樹冠上部摘果時期の違いが‘青島温州’の果実品質

Summary 
　Effects of different time of top one-third thinning on fruit quality and flowering 
were investigated in mature trees of ‘Aoshima’ satsuma mandarin（Citrus unshiu 
Marc.）, a late maturing cultivar. Top one-third thinning was conducted on July 23, 
August 20 and September 20 in 2007. All fruit were removed in top one-third portions 
of the tree crown. Conventional thinning was conducted on July 23 as control. Brix in 
the fruit juice was the greatest in September-thinned trees and lowest in the control. 
The later the time of top one-third thinning, the more increased Brix was obvious. 
Titratable acidity was lower in the top one-thinned trees compared with the conven-
tional thinned trees but there was no difference among top one-third thinned trees. 
Thus, the Brix/acid ratio was greater in the top one-third thinned trees. The fruit size 
was largest in the control and became smaller as the thinning time became later. The 
flowering in the following spring was greatest in the conventional July-thinned trees 
whereas lowest in September thinned trees.
緒　　　　　言
　ウンシュウミカンにおける隔年結果現象は1年ごとに豊作年と不作年を繰り返し、価格の変動や果
実品質の低下を引き起こし生産者にとって大きな問題となる４）。そのため隔年結果を防止し、毎年安
定した高品質果実生産を行う必要がある。
　樹冠上部摘果は、ウンシュウミカンの隔年結果の防止を目的とした栽培技術であり愛媛県を中心に
他県でも普及しつつある。また、樹冠上部摘果当年の果実糖度の上昇と浮皮果の発生を抑えることが
報告されている５）。さらに、樹冠上部の約1/3を全摘果することで収穫作業の効率化という利点を持っ

ている。
　一方で、ウンシュウミカンにおいて９月中旬まで摘果を控え着果負担をかけ、その後仕上げ摘果を
行う後期重点摘果が、果実の糖度を高め、果実品質を向上することが報告されている2）。
　本報告では、隔年結果性の強いウンシュウミカン‘青島温州’４）において７月、８月、９月それぞ
れ時期を変えて樹冠上部摘果処理を行い、果実品質を調査した。また、翌年の花芽量を調査し、最も
適した樹冠上部摘果の処理時期を検討した。
材料および方法
　供試材料には愛媛大学農学部付属農場に栽植されている成木の‘青島温州’の樹を用いた。2007年７
月23日に樹冠上部約1/3を全摘果し７月処理区とした。また、同じ日に従来通りの摘果（日当たりの
悪い樹冠内部、樹の裾の果実を中心に摘果）を行い対照区とした。その後８月20日、９月20日に樹冠
上部摘果を行いそれぞれ８月処理区、９月処理区とした。反復数は４で行った。
　2007年12月３日に収穫し、１樹あたり20個ずつ果実重、糖度、滴定酸度を測定した。果実重は電子
天秤、糖度はデジタル屈折糖度計で測定した。滴定酸度は果汁１mlを0.1N NaOHで中和滴定し、ク
エン酸含量に換算した。
　また、翌年の開花時に１樹当たり10枝について発育枝、有葉花、直花の発生数を調査した。
結果および考察
⑴　果実品質（果実重、糖度、滴定酸度、甘味比）
　　果実重は対照区が最も高くなった。７月処理区よりも処理時期の遅い８月、９月処理区の果実重
が低くなる傾向にあった（第１図）。糖度は９月処理区が最も高くなり、摘果時期が遅いほど上昇
する傾向にある。また、対照区より樹冠上部摘果区はどれも高くなる傾向が見られた（第２図）。
滴定酸度は対照区が最も高く、樹冠上部摘果区では低くなり、時期が遅いほど上昇する傾向が見ら
れるが、８月処理区と９月処理区ではほとんど差が見られない。（第３図）。甘味比（糖度／滴定酸
度）は、対照区より樹冠上部摘果区がどれも高くなっている。７月処理区は、滴定酸度が低かった
ために甘味比がやや高くなっているが、８月処理区と９月処理区ではほとんど差が見られない（第
４図）。

⑵　翌年の着花量
　　発育枝の発生本数は９月処理区で最も多くなったが、対照区と８月処理区で少なくなる傾向が見
られた。一方で、有葉花及び直花数は対照区で最も多く、樹冠上部摘果区より多くなった。樹冠上
部摘果区内では９月処理区で最も少なく、８月処理区の有葉花及び直花数が多くなっている（第１
表）。

　仕上げ摘果時期を遅らせ強い着荷負担をかけると水ポテンシャルが低下し、光合成速度が高まり、
スクロース合成酵素活性やABA含量が増加し、これにより果実への糖集積が進むことが明らかになっ
ている１）。このため、樹冠上部摘果時期を遅らせると果実が水ストレスを受け糖度が上昇したと考え
られる。一方、果実発育期に水ストレスの影響を受けると葉と果実間の水分競合により果実発育が不
良となり肥大が抑制される３）。これらのことから樹冠上部摘果の時期が遅いほど１果実の重さが低く
なり、糖度が上昇する傾向が見られたと思われる。このように、樹冠上部摘果時期を遅らせることに
より果実品質の向上が期待できる。しかし、今回の研究では樹冠上部摘果時期を遅らせることで翌年
の着花量が減少する傾向が見られた。特に糖度が最も上昇した９月処理区では他の処理区に比べ顕著
な減少傾向にあることから、隔年結果の防止は期待できない。今回の実験結果からでは果実品質も向
上し、着花量もある程度確保できる８月頃の実施が最も適しているかもしれない。しかし、さらに詳
細な調査が必要である。

　以上のことから‘青島温州’の果実品質の向上と隔年結果の防止を期待するならばそれらのバランス
を考慮し十分に摘果時期を検討し実施する必要がある。
摘　　　　　要
　成木のウンシュウミカン‘青島温州’において、樹冠上部摘果を７月23日、８月20日、９月20日それ
ぞれに実施し果実品質、翌年の着花量について調査した。７月23日に従来型の摘果をした樹を対照区
とした。糖度は対照区で最も低く、７月、８月、９月摘果の順に高くなった。滴定酸度は対照区に比
べて樹冠上部摘果区で低かったが、樹幹上部摘果区の間では差が見られなかった。甘味比は樹冠上部
摘果樹で高くなった。１果実重は摘果時期が遅いほど小さくなった。また、翌年の着花量については、
対照区で最も多く、樹冠上部摘果時期が遅いほど減少した。

Temporal and Operant Learning Models by Neural System

Abstract: Brain or central nerve system is a kind of information processing system which is differ from artificial 
computer one. A computer system has been made good progress by using the high-speed LSI technology and 
mass storage, however a nerve system has a slow-speed processing neuron and nonlinear element which can 
treats real-time information processing.  In this paper, we discuss about some dynamic or predictive functions 
in a nerve system , and propose models of a pulse neuron model, a temporal learning rule and a operant learning 
method of a neuron network. By using these rule and method, we proposed a temporal sequence associative 
memory network and an optimal action learning process.

Practical numerical simulation of di ractive optical elements

This contribution describes general trend and present status of numerical simulation of di ractive optical
elements and is intended as a tutorial review for the subject. Entire di raction domains based on the
relationship between the element feature size and the wavelength of light are covered, though more pages
are spent for the resonance domain where light must be rigorously treated as electromagnetic wave. This
reects the fact that di ractive optics in the resonance domain is closely related to nanotechnology and
recently attracts much attention in industries.

Effect of Microstructure on Hardness in Metastable  Titanium Alloy

Microstructural evolution and variation of Vickers hardness (Hv) during aging at 673 K in a metastable  Ti 
alloy have been investigated. Value of Hv increases with increasing aging time (t). The value of Hv after aging 
for 37.5 ks is 498. After solution treatment followed by quenching into iced brine, athermal  phase forms. The 
athermal  phase is replaced into isothermal one during aging. The isothermal  phase acts as nucleation site for 
 precipitate, and the number density ( ) and size of precipitates increases with increasing t. The continuous 
incresase in Hv is due to the nucleation of  precipitate at  precipitate. The decrease of distance (d) between 
precipitates with increasing t results in the increase in Hv during aging.

1. Introduction 
 
Metastable  Ti alloys are widely used alloys owing to high specific strength for aerospace structures[1]. 
This kind of alloy contains  stabilizers enough to retain a high-temperature  phase (bcc) to room temperature 
metastably. After solution treatment, aging treatment is often applied to the alloys in order to enhance their 
strength and toughness by forming  precipitates (hcp)[2]-[4]. It has been tried to refine  precipitate through a lot 
of thermo-mechanical treatments[5]-[6]. As one of these treatments, two-step aging is often performed[7]. In 
two-step aging, the first aging is performed at a lower temperature where a fine precipitates of transient phase 
such as hexagonal  phase appear, and then the second aging at a higher temperature where  phase nucleates at

In order to lower the green house effect, it is necessary to lower the weight of cars, so Ti alloys are good 
candidates for automobile materials for high specific strength. TIMETAL®LCB is the alloy developed for 
automobile application to lower the cost of alloy[8]. This alloy consists of inexpensive elements, such as Fe, Mo 
and Al. In this alloy,  phase precipitates as a transient phase[9], but there are few reports about  phase 
precipitation at the  phase. In the present study, effect of microstructural evolution on hardness during aging at 
a temperature where  and  phases form has been investigated. 
 
2. Experimental Procedure 
 
The alloy used was supplied from Titanium Metals Corporation (TIMET) and Nippon Steel Corporation. The 
chemical composition was listed in Table 1. Specimens were cut from the supplied bar, and subjected to solution 
treatment at 1173K for 1.5 ks, followed by quenching into iced brine. After that, the specimens were aged at 
673K for 0.3 to 37.5 ks. Vickers microhardness was measured with weight of 300 g. Microstructure was 
observed by transmission electron microscopes (TEMs). TEMs used were JEM-100CXII, JEM-2000EX and 
JEM-3010 operated at 100, 200 and 300 kV, respectively. High resolution electron microscopy (HREM) was 
performed by JEM-3010. TEM specimens were prepared by mechanical grinding and twin-jet electropolishing at 
100 V and 223 K. The electrolyte was 8%HClO4, 32%C4H9OH and 60%CH3OH in volume. Number density of 
precipitates, , was measured by counting the number of precipitates in a dark field image and evaluating the 
volume of the relevant area. The specimen thickness, t, was evaluated from thickness fringe as follows; The 
value of t of a specimen in the region where the nth dark line of the fringe from the edge of the specimen is seen 
in a bright field image satisfies the following equation,

where eff  is an effective extinction distance. The average distance between the precipitates, d, was evaluated 
from the following equation,

3. Results 
 
3.1  Variations of Vickers Hardness duering Aging 
Figure 1 shows Vickers microhardness (Hv) as a 
function of aging time (t). When a specimen was aged 
at 673K, Hv starts to increase after 0.3 ks, and after that, 
increases gradually to 498 for 37.5 ks. The Hv reaches 
485 for 37.5 ks. 
3.2  TEM Observation 
  Figure 2 shows TEM micrograph taken from 
solution-treated specimen. In the diffraction pattern, 
diffuse streaks derived from athermal  phase are 
observed[9]. It was confirmed that athermal  phase has 
Burgers orientation relationship with  matrix,

{111} //{0001}  and < 011 > //< 0211 > [10]. 
  In the aged specimen at 673 K, isothermal  
phase is identified after aging for 0.3 ks as shown 
in Fig. 3(a). We confirmed this  phase has also 
the same orientation relationship as that of 
athermal  phase as shown in Fig. 2. The 
isothermal  phase grows and  increases during 
aging as shown in Figs. 3(a)-(d). The  of the 
isothermal  phase was measured. By using , 
average distance between the isothermal  
precipitates, d, was evaluated as shown in Fig. 4. 
The value of d decreases with increasing t. In the 
specimen aged at 673 K for 37.5 ks,  phase 
precipitates as shown in Fig. 5. In this figure, the 
areas of the upper right corner were magnified in 
the insets. As shown in the insets, the  phase 
forms at the isothermal  phase. This fact was also 
confirmed by HREM as shown in Fig. 6. In this 
figure,  phase forms at the interface between  
and  phases. Alpha, isothermal  and  phases 
are in the following orientation relationship,  
( 111 )  // (0001)  // ( 2011 ) ,  
( 011 )  // ( 2011 )  // (0001)  and 
( 121 )  // ( 0011 )  // ( 0101 ) .  
Alpha phase has Burgers orientation 
relationship[11] with  matrix. It is noted that  
phase has an orientation relationship with  phase 
as well. 
   
4. Discussion 
   
  The value of Hv increases with increasing t 
during aging at 673 K as shown in Fig. 1. This 
increase in Hv is due to the decrease of d between 
isothermal  precipitates as shown in Fig. 4. It is 
considered that dislocation motion is retarded by 
the  precipitates. This result is in accordance 
with the theory of dispersion hardening, in which 
it is indicated that hardness increases with 
decreasing the spacing between dispersoids. After 
aging at 673 K for 37.5 ks,  phase forms, and Hv 
increases continuously as shown in Figs. 1 and 5.

is because the value of  hardly changes owing to the nucleation of  phase at the interface between isothermal  
and  phases as shown in Fig. 6.

平成19年度（2007年4月～2008年3月）
1　センター全体の活動概況
　2007年度も前年度までの活動を引き継ぎ，重点
研究をはじめ，「まちなか大学」の開催，「プロム
ナード・コンサート」の開催，地域シンポジウム
の開催などに取り組み，学内の地域貢献組織の活
動への助成・後援を行ったほか，道州制などに関
する松山市との共同研究を進めるなどして，地域
の政策や文化に関する研究や地域づくりへの貢献
活動・地域との連携活動を継続してきた。
　2007年度の重点研究は，2006年度からの2ヵ年
計画で「愛媛県南予の地域振興」および「地域の
文化資源の再開発」の研究を進めてきた。この研
究成果は，近いうちにさまざまな形で公表される
予定である。また，松山市と共同で進めてきた「道
州制をめぐる松山市への影響と効果に関する研
究」は2006年末まで続けられ，最終報告書のまと
めを作成しているところである。
　地域貢献・地域連携活動の一環として，消費者
講座など「mitまちなか大学」を合計10回開催し
た。そのほか，今治市の高齢者向け市民講座「こ
とぶき大学」への講師派遣も行った。また，愛媛
県との連携協定に基づき，法文学部の協力を得
て，県民向けの「消費者講座」と法文学部生向け
の「法学侍講（消費者問題講義）」を合わせて開
講し，多くの県民および学生が受講し，好評を得
た。昨年から研究開発してきた「ぎょしょくカー
ド」の利用調査も開始し，多くの自治体・学校関
係者から問い合わせが続いている。このカード等
を活用して，宇和島市のサテライト事業の一環と
して，イベントヘの参加，小学生向けの食育講座
の開講なども行った。昨年度末に連携協定を結ん
だ「まちづくり松山」との連携により，今年度は
法文学部の学生による松山市中央商店街の夏の夜
市への出店などを進め，若者の地域活動への参加
を図った。
　2008年1月には，牽媛県出身の映画人・伊藤大
輔に関するシンポジウム「伊藤大輔の世界」を開
催し，戦前の映画を上演するなどして多くの市民
を集め，好評だった。プロムナード・コンサート
は今年度2回，「ダンス・コレクション」と「べ
一ゼンドルファー・ピアノ・コンサート」を開催

2　重点研究活動
　2－1　愛媛県南予の地域振興1地場産業とま
　　　　ちっくり
　本研究グループでは，地域経済の落ち込みが懸
念されている南予地域の現状と課題を調査・分析
し，高齢化・過疎化の進行する中で地場産業の振
興策やまちづくり，地域に根ざした食育の推進な
ど，地域振興の具体的方策についての議論を行っ
てきた。
　2007年度は，9月（伊方町）と2月（宇和島市・
鬼北町）に南予地域の現地調査を主要なメンバー
の参加により共同で実施し，公開研究会を3回開
催した。また，各メンバーの個別テーマによる調
査は年間を通じて継続的に行い，愛前町・宇和島
市等を対象に研究をすすめ，その成果を報告書と
してとりまとめたほか，愛前町をフィールドとし
た食育実践については書籍として刊行した（『ぎ
ょしょく教育」筑波書房）。

　2－2　地域の文化資源の再開発：その理論と
　　　　実践
　愛媛の地域は，古来，豊かな自然と文化に恵ま
れ，また創造的営為に富んだ幾多の人物を輩出し
てきた。・しかしながら，グローバリズムの急激な
進展により，多様であったはずの地域文化の画一
化が進み，文化の貧困と枯渇を心配しなければな
らない事態となっている。地域の豊かな文化資源
を再開発し，その普遍的価値を共有するにはどう
すれば占いか。本研究は，その方法と可能1性を3
つのグループにより，理論と実践の両面から，切
りひらく。
　2－2－1　多文化共存と地域
　第ユ研究グループ（地域創成原論チーム）は，
地域創成の原理論の学際的研究を推進している。
本年度は，地域において異質であることの権利と
共存の条件を，政治，法，文芸，福祉，経済など
の視点から複眼的に考察する研究の2年目であ
る。この研究を通して，地域の固有の価値とは何
か，あるいは地域の輝きを失わせている真の要因
は何かという問いに迫りたい。

　2－2－2南予文化再評価のための総合的プロジ
　　　　ェクト
　【内容】一般にはあまり知られてはいないが，
南予には一途な情熱で人生を貫いた人々が多い。
たとえば，簿野道明は日本の近代漢文教育の父と
いってよい偉人である。中国という文化大国の理
解のためには，国民的な漢文教育が不可欠である
として，多くの漢文教科書や訳解を作ったほか，
『字源』というすぐれた漢和辞典を刊行，今も根
強い支持を得ている。

　また『鉄道唱歌』で知られる大和田建樹，嵐寛
寿郎主役の『鞍馬天狗』，片岡千恵蔵の『宮本武
蔵・二刀流開眼』，阪東妻三郎の『王将』，『竜馬
がゆく』をべ一スにした『幕末』などの映画監督
伊藤大輔，末広鉄腸やその孫の恭雄というあのお
魚博士がいたり，それらに開明学校，平賀源内，
芭蝉の母，劇場，芸能，和歌，高野長英なども加
わり多彩かつユニークな文化が南予にはある。当
該研究プロジェクトは，これらの文化の再発見も
しくは発掘を目的として展開するものである。
　【成果】各分野については，大和田建樹，大谷
文楽，簡野道明，平賀源内，久保　喬，伊藤大輔
についての調査が進められている。
　そのうち，簡野道明と平賀源内については，加
藤国安「近代漢文教育のバイオニアー簡野道明の
愛媛時代」（愛媛大学プロジェクトチーム編『え
ひめ　知の創造』，愛媛新聞社刊，2007年），福田
安典「平賀源内の誕生一愛媛の視点から」（同上）
として発表されている。
　伊藤大輔については，2007年度地域創成研究セ
ンター主催のシンポジウムとして「伊藤大輔の世
界」を，立命館大学の冨田美香氏，愛媛で映画関
係で活躍されている野中　晃氏（松山キネマ倶楽
部），田部　司氏（シネマニア宇和島）らを招璃
して2008年ユ月に開催した。
　【新収資料】大洲藩の加藤家は歴代，絵画に造
詣が深い。特に加藤文麗が画業に長けていたこと
は愛媛ではなく，全国的に知られている。後年に
高名な絵師として知られた谷文男も，当初はこの
文麗に教えを請うている。地域創成研究センター
では，その文麗の作品を新たに収集したので，あ
わせてここに報告する（写真参照）。

　2－2－3愛媛の音楽と美術一地域芸術文化のア
　　　　クチュアリティ
　第3研究グループ（壽　卓三，高安啓介，千代
田憲子，岸　啓子）による「地域文化のアクチュ
アリティ」研究は，2007年度で3年目を迎えた。
今年度は美術（映像）と音楽が半ば独立的に活動
したが，その間研究会等での意見交換を通して作
品・調査の改善に貢献し，最終的にはグループ全
体で成果を共有する形をとった。
　1．スクリーンセイバー制作に向けて
　2006年度のDVD制作による映像（化）研究の
発展としてスクリーンセイバー制作を試行した。

PC付属のスクリーンセイバーは若者向きが多
く，個人で制作する人は少数で，違和感を持ちな
がらそのまま使用しているケースもあり，目にす
る時間・回数に反して意識化されず，省みら札で
いない等の現状から，質の高いものを提供する意
味は大きいと判断した。自作写真をもとに千代田
氏がスクリーンセイバーを数セット試作し，研究
会での意見交換後若干の修正を施して改編試用版
を制作した。現在第3グループではそのスクリー
ンセイバーを各自PCで使用し，完成度と効果を
最終チェック中である。このプロセス終了後，制
作者千代田氏の記名付きで地域創成研究センター
HPにアップし，フリーのスクリーンセイバーと
して大学内外での利用に供する予定である。
　2．四国の音楽活動一演奏活動調査
　今年度の地域の音楽調査は，四国4県のクラシ
ック音楽演奏会・活動について実施した。その際
対象を地元の音楽家・演奏団体主体に限定し，四
国圏外からの巡回・引越し公演は除外した。資料
収集は，雑誌・文書・パンフレット・ホールや会
館発行の催し物案内・月例コンサート情報などの
印刷物とインターネット検索により，新聞のイン
ターネット版も使用した。調査の結果以下5点が
4県共通して注目された。
　ユ．四国内のプロオーケストラは瀬戸フィルハ
　　ーモニー交響楽団（拠点香川，NPO法人）の
　　みであり，プロオケ成立には経済的・文化
　　的・音楽的基盤がおそらく厳しいこと。
　2．4県の主要な音楽（兼）用ホールは活況を
　　呈し，また，徳島の第22回国民文化祭，愛媛
　　県民文化祭でも音楽は重要な役割を果たして
　　いること。
　3．プロに匹敵する実力と評価されるアマチュ
　　ア音楽団体も多数あり，プロ（個人：音大
　　卒，音楽教師）が演奏活動の場を求めてアマ
　　チュア団体に所属する例も結構あること。
　4．地元アマチュア団体と国内外の一流演奏家
　　との共演が極めて多く，外国の同傾向の団体
　　とのアマチュア団体間の交流や共演例も複数
　　あること。
5．地域のオペラ団体・声楽団体のオペラ上演
活動が各県で盛り上がっていること。
　　調査結果の一部は，文化庁支援事業『日本
演奏年鑑2008』（日本演奏家連盟出版）に項
　目「四国」として掲載される予定である。
