Effect of Different Covering Treatments on Chemical Composition of Early Potato Tubers
Potatoes hold a signifcant position as one of the most important crops. Their value
lies not only in their nutritional composition but also in their function as raw materials for various processing purposes. Furthermore, the cultivation of early potatoes
carries considerable agrotechnical importance due to their ability to serve as the
initial crop in intensive crop rotation, optimizing the utilization of agricultural soil.
The primary objective of its production is to reach a consistent and high yield of
premium quality. Additionally, the aim is to enter the market as early as possible and
maximize proftability. To achieve these goals, producers utilize specifc covering
treatments such as mulching and plant covering to ensure earlier and safer production, thus maximizing profts. Our research aimed to determine the impact of diferent covering treatments (biodegradable mulch, agrotextile, low tunnel) on the chemical composition of early potato tubers. A 3-year feld experiment was managed in
Begeč (Serbia) with two early potato cultivars, Cleopatra and Riviera. The tested
covering treatments signifcantly infuenced the quality of early potatoes, by increasing the content of dry matter, starch, vitamin C, cellulose, and ash in the tubers and
by reducting sugar and nitrate content
Serbia is in the process of harmonizing and incorporating European regulations on construction products into domestic legislation, i.e. regulations. Sustainable development as a concept has its basic focus on the preservation of natural ecosystems and the rational use of the country’s natural resources, as well as on methods and management related to raising the quality of the environment and life in a safe and healthy environment. It is necessary to achieve results related to defining global development goals, reducing the risk of adverse effects of climate change and strategic plans in order to find ways to make the green economy one of the main catalysts of economic growth, employment and poverty reduction in the region. Sustainable construction does not only include resources such as land, building materials, transportation and more. The most important resource in the era of the knowledge economy is human resources and their potential. Human resources are an important segment of sustainability, knowledge economy, economic profitability in relation to profitability, profitability, utilization, as well as the field of sustainable construction. A very important assumption for the sustainability of construction is the materials used, which ensure the energy efficiency of buildings. This work covers several scientific areas such as green and (bio)economy, circular economy, sustainable development, environmental protection and security. The aim of the work is to indicate the impact of climate change on the potential of human resources in the field of sustainable construction and design of smart eco-buildings in Serbia with reference to the practice of the European Union.Urednici: prof. dr Andrea Andrejević Panić, prof. dr Jelena Ješić i prof. dr Simonida Vukadinović; tehnički urednici: prof. dr Simonida Vukadinović, prof. dr Jelena Ješić, prof. dr Andrea Andrejević Panić i doc. dr Zoran Brlja
Effects of Specific RAMP Protocol Phase on Change of Direction Speed of Police Students
Background: This study assessed the effects of two distinct RAMP (Raise, Activate, Mobilize, Potentiate) protocols, mobility-focused and reactiveness-focused, on change of direction speed in police students (i.e., tactical athletes). Methods: A longitudinal design with two experimental and one control group was employed. The study sample consisted of 39 police students (aged 19.2 ± 0.2 yrs) who were randomly allocated into three equal groups of 13 participants (7 females and 6 males). Experimental groups were labeled as the mobility group or reactiveness group based on the type of RAMP protocol they performed. During the tactical physical education classes, the mobility group performed four complex mobility exercises, while the reactiveness group performed four exercises for trunk reactiveness. After the specific warm-up, both groups continued with syllabus activities. The control group performed only regular activities based on the study syllabus. All participants performed the Illinois Agility test unloaded (IAT) and loaded (10 kg vest [IATL]) and Functional Movement Screening (FMS) before and after 8 weeks of the applied protocols. Results: In general, improvements were observed across all participants in the IAT (p < 0.001), IATL (p < 0.001), and FMS (p < 0.001). The mobility protocol had a more substantial impact compared to the reactiveness protocolontheIAT(d=0.55vs. d=0.40),IATL(d=0.44vs. d=0.38),andFMS(d=0.88vs. d = −0.42). Additionally, the control group, which did not follow either RAMP protocol, did not show significant improvements. Conclusions: These results underscore the importance of incorporating targeted mobility training in the limited time available for strength and conditioning programs, as it improves occupationally relevant movement qualities such as change of direction speed ability. Prioritizing mobility training in young tactical athletes may offer broader benefits compared to reactiveness training

From gender equality to gender neutrality, a need or a trend? Experiences from Sweden
Gender neutrality as a concept stems from post-constructivist feminism, emphasizing equality without assumptions and requirements in terms of of gender roles. In its essence, it emphases justice and equal treatment for all. Unlike traditional views of gender and sex, gender neutrality underlines self-awareness and investigation as to how gender can affect behaviors and relationships. The aim of this paper is to present important indicators of gender neutrality in Sweden, which holds a leading position according to the indicators for gender neutral society, and the position of Serbia, which has been undergoing a longstanding process of implementation of the gender equality policy. The fact of the matter is that progress in these key areas of gender equality improvement in Serbia is happening extremely slowly, which is supported by the fact that only in 59 years could we expect the analyzed parameters to be wholly met through full gender equality. Comparing Serbia with the EU countries according to the Gender Equality Index for 2018, it can be noted that we are 9.4 points behind on average, while we lag behind Sweden by 25.8 points. In this paper we ask important questions that should be addressed by the scientific and professional community, concerning a critical review of the gender-neutral educational future of Serbia, and how we, as a society, are ready for it
