    No full text
Rad ukazuje na neke od specifičnih zajedničkih i posebnih osobenosti značenja i funkcija pojedinih preterita u svakodnevnoj kolokvijalnoj komunikaciji na savremenim balkanskim jezicima. The emphasis of this paper is not placed on developing a certain complex theory of the verbal past and pluperfect tense system of modern Balkan languages concerning the colloquial communication, but rather on providing enlightening suggestions on tenses of the past both in particular and in general point of view. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to guide a reader or a linguist down his own personal path to linguistic discoveries, such as - similarities, dissimilarities, differences in comprehension of one (or all) past tense(s) and period(s) of past time, particular or total concordance of temporal values and functions of past tense(s), the role of different time adverbials in order to be properly defined (or understood) the essential semantic and logical message of past tense(s) used in the duration of colloquial communication, phenomena on the intersection of verbal aspectuality and temporality. In this sense our intention has been to demonstrate in brief the extent to which is Modern Serbian either aspectual or temporal type of Balkan Slavonic language and when its aspectuality and temporality are firmly bounded into one time section or into the whole verbal system. We have also tried to point out stylistic values and functional meanings of the dominant preterite tense, either Aorist of Present Perfect, depending on the language at issue

    No full text
U radu se deklitizacija veznika definiše kao (a) tonska anticipacija veznika i njihovo odvajanje pauzom od potonjeg konteksta; kao (b) intencionalna pojava jer dolazi od govornikove namere da tonski i komunikativno pojača veznik; i kao (v) fakultativna pojava - sa strukturnoga gledišta - pa se interpunkcijski modeli svrstavaju u oblast stilski motivisane interpunkcije. It is found in the work that not only are the primarily-accentual pronominal words as well as pronominal-adverbial words are subjected to the declitisation nor are those in the first line but first and foremost real conjunctions, among them most often coordinating conjunction "and" and subordinating one "as/because/for"

Education of librarians at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels has been conducting on the Faculty of Philology of the University of Belgrade since 1962 as well as 1981, and since 1990 in today’s form. Relation between theory and practice has been established through direct cooperation with libraries and related cultural institutions. The reform of education, that is underway, provides the consideration of new rules and, in the same time, both flexibility and multi- disciplinary forms of acquired education. Development of the cooperation with foreign universities is our pass into modern trends. The fact that our diplomas are successfully validated by the foreign universities confirms that we are close to them

Klasifikacija tekstualnih vrsta u nemačkoj publicistici

    No full text
On obuhvata sedam osnovnih grupa tekstova informativne, interpretativne, komentatorske, kritičke, instruktivne direktivno-apelativne i zabavne tekstove. Unutar svake od ovih grupa moguća je dalja supklasifikacija na osnovu većeg broja različitih kriterijuma stepena informativnosti, dužine i opsežnosti, položaja, izvora, autorstva itd

The reception of the classical rhetorical and philosophical terms in Serbian language

U radu se istražuju pojedini retorički i filozofski termini, posmatrani u okviru osnovnog trijadičkog koncepta: govornik, recipijent i znak (termin pojam, etc). Na određenim primerima će biti prikazano na koji način se dolazi do pravilnog razumevanja i interpretacije pojedinih filozofskih i retoričkih termina, imajući, pritom, u vidu njihovu etimologiju, semantičko obeležje, kao i ulogu prevodioca kao posrednika između govornika i recipijenta. In this paper author discusses the etymology, as well as the possibility of adequate translation of certain philosophical and rhetorical terms. The main intention of this paper is to resolve some problems of their precise translation from Greek into Serbian and some other modern languages. The author tries to present the way in which the contrastive analysis of certain terms and also deeply knowledge of the background of the classical text can be used in the process of better understanding the meaning of the philosophical and rhetorical terminology. The main problem of translator is how to make the connection between the speaker, the recipient and the term which are the basic elements of conversation. It can be said that the forth element of this triad could be translator, whose task will be to create precise interpretation of the text, which includes his broad knowledge of the etymology, the contest and the circumstances in which one philosophical or rhetorical term have been used in original. So we can conclude that the philosophical or rhetorical terms of the Greek origin could be translated in a great number into other languages due to a hard and diligent work of his translator

Body made of water: The Proteus' symbolism in Virgil's poetry

Multiform sea-god that appears for the first time in the Odyssey is one of most important symbolical figures of Virgil's Georgica. In epyllion inclosing this pseudo-didactic poem, his metamorphosises are not limited to living creatures, but go far beyond that, to the level of elements - finally, he transforms his body into the body made of water. Ever-changing sea is thus crystallized in this divinity. However, Virgil is not interested in Proteus himself, but in catching of Proteus, which symbolizes restraining of disorderly forces in the human soul, in the language an in the poetry itself. A complex relation is connecting Virgil's Proteus with Tiphon from Hesiod's Theogony, the polycephalus monster that possesses hundred voices and is depicting the chaotic side of poem itself. Tiphon is also one of imaginary figures that Plato is using both to describe Socrates and to give a painting of lustful part of the soul - the epythimikon. Thanks to this intertextual net the Proteus episode is revealing how is Virgil, using this symbolical character, exploring the problem of acosmia - of primal disorder that is still threatening in the midst of organized world of human soul and human creation
