Ecosystem-based disaster risk reduction Implementation for increased resilience to water-related natural hazards
Natural hazards related to water, e.g., hydro-meteorological events cannot be prevented. These hazards generate a majority of disasters globally. Although there is significant uncertainty regarding their occurrence in the future, the current body of knowledge indicates changes in frequency that will very likely increase the disaster risks. With no intention to discuss and elaborate on various threats to security and ecosystem services approaches definitions, an overview of the ecosystem services’ role in local, national, regional and global disaster risk reduction is presented. The role of Eco- DRR in hydrometeorological disasters risk reduction and environmental security is supported by the synthesis of the elaborated contemporary policies, conventions and frameworks. As indicated for selected river basin, there is a rationale to increase Eco-DRR implementation in the policies and legal framework to reinforce sectoral cooperation and improve disaster risk management
Species richness and community structure of earthworms (Oligochaeta: Lumbricidae) in natural and agricultural ecosystems
The aim of this study is to provide a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the earthworm community in habitats that are differentiated by the gradient of agricultural land use intensity, as well as differentiated natural ecosystems. The material was collected from the central part of Serbia. In addition to population density, as one of the basic structural characteristics, we used relative numerous relationships of individual populations to analyze the structure of the earthworm community. A total of 16 earthworm species were identified. The highest species richness was registered in primary ecosystems, with the highest number of registered species amounting to 12. The highest number of species belonged to the genera Allolobophora and Aporrectodea. However, Aporrectodea rosea (Savigny, 1826) was identified as an edificatory. These are the species that have the highest tolerance threshold on adverse climatic and ecological conditions, and have exceptional survival ability. The lumbricid fauna of mesophilic meadows, with several cosmopolitan species, was fairly uniform. In conventional fields, as well as in organic ones, earthworm populations were poor, and non-associative. Our analysis of the earthworm community in different ecosystems provides an insight into the current state of the examined ecosystems and represents a good basis for applied research in soil ecology
For what the bell tolls: A contribution to understanding dependence of the pandemic and global trade
The outburst of COVID-19 pandemics has heavily contracted and structurally altered both the size and the flows of international trade throughout 2020 and 2021. Even though contagion effect on global trade is clearly a negative one for a number of reasons elaborated in the paper, we venture to argue that this is in fact an evolutionary, expected and unavoidable consequence of the globalisation process itself. Among the key trends affecting the present and future of the international trade, roughly half of them are fully independent and the other half at best semi-dependent from the pandemics itself. In other words, it appears that the bell tolls for the wrong suspect, in as much as the two phenomena might be coextensive, not to mention the ideological and operational confusion behind recently widespread deliberations to deploy trade policies in order to simultaneously achieve several non-trade objectives of dubious compatibility. Notwithstanding the grim prospects on the horizon, some Mediterranean economies, if proven capable, may yet turn out to be the unintended winners of the silver lining
Emergency situations caused by bioterrorist acts and large pandemics in the mirror of the covid-19 pandemic
Emergency situations arise as a result of various events. The paper analyzes the relationship between bioterrorism and the pandemic of infectious diseases, with special emphasis on KOVID-19.
Infectious diseases are understood as one of the leading safety risks, due to the consequences they can cause. The most serious consequence of a bioterrorist attack is a globally distributed infectious disease that would cause massive human diseases and numerous disorders in the health, economic, cultural and every other segment of the functioning of society.
Research has shown that since the early stages of the KOVID-19 pandemic, there have been various theories about the origin of the virus. With the development of modern terrorism, the probability that a terrorist group will decide to use biological weapons is growing day by day. The inductive-deductive method was used in the paper, as well as the method of content analysi

Thematically, the content is focused on reviewing various forms of corporate restructuring, change of management model, ownership and organizational structure, application of new strategies, and achieved financial results, as indicators of the success of corporate restructuring, with special
reference to the impact of COVID-19 on Air Serbia. The methodological framework includes desk research and a case study method based on data collection and analysis, synthesis of theoretical and empirical facts, and using available sources related to the research topic
Specifičnost i zastupljenost uspavanki u predškolskoj vaspitnoobrazovnoj praksi
Vajdaság fejlesztési lehetőségei és kihívásai a fürdőturizmus terén
Vajdaság Autonóm Tartomány és a Szerb Köztársaság idegenforgalmi

Decarbonization of Eastern European economies: monitoring, economic, social and security concerns
Background
Decarbonisation of the European economy is one of the main strategic goals of energy transition in the European Union (EU), which aims to become a leader in this process by 2050 and to include other European countries making thus the European continent the first carbon neutral region in the world. Although decarbonisation is an important goal of the EU, the models for monitoring the progress of this process have not yet been clearly defined, and views on the social, economic, and security implications in terms of prioritising decarbonisation are conflicting. The main objective of this paper is to determine the methodological correctness of the existing method of decarbonisation monitoring, to develop a new monitoring model indicating the differences in the EU and European countries that are non-EU and to point out the underlying social, economic and security implications that must certainly find their place in the decision-making process in this field.
Results
The main results showed that there is no clearly defined model for monitoring the success of decarbonisation, while the indicators that are commonly used for this purpose make a model that, as the analysis shows—is methodologically incorrect. In the case of EU countries, the following indicators proved to be the most reliable: consumption-based CO2 and share in global CO2. For non-EU countries, the best monitoring indicators are CO2 per unit of GDP, consumption-based CO2, and renewable energy consumption. These indicators can explain 99% of the variance in decarbonisation success.
Conclusions
The basic conclusion of the paper is that even before the implementation, the decarbonisation monitoring model should be defined and methodologically tested, and the use of a single model for all EU countries or for all countries is not recommended. It is proposed to simplify the monitoring model, with an emphasis on monitoring of consumption-based CO2, which proved to be the most efficient in all sampled countries. The current method of monitoring is based exclusively on environmentally related indicators while ignoring the fact that decarbonisation is associated with almost all aspects of development. The additional social, economic and security aspects need to be developed and included in the further monitoring process
