Uniwersytet Pedagogiczny im. Komisji Edukacji Narodowej w Krakowie. Wydział Geograficzno-Biologiczny. Instytut Biologii. Praca doktorska wykonana w Zakładzie Ekologii, Badań Łowieckich i Ekoturystyki pod kierunkiem prof. dr hab. Bogusława Bobka.W ciągu trzech kolejnych lat 2011 - 2013 badano zagęszczenie i liczebność saren w czterech kompleksach leśnych Puszczy Niepołomickiej (Koło, Grobelczyk, Grobla i Bór) o łącznej powierzchni 10, 8 tys. ha. In the three consecutive years 2011 - 2013 were studied roe deer density and numbers in four forest complexes of Niepołomicka Forest (Koło, Grobelczyk, Grobla and Bór) with a total area of 10. 8 thousand ha. In 2011 and 2013 used tracking on 16 line transects with a total length of 41.9 kilometers, while in 2012 due to lack of snow cover used sampling belts method. Population density differed significantly between the study forest complexes. The highest was demonstrated in complexes Koło and Grobelczyk (from 446.1 to 531.0 of deer / 1000 ha of forest), lower in the complex Grobla (from 286.1 to 342.5 animals / 1000 ha of forest), and the lowest in the complex Bór (from 95.3 to 113.4 roe deer / 1000 ha of forest). Calculated number of roe deer for the whole Niepołomicka Forest in 2011 amounted 1661 individuals, in 2012 and 2013, respectively 1618 and 1558 individuals. Presented in this study population size differs drastically from data showed by the Forest District of Niepołomice (550 - 622 individuals). Probably the harvest of roe deer was much lower than the annual population growth of what caused the emigration of roe deer from the Niepołomicka Forest on the surrounding fields

U dzieci mających te problemy narasta niechęć do czytania, nauki i szkoły. Był on realizowany w dwóch przedszkolach. Nauczyciele uczyli czytania nową metodą, ale także stymulowali rozwój psychomotoryczny przedszkolaków (percepcja wzrokowa, słuchowa, duża i mała motoryka, mowa, komunikacja interpersonalna, myślenie, pamięć). Sprawdziłam efekty programu (test czytania i badanie mowy). Okazało się, że wzrosły kompetencje językowe dzieci. W badaniach właściwych zastosowałam metodę eksperymentalną. Chciałam zbadać wpływ sylabowej nauki czytania na poziom kompetencji językowych i gotowości szkolnej dzieci przedszkolnych. Wybrałam technikę grup równoległych - plan z grupą kontrolną bez pomiaru początkowego. Napisałam innowację. Zawierała rozkład materiału, konspekty, pomoce oraz test sprawdzający umiejętność czytania. Wprowadziłam program w grupie eksperymentalnej. Innowacja została zatwierdzona w Kuratorium Oświaty w Katowicach i trwała cztery lata. Pozostawałam w roli autora innowacji i metodycznego konsultanta nauczycieli. Losowy był dobór dzieci do grup. Kryteria przyjęć w obydwu przedszkolach były takie same. W badaniu zastosowałam następujące techniki: wywiad (np. dyrektorzy), analizę dokumentów (np. dzienniki), obserwację (zajęć dydaktycznych, spotkań z rodzicami), ankietę dla nauczycieli. Wykorzystałam następujące narzędzia: test logopedyczny, test gotowości szkolnej, test czytania, percepcji słuchowej i lateralizacji. W 2011 roku przeprowadziłam pomiar końcowy w grupie innowacyjnej i kontrolnej. The number of children with language difficulties is constantly increasing. The reasons for this problem can be found in the increased pace of life, the way modern families function or the easy access to new technologies. Ubiquitous images stimulate the right, unilingual hemisphere. Computers, TV-sets and tablets consume family leisure time which could be spent on conversations or playing with a child. Conversations, storytelling and reading stimulate the child's left hemisphere which is responsible for language. Therefore, it is essential to use the preschool period to develop linguistic competence. The child's school career depends on it. Language is not only a communication tool. Disrupted process of language acquisition delays the cognitive development. The results of neurobiological research emphasise that a child's brain matures and learns at the same time. Children learn more quickly due to the social contact with caregivers who play with them. The reason for problems with learning to read can be found in disruptions of neuronal connections between brain areas which are responsible for language. Children with those problems feel an increasing discouragement towards reading, learning and school. They often display speech disorders. The experience gained from therapy which stimulates linguistic development of children through early reading led me to the conclusion. Factors such as insufficient time to undergo the first stage of reading acquisition, insufficient stimulation of cognitive functions, and not proper learning method extinguish the interest and motivation of children to get to know the world of writing. Supporting children who have trouble with learning to read has become the subject of my scientific interest. My research had two aims. I wanted to examine the influence of early reading on the level of linguistic competence and school readiness among preschool children. And I wanted to create the program to develop linguistic school readiness using the simultaneous-sequential method for teachers (practical purpose). The main research was proceeded by a pilot study. In 2005 I wrote the program "I like reading" for 6 year old children who start learning how to read. In the program I used a simultaneous-sequential method. The program was administered in two preschools. The teachers used the new method to teach reading as well as stimulating the preschoolers' psychomotor development (visual perception, auditory perception, pronunciation, impersonal communication, gross and small motor skills, thinking and memory). I investigated the effects of the program with a reading test and speech assessment. The findings showed that children's linguistic competence was increased. In the main research I applied the experimental method. I chose a simultaneous group technique - with a control group without an initial measurement. I wrote a pedagogical innovation. It included curriculum details, lesson plans and the test checking the ability to read. I implemented the program in the experimental group. The innovation was accepted by the Board of Education in Katowice and lasted for four years (2007-2011). At the end, I compared the development of children from the innovational group with the control group. In this group the children were acquiring the linguistic skills by the phonetic method. The choice of an experimental preschool was deliberate. Familiarity of the teachers with Cieszyńska's method was an important factor. I adopted the role of a methodical consultant for teachers. However, the assignment of children to groups was random. The entering criteria in two preschools were the same. I applied following techniques in my research: interview, document analysis (class and therapy registers), observation (didactical classes, parent meetings), and a survey for teachers. I used the following tools: logopedic test, school readiness test, reading test, auditory perception and lateralization test. In 2011 I performed a final measurement. I then introduced a second stage to my research - making the research longitudinal. In 2013 I found the children tested earlier. They were second grade pupils of primary schools. I conducted a survey among their teachers. In the questionnaire they assessed the level of children's school readiness, the ability to read as welt as how the pupils cope at school in general. I wanted to study the influence of early reading on the children's school success too. The research results showed that the children's not only linguistic skills from the innovational group were better. They reached a higher level of school readiness. They also coped better at school than children from the control group. My conclusion is to introduce an elementary stage of learning to read to preschools. Teaching reading early does not only influence future pupils' school careers but it also shapes their positive attitude towards reading. Forming preschoolers' linguistic school readiness is the most effective prevention of troubles with learning how to read, school problems and illiteracy
