    Anchor-Bolt-Yield-Type Exposed Column-Base under Variable Axial-Force and Bending

    application/pdfAn experimental study on non-slip-type exposed column bases proposed by the authors, subjected both to cyclic horizontal loadings and to variable axial forces in the limits of compression, was made to make clear bending moment characteristics of the column bases and to propose models of restoring force characteristics. In addition, the same experiments on conventional exposed column bases were conducted to show the effectiveness of the proposed column bases. The following conclusions were drawn from the experimental results: 1)The restoring force characteristics of the non-slip-type column bases become linearfrom-origin-type under variable axial forces, 2)The column bases sustain the self-centering performance reducing residual deformation of a building after an earthquake.departmental bulletin pape

Therefore, some problems occure, one of which is for them to be unable to understand mechanics in education of civil engineering. They are not able to image the concrete mechanics. We try to make and operate the experience-typed educational tools for the basic structure engineering as one of the methods of solving the problem. Four kinds of tools are made and are used in “Practice of Urban Engineering”, which is given the fourth semestar. These are as follows: (1)the stress and the strain, (2)the section shape and the deflection, (3)the three dimensional image for the bridge, and (4)the structure of the supporting point.     An Expedient Evaluation Method for Warp Deformation Behavior of Laminated Beam Consisting of Viscoelastic Materials in Cooling Process

    application/pdfThis paper is intended as a proposal for a simplified evaluation equation that simply predicts the warp deformation behavior arising when the thermal load was given to a viscoelastic laminated beam consisting of epoxy resin and FR-4 substrate. The validity of the equation was verified by comparing its solution with the exact solution based on linear viscoelastic theory and the experimental values. The proposed simplified evaluation equation is composed of the glass transition temperature, the rubber transition temperature, the elastic modulus and the linear thermal expansion coefficient of the component material. In this study, it was clarified that the warp deformation behavior of the viscoelastic laminated beam could be simply predicted by using the proposed simplified evaluation equation where the elastic modulus is divided into three regions such as glassy state, leathery state and rubbery state.departmental bulletin pape

    Surveillance Study on Traffic Convenience of Public Traffic in Housing Complex

And the demand for traffic varies with the city size of Japan, thetis, the scale of a metropolitan area, a sphere of the regional central city, a local metropolitan area, and the city. It is roughly divided into an automobile traffic and public traffic. In addition, the central area of Hiroshima City located in the sphere of the regional central city has a geographical feature that is surrounded by hills, and consists of the delta, and the proportion of a smooth part is small. Therefore, a lot of slope residential quarters where hills were cut open exist in the suburb. However, it is clear in the public transportation facility in an inside advanced by aging and the present slope residential quarter that local populace’s traffic circumstance will become inconvenient in the future. In this research, the convenience of public traffic in a slope housing complex is investigated from two about a public, traffic side and the user side. The target region has about 11000 people and a very large-scale slope residential quarter, where we made the questionnaire survey concerning traffic for the hill housing complex Misuzugaoka. Misuzugaoka understands the traffic realities of the resident of the hill housing complex, and consideration concerning resident’s traffic is understood by this questionnaire survey. The purpose of our research is to show what the residents at Misuzugaoka showed do for the present traffic of the hill housing complex and what traffic showed be appropriate for the region, based on the questionnaire survey. Moreover, the present public transportation facility easy for senior citizen to use. Then, Misuzugaoka objectively shows whether the service level of the public transportation facility in the hill housing complex is appropriate according “Arc View GIS”.departmental bulletin pape

The aim of this paper is to evaluate the service level of public transportation in Itsukaichi district of Hiroshima City, which is a commuter town.
