No full textThis work seeks to make known the history of the Movement for the Renewal of Religious Art (Movimento de Renovação da Arte Religiosa - MRAR), making a detailed portrait of its action in the 1950s and 1960s. Wishing to make the historical trajectory of this movement closer and more comprehensible, it was considered that the approach in the narrative style would be the most appropriate. The events are thus presented and articulated in a chronological order, often resorting to the quotation of comments, thoughts and ideas expressed at the time, as a way of guaranteeing the richness of the original discourse and guaranteeing it a genuineness that could be falsified by the use of our own words.Esta obra procura dar a conhecer a história do Movimento de Renovação da Arte Religiosa (MRAR), fazendo um retrato detalhado da sua ação nas décadas de 1950 e 1960. Desejando tornar mais próximo e compreensível o percurso histórico deste movimento, considerou-se que a abordagem no estilo narrativo seria a mais adequada. Os acontecimentos estão deste modo apresentados e articulados segundo uma ordem cronológica, recorrendo-se frequentemente à citação de comentários, pensamentos e ideias expressas então, como forma de garantir a riqueza do discurso original e de lhe garantir uma genuidade que poderia ser falseada no recurso a palavras nossas

Get PDFIn May 2013, the Global Commission on Drug Policy released a report on the Hidden Epidemic of Hepatitis C, which contains a set of recommendations to draw the attention of the public and governments to what the World Health Organization considers to be a real viral time bomb. In fact, Chronic Hepatitis C is a disease that affects 170 million people worldwide, infecting almost 4 million people and causing 350,000 deaths each year. Being a chronic viral infection with a very high prevalence, Hepatitis C poses major public health, economic and social problems, especially in low and middle income countries.The Strategic Consensus for the Management of Hepatitis C in Portugal is the result of discussions held between October 2013 and March 2014 by a Think Tank, composed of about 30 people representing science, clinical practice, Health management, political power and patients. It is in this context that I want to welcome the study, as timely as it is significant, that is presented here, which together transposes the generic recommendations just mentioned to the case of Portugal. A história na ficção televisiva portuguesa
Get PDFHow is History represented in television fiction? Where do reality end and fiction begin? Which themes and periods are favored by Portuguese television fiction? How historical episodes, characters, and environments are represented? Through an interdisciplinary approach, the authors of this book place history in images at the center of the action and set out on an analytical journey through the productions of Portuguese generalist television in the last decades, tracing a genealogy of the titles, themes, eras, formats, genres, models and productive tendencies of national historical fiction. The team of authors focused on the period 1990-2013 and converged on the themes of the Estado Novo and its effects, following the thematic lines most worked on by the recent and young academic and literary production in the field of contemporary history. To achieve these objectives, four titles were chosen and worked on - A Raia dos Medos (RTP1, 2000), A Vida Privada de Salazar (SIC, 2009), Até Amanhã, Camaradas (SIC, 2005), and Conta-me Como Foi (RTP, 2007-11).Como se representa a História na ficção televisiva? Onde acaba o real e começa a ficção? Quais os temas e épocas preferidos pela ficção na televisão portuguesa? Como foram tratados episódios, personagens e ambientes históricos em casos concretos? Através de uma abordagem interdisciplinar, os autores deste livro colocam a história em imagens no centro da acção e partem para uma viagem analítica pelas produções da televisão generalista portuguesa nas últimas décadas, traçando uma genealogia dos títulos, temas, épocas, formatos, géneros, modelos e tendências produtivas da ficção histórica nacional. A equipa de autores centrou-se no período 1990-2013 e convergiu nos temas do Estado Novo e seus efeitos, seguindo as linhas temáticas mais trabalhadas pela recente e jovem produção académica e literária no domínio da história contemporânea. Hospitality proves to be one of the ways to build Christian identity in the believing community. In addition to eloquent testimony to outsiders, it creates a warm atmosphere for insiders. Assim como o encontro que Jesus provocou se traduziu em inesperadas transformações, também na vida dos crentes, graças à hospitalidade, a linguagem da fé e da vida se escrevem com um outro alfabeto. A hospitalidade revela-se um dos caminhos para a construção da identidade cristã, na comunidade crente. Além de testemunho eloquente para os de fora, cria um ambiente caloroso para os de dentro.

Get PDFThe texts that constitute this volume dedicated to the thought of the French philosopher Louis Lavelle (1883-1951) bring to the public the final result of the research work carried out within the scope of the first edition of the Seminar of In-depth Studies on the Ontology of Louis Lavelle, held at the Centre for Philosophy Studies of the Faculty of Human Sciences of the Portuguese Catholic University. Originally presented as a Colloquium, these research papers now find their final expression in this volume. According to Jean École, "Lavelle outlined a doctrine of being that, as it developed, renewed the problematics of all the great traditional themes. We find here worked out the themes of evil, suffering, and the possible overcoming of both within an ontological horizon in which human action is informed by an intuition of value that discovers the essence of the radical difference between being and non-being. In a cultural world in need of reborn ontological attention to the real, the study of this author\u27s thought contributes to a new consideration of the very essence and substance of that reality.Os textos que constituem este volume dedicado ao pensamento do filósofo francês Louis Lavelle (1883-1951) trazem a público o resultado final do trabalho de investigação desenvolvido no âmbito da primeira edição do Seminário de Estudos Aprofundados sobre a Ontologia de Louis Lavelle, realizado no Centro de Estudos de Filosofia da Faculdade de Ciências Humanas da Universidade Católica Portuguesa. Originalmente apresentados num Colóquio, estes trabalhos de investigação encontram agora a sua expressão final integrando este volume de Atas. No entender de Jean École, «Lavelle esboçou uma doutrina do ser que, ao desenvolver-se, renovou a problemática de todos os grandes temas tradicionais». The chronological scope thus, extends from the collapse of the Old Regime and the arrival of the liberal contemporaneous period, starting in 1820, to the end of the First Republic and the triumph of the new dictatorial order in 1926, later crystallized in the Estado Novo. The book\u27s connecting thread is not given merely by the chronology and sequential arrangement of the texts. There is some thematic continuity and articulation between all of them, revealing the main themes of eighteenth- and eighteenth-century Portugal explored here: the events and ruptures, the institutions, laws, projects, values, practices and habits that (in)shaped political evolution and culture, the dynamics, spaces, instruments and dimensions of public opinion, and the conditions, utopias and limits of awareness and the exercise of modern citizenship. No full textTo think about forgiveness is to navigate the depths of fault and to discover the mark of absurdity with which it seals human life. And, from that dark background, to reinvent a life. If it is possible at all, forgiveness will be an overflowing gift in the midst of a painful debt. But one cannot get from debt to gift without going through the reinvention of meaning. Because the past is irreversible. What remains is the reading with which it is looked at, which can be recreated. And recreative. In the face of the irreversible and the unforgivable, forgiveness will represent a reconfiguration in the history of a life. A disproportionate, excessive, transcendent gift, forgiveness is shown as retelling, mourning, promise, acknowledgment and hospitality. It takes place as a way of welcoming the other, the other enemy, the guilty other, in the recreation of a life and of living together. Perhaps only in him can the miracle of making the enemy a friend take place. Pensar o perdão é fazer uma navegação às profundezas da falta e descobrir a marca do absurdo com que ela sela a vida humana. E, desde esse fundo tenebroso, reinventar uma vida. Se de todo ele é possível, o perdão será dom transbordante no seio de uma dívida dolorosa. Mas não se chega da dívida ao dom sem passar pela reinvenção do sentido. Porque o passado é irreversível. O que resta é a leitura com que ele é olhado, que pode ser recriada. E recriadora. Face ao irreversível e ao imperdoável, o perdão representará uma reconfiguração na história de uma vida. Dom desproporcional, excessivo, transcendente, o perdão mostra-se como renarração, luto, promessa, reconhecimento e hospitalidade. Dá-se como caminho de acolhimento do outro, do outro inimigo, do outro culpado, na recriação de uma vida e do viver juntos. Talvez só nele se dê o milagre de fazer do inimigo um amigo.  
A metafísica da saudade em Leonardo Coimbra: estudo sobre a presença do mistério e a redenção integral
No full textThe present work corresponds to the text of the first three parts of the doctoral thesis in Portuguese Philosophy presented to the Catholic University of Portugal. It seeks to highlight Leonardo Coimbra\u27s metaphysical theory of Experience as a philosophical way of configuring the nostalgic movement of creative action, in which the return to the Origin does not mean the abstract dilution of beings in the Absolutus (pantheistic monism), but constitutes the concrete and social reality of the fraternal relationship of creatures with the Creator (theistic pluralism). Through the correlation between reason and experience, in the dialectical progress of conscious memory, which has in Mysterious Reason as its corollary, we will present the creationist solution to the ancestral metaphysical question about the relationship between the essential Unity of the Origin and the existential plurality of creatures. Mysterious Reason introduces us to the gymnastic vision of the Mystery of the Origin, which affirms beings in dependence on the infinite Being and assures the Presence of the eternity of Grace in the time of the existential condition, whose End is the victory over evil and death, in the immeasurable dynamic of integral redemption.A presente obra corresponde ao texto das primeiras três partes da tese de doutoramento em Filosofia Portuguesa apresentada à Universidade Católica Portuguesa. Procura evidenciar a teoria metafísica da Experiência de Leonardo Coimbra como forma filosófica de configurar o movimento saudoso da acção criadora, em que o regresso à Origem não significa a abstracta diluição dos seres no Absolutus (monismo panteísta), mas constitui a realidade concreta e social da relação fraterna das criaturas com o Criador (pluralismo teísta).Através da correlação entre a razão e a experiência, no progresso dialéctico da memória consciente, que tem na Razão mistérica o seu corolário, apresentaremos a solução criacionista para a ancestral questão metafísica acerca da relação entre a Unidade essencial da Origem e a pluralidade existencial das criaturas.
