The first Bulgarian textbooks on music and collections of children‘s and school songs are presented, used in the conditions of the intensely developing Bulgarian education and musical culture at that time. Get PDFSinging, resp. verbal communication, is performed through one instrument – our voice. Messages and emotions are entirely personal and relate to the personality of the performer (the emitter of the message), which requires a variety and uniqueness of models and layouts for creating vocal and verbal specimens. As such, this report focuses on some aspects and issues arising from my work with students in pop and jazz singing. The first and main problem is related to the level of expectations and potentialities of the young performers. The professor should identify the most effective and efficient methodological principles for each specific case. The evolution of pop and jazz music is extremely dynamic, quick, the variety of styles and forms is immense. Therefore, the vocal pedagogue should systematize the most popular and dominant types of vocal and performing techniques in the particular music environment, some of which are outlined in this report. The teacher should determine the level of technical and theoretical preparation that each pupil has. The main problem is to define properly the individual vocal abilities and provide the correct orientation for the student to a suitable style, repertoire and realization as a vocal performer

Get PDFThe main objective of this paper is to present the fieldwork results ofarchaeological and geological investigations in the area of Hadjiyska river and the southern slopesof Eminska Stara Planina in Bulgaria. The area of interest is home to a large number ofarcheological findings dating back from the Late Antiquity (4-6th c.) and the Middle Ages (7-18thc.), and fewer from older periods (prehistorical, Thracian and Roman periods). Geologicalobservations show presence of alluvial, prolluvial-delluvial, and prolluvial hollocen sediments.Combining the results of archaeological and geological research allowed for (i) the verification ofthe hypothesis that older archaeological objects are covered by accumulated sediments, and (ii) anattempt to look into the livelihood in the area
Antibacterial Effect of Disinfectants and Antiseptics
Get PDFDisinfectants and antiseptics are substances or solvents which play a key role inthe control of infections. Their wide functionality is applied in almost all human activities. Theseagents can have antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal effects. Disinfectants are synthetic agents thebiocidal effect of which destroys microorganisms in the environment, while antiseptics are appliedlocally, primarily on skin and/or mucosae. The morphological differences between Gram (+) andGram (–) bacteria raise questions regarding the biocidal effects of antibacterial agents againstdifferent types of infectious agents. The aim of our study is to evaluate the biocidal effect ofdisinfectants and antiseptics available on the market. The study uses a reference strain ofEscherichia coli and a laboratory isolate of Staphylococcus aureus. The analysis was conductedusing the agar well diffusion method. Results show that sodium hypochlorite, hydrogen peroxideH2O2 and mouthwashing water demonstrate strong bactericidal effect on both Gram (+) and Gram(–) bacteria. The bath cleaner gel, which is considered effective against Escherichia coli,demonstrated effectiveness against Staphylococcus aureus instead. The dishwashing gel,ethacridine lactate, silver water and lavandula water show intermediate or zero effect againstEscherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus
A Critical Analysis of the Case-Law of the Bulgarian Constitutional Court Concerning Legislative Retroactivity
Get PDFThis study focuses on the concept of retroactive application of the new law within the meaning of established case-law of the Bulgarian Constitutional Court (the Court). It is emphasized upon the circumstance that the Bulgarian Constitution does not contain a general prohibition on attributing a retroactive effect of the law, in the absence of an explicit legislative guidance to the contrary (e. g. sec. 5, para 3 of the Constitution). The Court finds that the principle stating that laws should have prospective effect should be derived from the rule of law as a constitutional principle (art. 4, para 1 of the Constitution). The present study examines the cases in which the Court finds that the prohibition of the retroactive effect of the law is applicable in cases of retroactivity ‘stricto sensu’, where the trust in the stability of the legal system, legal certainty and acquired substantive rights are violated. According to the recent Court’s case-law the retroactive effect of the law is incompatible with the rule of law under specific conditions. The Court has adopted the view that according to the principle of protection of legitimate expectations, related to legal certainty, legislative changes that are sudden, unexpected and disproportionate to constitutional standards must not be allowed
The Unified Patent System – Expectation and Prospects for a United Europe
Get PDFThe present study brings to the reader’s attention an extremely important fact for the European patent system – the beginning of the work of the Unified Patent Court. On January 19, 2022, the Protocol for the Preliminary Implementation of the Agreement on the Unified Patent Court entered into force, and it is expected to start functioning by the end of 2022 and the beginning of the following year. The article examines in historical order the creation and development of the European patent system, as well as the adopted legal acts outlining the new patent system of the European Union. The structure, competence and way of functioning of the Unified Patent Court have been clarified. Emphasis is placed on the advantages resulting from the introduction of the unified patent system, and above all on the role of the Unified Patent Court in unifying judicial practice in various patent disputes. The aim is to establish greater legal certainty in protecting the rights of patent holders. The opportunities and some of the problems that arise for Bulgarian enterprises since the introduction of the new patent system are indicated

The strength and direction of their impact to a certain extent depends on the specifi cs of the subject of activity and the target orientation of the enterprises. It is this impact that brings elements of uncertainty and instability to business development. In the last few decades, comprehensive methodologies and principles have been developed for the implementation of innovation in governance aimed at standardising good and effective practices so that they can be quickly and easily applied to different types of Organizations. In this publication, an attempt is made to justify the construction of an innovation accelerator leading to increased business growth
