Pengaruh Emotional Intelligence, Locus of Control, Risk Aversion, dan Financial Literacy Terhadap Risky Investment Intention di Indonesia
This study investigates how individual factors—namely emotional intelligence, external locus of control, risk aversion, and financial literacy—affect the intention to invest in risky financial instruments in Indonesia. The research explores both the direct and indirect effects of these factors on risky investment intentions. Data were collected from 507 respondents through an online questionnaire. The findings indicate that emotional intelligence, external locus of control, and financial literacy positively influence the intention to invest in risky assets, while risk aversion has a negative effect. Additionally, the analysis of indirect effects shows that financial literacy moderates the relationship between emotional intelligence and risk aversion in shaping risky investment intentions. However, financial literacy does not moderate the relationship between external locus of control and risky investment intentions
In Silico Analysis of CD40 Mutations and Their Implications for Quinoline-benzoic acid derivatives Based Therapy in Graves\u27 Disease
Graves\u27 disease is an autoimmune disorder in which the CD40-CD154 interaction plays a critical role in T-cell activation. In this study, in silico methods were employed to analyze the binding interactions of quinoline-benzoic acid derivatives (NSB, FSB, and NQB) with the CD40 receptor and to investigate the implications of specific CD40 mutations for drug efficacy. In this reseach conducted by molecular simulation approach with molecular docking Results Mutation analysis of CD40 identified alterations in key residues, such as R203C, which may impact ligand-independent activation and downstream TRAF binding, crucial for signal transduction. These findings highlight the therapeutic potential of quinoline-benzoic acid derivatives for targeting CD40 in Graves\u27 disease, particularly in the context of receptor mutations. The integration of molecular docking, mutation analysis, and pharmacokinetic profiling provides a comprehensive framework for designing effective CD40-targeted therapies
CODA or Children of Deaf Adults are the descendants of deaf parents who have the ability to hear and speak. They also have their own emotional stress because they have to adapt to two worlds, the hearing and deaf worlds. This leads to feelings of alienation which are also reinforced by external and internal factors. This research aims to find out how influential the feeling of alienation is on Bori\u27s identity as a CODA in the Korean movie Bori. The character Bori is a CODA and the only person with hearing ability in her deaf family. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with a mimetic approach and alienation theory by Seeman Melvin (1959). The results show that the alienation felt by the character Bori comes from the different ways of communicating with her family and the expectations that are indirectly imposed on her and the social environment factors that do not validate her feelings of alienation as a CODA. With internal and external emotional encouragement, Bori can overcome her feelings of alienation and find her true identity
Extraterritorial Jurisdictions: Implementation of Foreign Public Officials in United States, United Kingdom, and Indonesia
Cross-border business transactions have the potential to be corrupted, especially in the form of bribery committed by actors from different countries and within different jurisdictions. The Indonesian Corruption Law has not regulated how to criminalize Indonesian public officials or certain private companies who bribe officials in other countries or vice versa. Although Indonesia has ratified the United Nation Convention Against Corruption, it has not adopted provision on bribery of foreign public officials. Among the international community, the regulations for bribery of foreign public officials have been started by the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977. The United Kingdom also has an international bribery law for British entities called the United Kingdom Bribery Act 2010. The research issue is the implementation of the bribery article to the providers and receivers, under the conditions that they are not Indonesian citizens and the crimes were done outside of Indonesia. By using normative legal research method, the authors expect to provide an overview of Indonesian legal arrangements regarding the bribery of foreign public officials in order to banish foreign bribery practices that involve Indonesians and foreigners
Literasi Kesehatan Mental dan Perilaku Diagnosis Diri pada Mahasiswa
Background. College students must have mental health literacy in order to validate information about mental health and avoid self-diagnosis. Students will be better able to manage their mental health as their health literacy abilities improve.
Aim. This research aims to understand the overview of mental health literacy and self-diagnosis behavior among college students at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.
Method. This descriptive-analytical study employs a cross-sectional strategy. The convenience sampling approach was used to pick a sample of 409 college students from UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.
Result. According to the findings, 24.2% of respondents lacked mental health literacy. As many as 54% of respondents engaged in self-diagnosis activity related to mental health, with the internet/social media being the most common source of knowledge. According to the cross-tabulation results, respondents with moderate and high mental health literacy engaged in self-diagnosis behavior at rates of 62.1% and 53.2%. College students with strong mental health literacy (moderate to high) are more likely to participate in self-diagnosis behavior. College students are expected to be able to discover trustworthy sources of mental health information online. The university can develop campaigns, screening programs, and a mental health literacy curriculum
Repositioning North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO): The New Security Dilemma on Trans–Atlantic Relations Amid Shifting Global Geopolitics
The shifting global geopolitics have led to a new security dilemma in Europe, especially in trans–Atlantic relations. NATO as the vanguard of the trans–Atlantic defense pact is faced with transitional conditions of non-conventional threats that return to conventional threats. Due to the shift in the new global order, these threats require a repositioning for NATO to counter the new security dilemma amidst shifting global geopolitics. By referring to the three asserted pillars–the return of conventional warfare on the European continent; a more assertive Russia in the European continent under Vladimir Putin; and the geopolitical of China\u27s rise impacted trans–-Atlantic relations, as factors of the new securities dilemma in the context of trans-Atlantic relations, this research aims to analyze the impact of the new security dilemma amidst shifting global geopolitics toward the repositioning of NATO and its consequences on the trans–Atlantic relations using the integration of Mackinder’s Heartland Theory with Jervis’ Security Dilemma
Status Gizi sebagai Faktor Risiko Mortalitas di Rumah Sakit pada Pasien Lanjut Usia Pasca Reseksi Tumor Kolorektal
Introduction. Malnutrition in elderly patients, particularly those with colorectal cancer, increases morbidity, mortality, and length of hospital stay due to metabolic dysregulation and hypermetabolic perioperative response, affecting wound healing, infection risk, postoperative complications, and nutritional deficits. This study aimed to analyze whether nutritional status is a risk factor for in-hospital mortality in elderly patients after colorectal tumor resection.
Methods. A case-control matching study was conducted on elderly patients who underwent colorectal tumor resection, using secondary data from elderly inpatients at Dr. Kariadi General Hospital from January 2020 to April 2024. The collected data were analyzed using bivariate analysis with the Chi-square test and multivariate analysis with logistic regression.
Results. The study involved 48 elderly patients who died during treatment and 48 elderly patients who survived until the end of treatment. Nutritional screening assessed with Skrining Gizi Kariadi (SGK) was not associated with in-hospital mortality after colorectal tumor resection [p=0.306; OR 1.952 (95% CI 0.694-5.491)]. However, nutritional assessment based on American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN) criteria was associated with in-hospital mortality after colorectal tumor resection [p\u3c0.001; OR 5.800 (95% CI 2.345-14.344)]. The results of the multivariate analysis also revealed a significant link between nutritional status based on the ASPEN criteria (p=0.028) and a higher risk of in-hospital mortality in elderly patients after colorectal tumor resection.
Conclusion. Nutritional status, based on ASPEN criteria, is a risk factor for in-hospital mortality in elderly patients after colorectal tumor resection
