarians in the two universities. Twenty-seven (27) and Sixteen (16) academic librarians from Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai respectively. Two (2) research questions were asked and answered which included: 1. To what extent do copyright influence the research productivity of academic librarians in the selected universities? 2. To what level do ethical practices influence the research productivity of academic librarians in the selected universities? The research design used for the study is descriptive survey of correlational nature. Findings from the study showed that copyright coupled with ethical use of copyrighted works influenced the research productivity of academic librarians. It was concluded that adequate enforcement and practice of copyright vis-à-vis ethical use of published work influenced the research productivity of academic librarians to a very high degree. Based on the findings from the study, it was recommended that: copyrighted works should be fully protected; ethical practices must be imbibed while using copyrighted published work so as to boost the morale of academic librarians with hope of willingness to publish more in the future
Digital Transformation and Service Delivery in Academic Libraries: a Post Covid-19 Approach
In the library environment, digital transformation has revolutionised in-house routine and service delivery such that users can access adequate and current information promptly and remotely. This paper examined the digital readiness of academic libraries in Nigeria in relation to adoption of the major variables considered in the study as indices of digital transformation applicable to deploying library services. These are: kiosk technology; QR code technology; mobile technology; artificial intelligence and Radio Frequency Identification. Also, identifying library services that are being deployed using the listed digital technologies; assessing how digital transformation has impacted positively on library patronage and examining the challenges faced in adopting digital transformation were part of the objectives of the study. The study population was academic libraries in Nigeria and sample was drawn purposively from 18 universities in South-West Nigeria. Findings revealed that digital transformation is yet to be fully embraced in Nigerian university libraries. Also, there is no significant change in the use of digital technologies in the deployment of library services in Nigerian academic libraries pre and post Covid-19 era. Though the study established that digital transformation has impacted library patronage greatly and positively, the greatest challenges facing digital transformation is paucity of funds and lack of infrastructure. The study recommends that organisational policy that supports the adoption of digital technologies in libraries must be put in place. Also, since the annual subvention allocated to libraries is barely enough, library managers should adopt public private partnership to assist in meeting some of their financial obligations

The paper investigated the effectiveness of information sharing among FMCs (Federal Medical Centers) in North West. This study adopted quantitative research method using interview. The population of the study consists of all the record officers in Federal Medical Centers in North West zone of Nigeria. Data were collected from the record officers of the four (4) Federal Medical Centers that are situated in the North West zone of Nigeria (FMC Birnin Kudu in Jigawa State, FMC Gusau in Zamfara State, FMC Kebbi in Kebbi State and FMC Katsina in Katsina State. The study shows that the Record Officers of these FMCs engage in information sharing practices. It further reveals that CD-ROM and Email are not often use to share information. Television and social networking site are to some extent also available and used to share information among record officers. The result also clearly indicates that there is no policy governing the information sharing among FMCs, there is also problem of staff, budget system and power failure. The study recommends that Government should provide policy/guideline for information sharing among the FMCs

Descriptive Study of Information Literacy Skills and Utilization of Electronic Information Resources by Undergraduate Computer Science Students in Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State, Nigeria
The study explored information literacy skills and utilization of electronic information resources by undergraduate Computer Science students in Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State, Nigeria. The study adopted descriptive research design, with a population of 398 students comprising 300 and 400 levels students. A sample of 199 students representing 50% of the study population was selected using proportionate stratified sampling technique. A researchers’ structured questionnaire, validated with a reliability coefficient index of 0.81 was used for data collection. The data were analysed using descriptive statistical tools of frequency counts, mean scores and standard deviations.
