Get PDFThe aim of the paper is showing the idea of The Commission of National Education as
one of the elements existing in historical narration in the school system after the World
War II. It is not my intention to describe either the changes going in the system of
education in Poland or the changes in the historical education as it is a separate research
problem. The descriptions presented in the paper are not sufficient to exhaust the problem
as it will require extending them with the decision making process influencing a particular
inscription in the course book. It was different in Stalin times and it was dramatically
different at the end of the 20th century. Developing those issues extends the frames of
the paper. Similarly, the same refers to the problem of the origins of course book authors,
publishers‘ policy, etc., which have great influence on the final look of the book

Rafała Solewskiego.Rozprawa doktorska stawiała sobie za cel badanie możliwości przysposobienia poetyki dla potrzeb badania/interpretacji fotograficznych reprezentacji. Towarzyszył temu namysł nad formułą „Ut pictura poesis" Horacego. Ponadto praca wchodzi w dyskusję z istniejącymi teoriami, definicjami, z istniejącym dyskursem świata literatury, sztuki, filozofii. Na wybranych cyklach fotograficznych (za materiał badawczy obrano cykle fotograficzne takich artystów jak: Alessandra Sanguinetti, Zofia Rydet, Sally Mann, Richard Billingham, Shizuki Yokomizo, Nobuyoshi Araki, Nan Goldin) zbadane zostały relacje pomiędzy hermeneutyką, poetyką, erotyką sztuki i somaestetyką wrażliwą na estezę. Ostatecznym celem rozprawy doktorskiej było poznanie głębszych, poetyckich, metafizycznych sensów dzieła fotograficznego, co w konsekwencji miało pozwolić na odczytanie „utajonej mowy obrazu”. Zastosowana metoda badawcza czerpiąca z fenomenologii, hermeneutyki, poetyki, „erotyki sztuki”, i uzgadniająca swoje odkrycia z tym co intymne i związane z Innym, potwierdziła w pełni zaakcentowaną we wstępie pracy myśl Horacego - Ut pictura poesis. Próby przysposobienia poetyki dla potrzeb analizy fotograficznego zapisu przyniosły wydobycie z dzieła ukrytych sensów.The objective of the presented doctoral thesis was to explore the possibilities of adaptation of poetics for the needs of study/interpretation of photographic representations. Reflection over the Horace's formula “Ut pictura poesis" accompanied the exploration. Moreover, the thesis discusses the existing theories, definitions, the existing discourse of literature, art and philosophy. The selected photographic cycles (the research material included the photographic cycles of such artists as: Alessandra Sanguinetti, Zofia Rydet, Sally Mann, Richard Billingham, Shizuki Yokomizo, Nobuyoshi Araki, Nan Goldin) were basis for exploring the relationship between hermeneutics, poetics, the erotics of art and somaesthetics sensitive to aesthesis. The final aim of the doctoral thesis was to become acquainted with deeper, poetic, metaphysical meanings of photographic work, and in consequence allow reading the “latent language of an image". The applied research method, drawing from phenomenology, hermeneutics, poetics, the "erotics of art”, and coordinating its discoveries with what is intimate and connected to the Other, fully confirmed the Horace's thought - "Ut pictura poesis" - emphasized in the introduction of the thesis. The attempts to adjust the poetics to the requirements of the analysis of photographic record brought the extraction of latent meanings from the artwork
