Service for Saint Prince Lazar According to the Manuscript from Stari Slankamen
This paper offers an edition of the Old Church Slavonic text of the Service for Saint
Prince Lazar, based on the manuscript from St. Nicholas Church in Stari Slakamen, Serbia
(according to the paleographic description and photographs of the manuscript published
by Petar Momirović). The text of the manuscript is examined with regard to the existing
edition by Đorđe Trifunović and Irena Špadijer, and analyzed pricipally in comparison
with representative copies of the Service, found in codices H 482, H 509 and D 39 (from
monasteries Hilandar and Dečani), as well as codices P 55 (from the Holy Trinity Monastery
near Pljevlja), A 290 and A 142 (from the Archive of the Serbian Academy of Sciences
and Arts). By investigating the phonetic, morphological, lexical and syntactic differences
between textual variants of the Service, this paper shows that the copy from Stari Slankamen (marked as S) is very close to the one found in D 39, thus belonging to the so-called
first cycle of copies of the Service, along with H 482 and H 509. The act of attending to
minute discrepancies between the variants reveals that the medieval text is a dynamic and
„open” literary work, whose form is perpetually shaped by different readings, redactions,
and publications. Discoveries of codices are thus regarded as fundamentally important:
they cast new light on the hymnographic tradition, contributing to the understanding of
its liturgical, textual and poetical complexity
Wind: As an environmental threat
The environment is threatened by many different factors, that man efforts to counter within his mental and technical capabilities. All the dangers that influence the environment in a harmful matter can be divided into two basic groups: peaceful and war painted times. Given the fact that peaceful times dominate when times is in play, those environmental dangers are divided into natural and technical and technological influences. The natural disasters as such, are out of our control and will continue to occur. Law on Protection form natural occurring disasters defined them as threatening to human life, human safety as a whole, and that of the environment

Phraseological elements in contemporary advertising slogans in German
This paper presents results of an analysis of 1,060 advertising campaign slogans on the German market from the late 20th and early 21st centuries. All analyzed slogans were very popular, while German speakers still remember them, and we are yet to see for how long. The introductory part of the paper contains general information on advertising slogans and the language of advertising, while the next one offers a typology of phraseologisms found in German commercials. The third part deals with various modifications of these slogans, which were made by their creators, who created puns hoping that the slogan and commercial will thus become more conspicuous, interesting or effective. The final part of the paper summarizes the results of the analysis and point to the potential role of advertising slogans in teaching/learning German as a foreign language, and in particular at university level or advanced language courses. Finally, the paper suggests possible approaches to slogans in the process of localization of commercials and advertising campaigns
The Perception of a State of Insecurity in Literature on Global Occurrences. Gehen, Ging, Gegangen vs. Die Flucht
The paper discusses two currently dominating global occurrences that appear to have common features. First, backed by the example of Jenny Erpenbeck's novel Gehen, Ging, Gegangen (2015) that addresses the migration flows we witness, questions will be raised about the differences in perception of the causes for global cultural changes seeking equalization and upholding, viewed from the perspective of Western civilization, and German particularly. In the second part of the paper Gerhard Gesemann's novel Die Flucht (1935), marking the anniversaries on the occasion of WWI, is being introduced in its function of a remembrance literature dealing with the retreat of the Serbian military in the Great War together with its expelled residents from the homeland to their asylum in Corfu. By comparing these two novels on both "refugee-ness" and state of insecurity, the paper points out different cultural forms existing because of the accumulated historical experiences, and shows how this circumstance influences the understanding of the aforementioned topics. Following this idea, the contribution underlines additional differences in defining the concept of home by describing cultural patterns and their treatment of the mediated reflected reality

Management and leadership in Serbian terminology work
Research question: This paper studies the roles of Terminology Leadership (Filipovic 2012, 2015; Filipovic & Vuco, 2012; Filipovic & Djordan, 2018) and Terminology Management model (Jernudd & Neustupny, 1987, 1991; Jernudd 1993, 1997 in Antia, 2000, p.3; Spolsky, 2004, 2009, 2012) in the implementation of terminology policy and planning in Serbia, and the sustainable development of Serbian scientific and technical terminology. Motivation: As in almost all standard-language cultures (Quirk,1990), the Serbian language policy is top-down oriented, i.e., it follows the language management model. In this model, all decisions regarding the language, including terminology decisions, are made by linguists - language planners, without taking into account the opinions of professional and academic communities, i.e., the primary creators and users of terminology. Newer European terminology guidelines, especially the widely accepted UNESCO Guidelines for Terminological Policies (2005, p.3), however, propose that terminology work should be approached both top-down, i.e., on the level of political decision-making (following the terminology management model), and bottom-up, i.e., on the level of professional associations and other terminology stakeholders (following the complementary model of terminology leadership). Idea: The idea behind this paper is to investigate to what extent the terminology leadership model and the bottom-up orientation in the Serbian terminology policy and planning are recognized and accepted by various groups of stakeholders in comparison with the dominant language management model. Data: The data regarding the perspectives of two groups of terminology stakeholders (technical translators and professional / academic community) towards the state of the Serbian subject-field terminology and terminology management were collected, analyzed, interpreted and compared. Tools: The data were collected through two surveys on terminology work (Andjelkovic, 2018). While the first survey focuses on translators' perspective on terminology management, the second survey examines the attitude of the academic community towards the terminology state of their own subject field: management. Findings: The surveys' results confirm that both groups of terminology stakeholders recognise the importance of collaborative and cooperative work of linguists and subject field specialists in terminology policy making, planning and implementation, and thus do not regard linguists (i.e., language planners) as exclusive language and terminology decision-makers. The results also indicate, however, that there is still a very strong influence of standard-language ideology and the top-down oriented language policy. Contribution: The paper suggests a change in the implementation of the Serbian terminology policy and planning that is more in line with the European terminology Guidelines (UNESCO, 2005)
