Integrated Approaches to Flood Mitigation in the Context of Climate Change
Floods, as one of the most common natural disasters, are becoming more frequent and intense in modern times, primarily due to the consequences of climate change. Increasing average temperatures, changing precipitation patterns, and extreme weather events are contributing to the increased risk of flooding around the world. Emergency situations caused by such disasters endanger human lives, cause great material losses and leave permanent consequences for the environment. Since disasters do not know administrative boundaries and can cause regional instability, it is necessary to respond to them systematically and comprehensively. This paper discusses preventive and operational measures to mitigate the consequences of floods. Special emphasis is placed on the importance of integrated risk management, improvement of crisis response capacities, as well as education and involvement of the local community in planning processes. The aim of the paper is to point out the necessity of a timely, coordinated and multi-sectoral approach in the fight against floods, especially in the context of global climate changes that are increasingly putting human security and sustainable development in front of new challenges.Urednici zbornika : prof. dr Andrea Andrejević Panić, prof. dr Jelena Ješić, prof. dr Simonida Vukadinović i doc. dr Zoran Brlja
PGA Estimates for Vertical Ground Motion and Varying Deep Geology Site Surroundings - A Case Study of Banja Luka
Vertical PGA is frequently included in civil engineering regulations simply by multiplying the horizontal PGA by a constant. Moreover, most design codes, including Eurocode 8, do not consider the impact of the local soil on vertical ground motion at all. In this study, we demonstrate that such practices increase earthquake risks. The article examines vertical PGA strong-motion estimations for the city of Banja Luka. Banja Luka serves as a case study for areas with records of moderate to strong earthquakes and diverse deep geological conditions. Regional equations for scaling vertical PGA are presented. The vertical PGA values and vertical to horizontal PGA ratios are calculated and analyzed. The findings indicate that the vertical to horizontal PGA ratios for the rock sites depend on the source-to-site distance and deep geology and fall between 0.30 and 0.66. Hence, these ratios cannot be approximated by a single value of 0.90 and 0.45, as specified by Eurocode 8 for Type 1 and Type 2 spectra, respectively. Moreover, the results show that the deep geology effects on vertical ground motion can exceed the local soil effects. When the amount of recorded data from comparable areas increases, we will be able to properly calibrate the existing scaling equations and obtain more reliable estimates of vertical PGA
Fizički pokazatelji kvaliteta zrna strnih žita gajenih u sistemu konverzije
Među osnovnim fizičkim pokazateljima kvaliteta zrna strnih žita,
izdvajaju se masa 1000 zrna i hektolitarska masa. Masa 1000 zrna ukazuje
Masa 1000 zrna i hektolitarska masa
jesu stabilne sortne osobine, ali se njihova vrednost u velikoj meri oblikuje
kroz uslove spoljašnje sredine i tehnologiju gajenja. Optimalne doze i
raspored primene đubriva, naročito azota, obezbeđuju bolju ishranjenost
biljke, produženo nalivanje zrna, čime se postiže veća masa 1000 zrna i
povoljna hektolitarska masa. U konceptu održive poljoprivrede, pak,
upotreba mineralnih đubriva je jedna od kritičnih tačaka i mera koja, u cilju
zadovoljenja kriterijuma savremene, ekološki i ekonomski održive,
poljoprivrede zahteva značajne izmene i optimizaciju.

Application of the AHP method in the selection of shelter locations in extreme situations : case study of the city of Novi Sad
Historically speaking, the need to protect the population, especially from the dangers of war, encouraged the construction and development of various types of protective facilities. Over time, these facilities have adapted to the development of weapons, technological progress and economic opportunities of societies, reflecting their constant aspiration to improve security. Today, in the modern urban environment, the selection of shelter locations is an extremely complex and responsible task that requires the coordination of several professional areas, such as urban planning, logistics and crisis management, with the aim of effective planning and protection of the population. The decision-making process must encompass a wide range of quantitative and qualitative criteria, including infrastructure availability, distance from potential sources of danger, capacity of facilities and accessibility to users. In this paper, the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) was applied as a multi-criteria decision-making method for identifying the most favorable shelter locations in the territory of the city of Novi Sad. The results of the research indicate the importance of applying the AHP method in the planning of the protection and rescue system, whereby the resulting model can be used as a basis for decision-making in other urban areas with similar characteristics

Abstract
This study aimed to determine the influence of body composition on the muscle fitness of selected judokas. This study was conducted on a sample of 23 judokas (cadets n = 12, juniors n = 11), members of the male national team of Serbia. The assessment of body composition was performed using the InBody 720 (Biospace Co., Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea) and calipers. Muscle fitness was assessed using “Optojump” (Microgate, Bolzano, Italy), Fitrodine Premium (Fitronic, Bratislava, Slovakia), and a digital force instrument IMADA Z2H-1100 (Imada Inc., Northbrook, IL, USA). Regression analysis revealed a notable association between muscle mass and measures of explosive strength (countermovement jump (CMJ) p = 0.023; drop jump (DJ) p = 0.026). Moreover, this study’s results showed that back extension (p = 0.006; R2 = 0.61) and hand grip (p = 0.009; R2 = 0.52) provide a strong positive association with muscle mass. The findings suggest that tailored training and nutritional strategies that improve muscle mass might significantly enhance muscle fitness in young judokas, optimizing their performance
