Special events and attractions in cultural tourism: Successful practices and new trends
Investment and changing attitudes towards cultural tourism which has grown increasingly high in demand among the various types of special interest tourism make of it a popular choice among Bulgarian and international tourists. In the era of social networks, the possibility for on-line exchange of comments and opinions has changed forever the way cultural tourism is managed and communicated. This type of special interest tourism requires a particular attention to special events, attractions, and modern animation. This paper deals with how our country’s chances as a promising cultural tourism destination can be enhanced at the background of the new trends in event management. It analyzes some good practices related to notorious special events and attractions and making many successful destinations recognizable

Gastromaniac. How (food) influencers create trust
In the first part of the paper, I shall offer a brief overview of a hypothesis developed in another publication, which explores the relationship between the primordial feeling of trust that each person’s face elicits to varying degrees and how this represents a type of capital for influencers. In the second part of the paper, I shall develop this model using theoretical know-how from the field of brand management, where a beneficial link between the influencer communication model and that of legendary brands emerges. Thus, for an influencer to build invaluable trust capital with his/her followers in the first place, he/she must start from the position of some passion or sacred beliefs which give authenticity to the core expertise underlying the influence being exerted. In this model, the communicative performance of the influencer and the quality of his/her narrative take centre stage. Credibility depends on the synchrony between these elements and the extent to which the constructed public influencer’s character is true to itself in its various manifestations. An explicitly or implicitly defined lifestyle is always present in the system. It provides concreteness and makes it easier for followers to compare and imitate
Collocational Knowledge Uptake by University Students under Online Learning
The article discusses an experiment that looked into the acquisition of collocational knowledge in three university groups studying online, each subjected to different learning conditions: incidental acquisition, intentional acquisition, and intentional acquisition with an extra productive output (essay), the latter having been assessed for the amount and accuracy of target lexis usage in their texts. The aim of the study was to see how well upper-intermediate university students could identify collocations in an input text, and how the text-based output affected the collocational uptake outcomes. The study showed that the productive output group outperformed the other intentional learning group, while incidental acquisition group failed to complete a productive knowledge posttest. Although the study revealed only slightly higher gains in the output group, their results appeared more consistent than those demonstrated by the other intentional uptake group, whose retention rate decreased by the time of delayed posttest
