博物館展示をよりよく理解するための 2 つの教育プログラム実践
Get PDF展示とは、展示企画者と展示見学者の間のコミュニケーションである。この観点から、都留文科大学における博物館展示論の授業で、情報の送り手（展示企画者）と受け手（展示見学者）の双方を体験する2 つの教育プログラムを実施した。
① 展示見学ポートフォリオ作りでは、写真によって可視化された自己および他の受講生の展示見学パターンを把握した。その結果、様々な見学パターンに対応した展示のあり方を考えることができた。
② 情報の送り手が伝えたいことを展示で表現するマイミュージアムづくりでは、①の結果をもとに、「＊＊＊を伝えたい展示」の企画作製をめざした。作られた展示作品は、おもしろさ・美しさだけでなく、意図の明解さが表れるものが多かった。
以上より、2 つの教育プログラムを緊密に結びつけて実施した結果、受講生には、展示見学と企画作製を展示企画者の立場で一貫して行えるような実践力が養われることが明らかになった。departmental bulletin pape

Get PDF抄録：本稿は、アングロ・インディアン作家ラドヤード・キプリングの代表的小説『キム』のパスティーシュとして知られ、チベットの人権活動家であり作家でもあるジャムヤン・ノルブの小説『シャーロック・ホームズの失われた冒険』が、キプリングやコナン・ドイルのテクストを重層的に、しかも巧みに取り込むことで、20世紀（とりわけ1950年）以降、中国共産党がチベットに対して政治的圧力を強くかけ続けることに向けられた批判的テクストであることを焦点化し議論することを目的とする。そのために、ノルブ、キプリング、ドイルの各テクストにおいて露呈される近現代における国家間の政治的関係や対立を、チベット近現代史に照らし合わせながら綿密に分析、検討していく。この手順を通して、ノルブやキプリング、およびドイルのテクストについてこれまで検討が加えられることのなかった側面を炙り出したい。departmental bulletin pape
Language evolution, semantic domains, and the computation delusion
Get PDFWhile the Chomskyan revolution has delivered many benefits, the preoccupation with scientificsounding explanations centered on linear computation may also have taken us down one or two wrong rabbit-holes. This is true not just for mainstream theoretical linguistic research but for all language-related endeavors. There are severe problems with the Chomskyan account, which is now the minority position. It is therefore time to consider the possibility that computational accounts involving abstract, discrete syntactic features will prove an inadequate basis for language-related research and practice. Our focus moves, once more, away from syntax to cultural and historical meaning. Just as language evolution relates to the evolution of bipedal apes over millions of years, language structure relates to domain-general cognitive processes that continue to develop in the cultural experience of the individual. Evidence is offered that the influence of certain kinds of local semantic domains has not been sufficiently acknowledged, perhaps because doing so undermines the institutional fantasy that language may be adequately characterized in terms of linear code. We stand at a crossroads, at a time of true paradigm shift. For language-related studies in general, we will see a movement away from the view that language is primarily a syntactically computational system, the accidental product of random mutation, primarily of importance in relation to abstract thought processes, with communication a mere by-product. We will increasingly come to credit the invention of language to our bipedal hominin ancestors, with the instinct to cooperate and communicate meaning as the central driving dynamic. Language is our most important tool, for thinking as well as communication.
It has made it possible to evolve to the point where we are masters of the world, able to forge a bright future or lay waste to all around us. Understanding the evolution of language will help us understand who we are and where we are going.departmental bulletin pape
農産物輸入規制緩和措置後の卸売市場流通の地域的変動―ユリの球根輸入と切花流通に着目して―
Get PDF輸入規制緩和措置後における卸売市場流通の地域的変動について、生産財である種苗類と消費財になる製品との生産流通の相互関係に着目し、ユリの球根輸入と切花流通を例に、需給変動、市場規模、市場間格差をもとに明らかにした。事例の中央卸売市場では、ユリ市場の成長期（ⅱ期：1990～1998年）から停滞期（ⅲ期：1999～2007年）にかけて、外国産球根を主に使用した切花に対する需要が、大規模市場で一層平準化へと向かい、特定の市場で高く維持された。市場を取り巻く地域ごとの需要の違いが、市場間の特徴的な差異を生み出したと考えられる。規制緩和はまず新品種の市場規模の拡大につながり、続いて新品種とは異なる国内品種にも影響を及ぼすようになった。国内産球根を主に使用した切花では、ⅱ期に卸売数量の少ない市場ほど減少幅が大きく、大規模市場では維持または増加する月がみられ、ⅲ期に市場によっては卸売単価の低位化や低位平準化が表れるなど、市場間で格差が広がった。生産財（球根）の輸入規制緩和にともなう消費財（切花）の流通の地域差の発生と市場間格差の実態が浮き彫りとなった。departmental bulletin pape

農産物の地域ブランド化研究の動向と展望
Get PDF本研究では、農業経済学分野と地理学分野における農産物の地域ブランド化研究を整
理し、成果と課題をまとめる。そして、地理学的アプローチにより今後の研究視点を明
らかにすることを目的とする。農業経済学分野では、ブランドの価値の測定や成立条件
の解明から、ブランド化の実態や経済的効果が明らかにされていた。一方、地理学分野
では、地域特性や地域差、空間スケールに注目し、実態と課題、生産者や地域への経済
的効果が明らかにされていた。研究課題は、多様な地域ブランドを類型化し、成立条件
の一般化を行うこと、経済面以外の地域社会や環境へのブランド効果を明らかにするこ
とであった。これらの成果を踏まえ、地理的視点による今後の研究アプローチを4点あ
げる。1点目は地域的差異に注目すること、2点目は社会関係に注目すること、3点目は
地域スケールに注目しブランド認証の効果を検証すること、4点目は地域社会や地域環
境に注目しブランド化の波及効果を検証することである。これらの地理学的視点により、
研究課題を明らかにしていくことが、増加する地域ブランド化の現象を捉える上で重要

Verbal Morphology and the Evolution of Language
Get PDFThe world’s languages show great variety and there has been a loss of faith in the idea that they all have the basic structure. Our suggestion here is that they are indeed rather different in structure, but that the end result in terms of meaning is essentially parallel across the world's languages. In other words, there is no Universal Grammar but there is a fundamental psychic unity among human beings, the result of millions of years of evolution. We compare and contrast five languages to demonstrate this main point, focusing on verbal morphology, the
contribution of tense in particular. We treat language as a fully symbolic sign system, with phonology, syntax, and semantics. Therefore, we have no need to make reference to movement operations. Similarly, we have no need for functional categories such as tense or agreement phrases. As we have no such movement operations, we do not claim that differences in structure can be made to disappear. These languages are fundamentally different in structure, but they are all working towards the same final goal, the expression of meaning, in an attempt to invoke a mental simulation by the listener.departmental bulletin pape
