ウンカ・ヨコバイ類は吸汁性昆虫であり、そのうちトビイロウンカやセジ
ロウンカ、ヒメトビウンカ、タイワンツマグロヨコバイ、クロスジヨコバイ
、ツマグロヨコバイは古来より稲作に多大な被害を与えてきた。これら 6 種
の害虫はいずれもイネを寄主植物とするものの、それぞれの種によりその寄
主範囲は異なる。トビイロウンカやタイワンツマグロヨコバイはイネのみを
寄主とする単食性であり、ツマグロヨコバイはイネ科植物を幅広く寄主植物
とする広食性である。一方、セジロウンカやヒメトビウンカ、クロスジヨコ
バイは数種から十数種のイネ科植物を寄主とする狭食性に属すと言われてい
る。これら寄主範囲の異なる吸汁性昆虫がイネをどのように認識するのかと
いう疑問が未だ解明されてないことから、申請者は、 probing 行動刺激物質
に着目し、その解明に取り組んだ。

p-coumaroyl)glucoside},  5 ʹ  (Isovitexin-2″-O-β-glucoside) ,  A  ( Isoscoparin 2″-O-
glucoside) ,  6 (Luteolin 7-O-glucoside) ,  7 {Isoscoparin 2″-O-(6‴-(E) -
feruloyl)glucoside},  8-1  {Isoscoparin 2″-O-(6‴- (E)-p-coumaroyl)glucoside},  8-2 
{Isovitexin 2″-O-(6‴-(E)- feruloyl)glucoside}の計 14 種類のグリコシルフラボ
ノイドであることを明らかとし、狭食性のヒメトビウンカやクロスジヨコバ
イ、セジロウンカに関する probing 行動刺激物質として 9 種のグリコシルフ
ラボノイド {3 ,  5-1 ,  5-2 ,  5-3 ,  7 ,  8-1 ,  8-2 ,  9-1 (Tricin 5-O-glucoside) ,  9-2 (Tricin  
7-O-rut inoside) ,  10 (Tricin 7-O-glucoside)}、 4 種のグリコシルフラボノイド (A ,  
7 ,  8-1 ,  8-2)、 4 種のグリコシルフラボノイド（ 5-2,  5-3,  7,  9-1）であることを
それぞれ明らかとした。これらの結果から、寄主範囲と probing 行動刺激物
質の質と量が密接に関係しており、ウ ン カ・ヨ コ バイ類 に とり、 probing 行動
刺激物質は寄主認識物質としての役割を担っている可能性を明確にした。  
このように申請者は、ウンカ・ヨコバイ類の probing 行動刺激物質の全容
解明に取り組み、その解明に成功するとともに、これらがウンカ・ヨコバイ
類にとり寄主認識物質である可能性まで言及しており、学術的にも極めて高
く評価されるものと思われる。  
本論文に関する公開審査会は平成 28 年 8 月 6 日、香川大学農学部で開催
され、申請者の論文発表と適切な質疑応答が行われた。引き続き行われた学
位論文審査会で本論文の内容を慎重に審議し、審査委員全員一致して博士（
農学）の学位を授与するに値するものと判定した。

Orchids are the most fascinating, varied and beautiful of all flowers belong to the family Orchidaceae. Among 
orchids, Dendrobium occupies a foremost position and Dendrobium kingianum, commonly known as Pink Rock 
orchid, native to eastern Australia. Propagation of orchids is a complex process, which involves the 
environmental (structural & functional) and physiological changes, and may get influenced by the internal and 
external signaling factors. Environmental factors such as temperature, photoperiod, light quality, light intensity, 
humidity, plant growth regulators and gaseous environment affect physiological processes and may induced 
oxidative stress in plants, which are critical to micropropagation success. Thus, this research studied the overall 
aspects of improving production of PLBs and tolerance capability of Dendrobium kingianum PLBs under 
different environmental factors and different chemicals. 
In Chapter I, temperature, different light and carbohydrate sources were used on organogenesis through 
PLBs culture of Dendrobium kingianum. In our study on temperature, the highest number of PLBs (5.1/explant) 
were found from the medium which were kept in 24°C (24hr) which was significantly different with very high 
and very low temperature. All high temperature above 35 °C inhibited of both PLBs formation and fresh weight 
of PLBs. Recently, LEDs as a new light source have drawn considerable interest as an alternative light 
source.The results of this study  revealed  that, after four weeks of culture, the average number of PLBs  per 
explants was maximum(12.3)  under  blue LED and the minimum (8.4) was under white fluorescent lamp 
whereas the highest number of shoots (2.6)  and fresh weight was recorded under red LED and was 
significantly different with other LEDs except white light. Blue LED could be best light source for D.kingianum. 
Disaccharide (trehalose) was used as an alternative of sucrose on modified MS medium and the results of this 
experiment revealed that the maximum number of PLBs (13.5) and shoot(1.9) were  found in the medium 
containing 5g/L trehalose combined with 15g/L sucrose . Another experiment was done to see the effects of 5g/L 
trehalose used as pulse treatment and highest number of PLBs (19.4) were found in the medium where PLBs 
were treated in two days which are significant with control. PLBs formation rate showed 100% at blue and red 
LED light treatments whereas shoot formation was highest(3.8) at red LED light. These results suggest that 
trehalose can be good carbon source in plant tissue culture. In chapter II, The effects of various types and 
concentration of auxin and cytokinin on organogenesis in PLBs were investigated. The optimal growth regulators 
c for highest PLBs development was 1 mg/L IAA (13.1 PLBs/ explant) and PLBs formation was 100%. The 
highest number of shoot was found in the medium containing 0.1 mg/L TDZ (1.7 shoots/explant) and maximum 
fresh was found in 1 mg/L IAA (0.311 g). In our studies, the highest number of PLBs (13.1) was recorded in the 
media containing 0.1 mg/L BAP combined with 1 mg/L Ethrel and was significantly different with control (8.1) 
and other treatments. The another study results suggest that low concentrations of Ethrel (1mg/L ) with 
comperatively long duration dipping (90min) increased PLBs, shoots formation and fresh weight compare with

control treatment but the best result found from PLBs dipped for 30min in10mg/L Ethrel in D. kingianum. In case 
of ACC and STS treatments, the highest number of PLBs (12.9) was recorded in the media containing 0.1 mg/L 
ACC combined with 0.01 mg/L STS and that was significantly different with control (5.1). Increase in fresh 
weight showed higher values in same combination. These results suggest that ethrel  act as plant growth 
regulator on organogenesis of PLBs in D. kingianum. In Chapter III, one study was to evaluate the effect of water 
stress using polyethylene glycol (PEG) in PLBs of Dendrobium kingianum. PEG has been used in vitro to induce 
water stress in plants (Ruf et al., 1967; Kaufman & Eckard, 1971). PEG stimulates water stress in cultured plant 
cells in the same way it does in the cells of intact plants. The highest percentage of PLB formation rate 93.3% 
was observed at 0.5 g/L PEG where PLBs dipped 1hr and 2 hrs but the highest number of PLBs was 6.9/explants 
was maximum at concentration of 1mg/L whereas PLBs treated for 1 hr. The highest number of shoot was 
2.6/explant indicated on the medium whereas PLBs dipped in PEG at 5 g/L for 2 hrs. No significant change in 
fresh weights was recorded as a result of PEG pretreatment and PLBs.  PLBs of Dendrobium kingianum can 
tolerate short durated water stress. Lysozymes are enzyme, also known as muramidase or N-acetylmuramide 
glycanhydrolase, are glycoside hydrolases. Lysozyme, successfully worked as a plant growth regulator in PLBs 
culture of D. kingianum. Dipping (PLBs) into 30 minutes at lysozyme aqueous solution, 0.1 mg/l lysozyme 
significantly increased the number of PLB formation of Dendrobium kingianum. In chapter IV, The effects of 
K-NAA, NAG and 5-ALA at different concentrations with modified MS medium under white fluorescent tube 
was studied. The results of this study indicated that the application of K-NAA and NAG at low concentration (0.1 
g/L) increased average number of PLBs, shoots and their fresh weight. In case of 5-ALA, PLBs formation rate 
was 100% at every concentration and the highest number of PLBs (21.4) was recorded at concentration of 
0.1mg/L 5-ALA. While the highest number of shoots (4.0/explant) and the % of shoot formation (86.7) were 
observed at concentration of 1mg/L 5-ALA. A comparative study of effective K-NAA, 5-ALA and NAG found 
that 5-aminolevulinic acid was the best to enhance both the PLBs induction and shoot formation of D. kingianum. 
The experiment was done to see the effects of BA and HA9 and the results revealed that the highest number of 
PLBs (17.5) was recorded in the medium containing 0.1 mg/L HA9 and the maximum number of shoots (3.6) and  
percentage of shoot formation rate (66.7) and highest fresh weight (0.24gm) was observed on the medium 
supplemented with 1 mg/L HA9. Another study was undertaken to establish an in vitro culture medium 
composition by determine the effect of various types and concentration of biopolysaccharides on organogenesis 
in PLBs. Hyaluronic acid(HA) is a naturally occurring biopolymer which serves important biological functions in 
bacteria and higher animals including humans. On the other hand, sodium alginate is a natural marine 
polysaccharide that comprises from 30 to 60% of brown algae (on dry weight basis). It is composed of two types 
of Uronic acid: Mannuronic acid unit (M) and Guluronic acid unit (G).  In case of HA9, the highest number of 
PLBs (15.2) was recorded in the medium containing 0.1 mg/L .Meanwhile, in combined treatment, only low 
concentration of HA9 and alginate increased the number of PLBs per explants whereas high concentration 
increased the number of shoots and fresh weight significantly compared with control. The best response for 
produced the highest number of PLBs was recorded for the medium containing 0.01 mg/L sodium alginate (23.6 
PLBs per explant). The effects of jasmonates on plant growth are varied and include storage organ formation, 
induction of plant defenses against  biotic and abiotic stresses and growth inhibition in tissues bsuch as roots and 
young  shoots. In this study, Me-JA treated with different light spectral significantly reduced the number of 
PLBs per explant as well as in the percentage of PLBs formation and also decreased in fresh weight of PLBs of 
Dendrobium kingianum when compared with the treatment without Me-JA. After 28 days of culture, the 
inhibition rate was higher in red LED compared to blue LED. Information gained from this study shows that 
Me-JA act as growth inhibitor for dendrobium kingianum micropropagation of different  LED light. One 
experiment was done to see the effects of HA12 and HA20 on organogenesis of PLBs in D. kingianum. HA is 
kind of biotic elicitors, has been one of the most effective for enhancing secondary metabolite production  in

plant tissue culture (Li and Jian, 2006) and elicits systemic resistance in cucumber, tomato and pepper (Park et al., 
2008).  The best response for enhanced the percentage of PLBs formation and producing the highest number of 
PLBs per explant was recorded for the medium containing 0.01 mg l-1 HA20, on average 10.2 PLBs per explant 
within 35 days. In case of HA12, PLBs formation was 100% at low concentration. Highest percentage of shoot 
formation and number of shoot per explants were also recorded in the medium with 0.01mg/L HA12, on which 
with an average of 2.2 shoots per explants. The maximum of fresh weigh of PLBs also was highest in medium 
containing in the same concentration (0.297 g FW). This study indicated that lower concentration of HA12 and 
HA20 was most effective to PLBs induction and shoot development. HA20 was less effective for PLBs  and 
shoot development in comparison to HA12 except 0.01mg/L HA20  and the medium without any plant growth 
regulator.  This study indicated that lower concentration of HA12 and HA20 was most effective to PLBs 
induction and was also effective for shoot development. 
In vitro propagation by using phytohormones both from natural substance and synthetic ones at high 
concentrations and long periods is known to cause malformation in Dendrobium as a result flowering inhibited. 
The other disadvantages of using synthetic hormones are the additional costs, the inhibitory effect on shoot 
regeneration and the increased mutation rate amongst the plantlets produced. The use of elicitors/ 
biopolysaccharides as a plant gowrh regulator for orchid plants has attracted considerable interest in recent years 
because of it is widely available and generally viewed as a safe material for humans and the environment. The 
key findings of this study was successfully achieved that without phytohormone, organogenesis of PLBs in 
orchid tissue culture occurred and Ethrel, HA , NAG, sodium alginate and 5-ALA act as a plant growth regulators 
compared with BA and K-NAA and it helps to regenerate new PLB and  shoot  in Dendrobium kingianum 
within short period of time without producing any malformation and mutation. Besides these LEDs can be used 
as an alternative light source for in vitro propagation.

The medical functions of plants had been used for rescue diseases from the very 
beginning of human history. In this thesis, two kinds of plants had been evaluated their 
bioactivities respectively. 
In chapter 2, a plant from Kochi has been researched for its tyrosinase-inhibition 
activity and the bio-active compounds have been isolated. Diplomorpha sikokiana, a 
plant species from the Thymelaeaceae family is widely distributed in Japan and is used 
for making Japanese paper. In part I, I found that the methanol extract of D. sikokiana 
showed tyrosinase-inhibition activity and therefore three compounds, 
3-(2,4-dihydroxyphenyl)propionic acid (DDPA), caffeic acid and syringic acid were 
isolated by bioassay guided separation. Of these compounds, DDPA was the main active 
compound and the others were stabilizers to the activity of DDPA.  
In Part II, I evaluated the synergistic effect on tyrosinase-inhibition activity with 
DDPA and L-ascorbic acid (Vitamin C). The results indicated that the synergistic effect 
was significant on tyrosinase inhibition. The value of IC50 was also decreased to 1/10 
compared with the single compound. Since L-ascorbic acid has multi-bioactivities, the 
results firstly suggest the synergy effect with L-ascorbic acid and DDPA could be used 
on medical and cosmetic fields.  
In chapter 3, a Chinese traditional medicine has been studied for Angiotensin 
I-converting enzyme inhibitory activity. The Chinese medicinal herb Trichosanthes 
kirilowii Maxim. Roots (Radix Trichosanthis), which has been used clinically in China 
to treat hydatidiform moles, trophoblastic carcinomas, and ectopic pregnancies, and to 
interrupt early and midtrimester pregnancies. In this study, two kinds of gluco-amino

acid compounds, Nα–(1-deoxy-D-glucose-1-yl)-L-citrulline and 
Nδ–(1-deoxy-D-glucose-1-yl)-L-arginine, have been isolated and synthesized. The IC50 
of Nα–(1-deoxy-D-glucose-1-yl)-L-citrulline and Nδ–(1-deoxy-D-glucose-1-yl)-L-arginine 
were 0.12 mg/mL and 0.65 mg/mL. It is the first time to develop a new application of 
Radix Trichosanthis on ace-inhibitor and two kinds of gluco-amino acid compounds 
were proved to have an ace-inhibitor activity. The molecular was small and only one 
amino-acid was consisted which suggested that it could be designed for an oral 
administration.

世界の多くの生物資源について、それらの生理活性はまだ十分には評価されていない。
一方、人の病気の治療に天然から抽出した物質を使用することに注目が集まっている。天
然の薬用物質は植物や内生菌を含む菌類からも得られる。また、それらの物質の生産は組
織培養法によっても向上させることができる。本研究は、温帯産木本植物およびその内生
菌が生産する生理活性物質を単離し、その生理活性を評価するとともに、植物の組織培養
法による生理活性物質の生産性を向上させることについて検討した。  
まず始めに、Elaeocarpus sylvestris（ホルトノキ）、Distylium racemosum（イスノキ）等温
帯産木本植物 14 種について、それらの抗酸化活性および α-グルコシダーゼ阻害活性につい
て調べた。14 種の植物の葉をメタノールで抽出して得たメタノール抽出物を用いて、４種
の抗酸化試験（DPPH radical scavenging assay, reducing power assay, hydrogen peroxide assay, 
β-carotene bleaching assay）および１種の α-グルコシダーゼ阻害活性試験によりそれらの活
性を調べた。その結果、Elaeocarpus sylvestris が最も高い抗酸化活性を示した。一方、α-グ
ルコシダーゼ阻害活性については、Distylium racemosum が最も高い活性を示したが、これ
ら２種の植物以外にも Acer mono Maxim および Liquidamabar straciflua も高い活性を示すこ
とを見出した。  
E. sylvestris の葉のメタノール抽出物を抗酸化活性試験（DPPH radical scavenging assay）
を併用しながらシリカゲルカラムクロマトグラフィー、分取薄層クロマトグラフィー（分
取 TLC）を用いて分離し、３種の活性物質（1，2，3）を単離した。それぞれの化合物は機
器分析により、ellagic acid (1), gallic acid (2), methyl gallate (3)と同定した。そして、３種の
化合物の抗酸化能の評価を行い、３種全ての化合物が４種の抗酸化活性試験（DPPH radical 
scavenging activity, reducing power activity, hydrogen peroxide activity, β-carotene bleaching 
activity）で高い活性を示すことを明らかにした。さらに、構造と抗酸化活性の関係を明ら
かにするため、benzoic acid を基本に、14 種の化合物について検討した。その結果、フェノ
ール性水酸基の数と位置、特にオルトおよびパラ位のフェノール性水酸基が抗酸化活性発
 
 
現に重要であることを見出した。なお、methyl gallate については、高い抗酸化活性だけで
なく弱い α-グルコシダーゼ阻害活性も示した。  
次に、E. sylvestris から７種の内生菌を単離し、それらの菌を同定した。そして、それら
の菌の培養物（菌体抽出物，培養液からの抽出物）の抗酸化活性を調べた。その結果、７
種の内生菌の中では、Pseudocercospora sp. ESL 02 菌が最も高い抗酸化活性を示すことを見
出した。そして、この菌の菌体抽出物を抗酸化活性試験（DPPH radical scavenging assay）を
併用しながらシリカゲルカラムクロマトグラフィー、分取 TLC を用いて分離し、３種の活
性物質（4，5，6）を単離した。そして、機器分析により、３種の化合物をそれぞれ、
terreic acid (4), 6-methylsalicylic acid (5), 3,3'-oxybis(2,6-dichloro-5-methylphenol) (6)と同定し
た。３種の活性物質の中でも terreic acid は高い抗酸化活性を示した。  
さらに、D. racemosum の葉のメタノール抽出物について、抗酸化試験および α-グルコシ
ダーゼ阻害活性試験を併用しながらシリカゲルカラムクロマトグラフィー、分取 TLC を用
いて分離し、２種の活性物質（3，7）を単離した。そして、機器分析により、２種の化合
物をそれぞれ，methyl gallate (3), 2,4-dihydroxy-6-methoxyacetophenone (7) と同定した。化合
物  (3) は高い抗酸化活性だけでなく弱い α-グルコシダーゼ阻害活性を示した。また、化合
物 (7) は弱い抗酸化活性だけでなく中程度の α-グルコシダーゼ阻害活性を示した。  
また、Artemisia annua 中の抗酸化物質、caffeic acid の生産量を組織培養により向上させる
試みについても検討した。生産量を向上させるため、カルス増殖時の植物ホルモンの組合
せ（４種）について検討した。その結果、NAA (0.5mg/L)と BA (0.5mg/L)の組合せが最も多
くの caffeic acid を生産できることを見出し、組織培養により生理活性物質の生産性を向上
できる可能性を明らかにした。  
 
以上から、温帯産植物、E. sylvestris から３種の抗酸化物質（ ellagic acid, gallic acid, 
methyl gallate）を単離同定するとともに、E. sylvestris からの内生菌、Pseudocercospora sp. 
ESL 02 菌から３種の抗酸化物質（terreic acid, 6-methylsalicylic acid, 3,3'-oxybis(2,6-dichloro-5- 
methylphenol)）を単離同定した。また、D. racemosum から２種の生理活性物質、高い抗酸化
活性及び弱い α-グルコシダーゼ阻害活性を示す１種の化合物（methyl gallate）と、中程度の
α-グルコシダーゼ阻害活性及び弱い抗酸化活性を示す１種の化合物（ 2,4-dihydroxy-6-
methoxy- acetophenone）を単離同定した。また、組織培養により、植物中の生理活性物質
（抗酸化活性物質、caffeic acid）の生産性を向上できる可能性を明らかにした。  
 
本論文の公開審査会は２０１６年８月６日に香川大学農学部で開催され、論文審査と質
疑応答が行われた。それに引き続いて、学位論文審査委員会を開催して審査し、全員一致
して本論文が博士（学術）の学位を授与するに値するものと判断した。

論  文  名  PMI (psoas muscle index)が生体肝移植術後短期予後に及ぼす影響

【背景と目的】 
 脳死肝移植がほとんど行われていない日本では、生体肝移植術が主流であるが、全身状態不
良の末期肝疾患症例に対して施行される手術となり、術式および術後管理の改善が進む現在に
おいても依然として術後合併症が多くみられ、同合併症は術後死亡の大きな原因となっている。
術後予後を悪化させる要因は、術前より存在する易感染性、手術侵襲によるストレス、術後に
施行される免疫抑制療法等による感染症や ARDS(acute respiratory distress syndrome)/ALI
 (acute lung injury)、肝機能低下に伴う止血凝固機能低下等による術後出血、そして急性拒
絶反応などがある。 
 近年、術後死亡に影響を及ぼす因子として、骨格筋量、BIA (bioelectrical impedance ana
lysis)による BCM (body cell mass)や術中出血量、周術期栄養療法の実施などの報告がある。
なかでもとくに骨格筋量については肝移植術のみならず、さまざまな手術に対する予後因子と
して報告されている。本論文では、これまでに当院で施行された生体肝移植術症例を対象とし
て、骨格筋量を中心とする術前状態に関する因子、周術期栄養療法実施の有無、術中出血量等
の手術因子が術後合併症（Clavien-Dindo 分類における Grade Ⅲa 以上）発症および術後早期
死亡（術後 120 日以内の死亡）に与える影響について検討することを目的とした。 
【対象と方法】 
 2001 年 9 月より 2014 年 12 月までに当院で施行された生体肝移植術症例中、術前腹部 CT 画
像を確認できた成人例 47 例を対象とした。一次アウトカムを術後合併症発症、二次アウトカ
ムを術後早期死亡に設定し、Retrospective cohort study として検討を行った。性別、年齢
（レシピエントおよびドナー）、血液型不適合の有無、Child Pugh スコア、MELD スコア(the 
Model for End-stage Liver Disease score)、HCV 関連の有無、術前 SBP (spontaneous  
bacterial peritonitis：特発性細菌性腹膜炎）発症の有無、PMI（psoas muscle index:全身
骨格筋量の指標。術前施行された腹部CTで、第 3 腰椎椎体尾側端レベルにおける左右大腰筋断
面積の和を身長の 2 乗で除した値)、ヘモグロビン、総リンパ球数、総タンパク、アルブミン、
総コレステロール、血液尿素窒素、術前栄養療法（術前 2 週間のBCAA製剤投与）および術後経
腸栄養療法（術後早期からの腸瘻を用いた成分栄養剤投与）の有無、手術時間、術中出血量、
GRWR（graft-to-recipient weight ratios：移植肝重量/レシピエント体重比）、グラフトの
種類（右葉/左葉）を検討項目とした。単変量解析で有意とされた項目を用いて多変量解析を
行いアウトカムに対する独立危険因子を求めた。p値 0.05 未満をもって有意とし、統計ソフト
はJMP®11（SAS Institute Inc.）を使用した。 
【結果】 
 単変量解析の結果、合併症発症群は非発症群と比較し、有意に ABO 不適合、PMI 低値および 
左葉グラフトを用いた症例が多く、血液尿素窒素が高値であった。多変量解析により PMI 低値 
および血液尿素窒素高値が合併症発症の独立危険因子であることが明らかになった。さらに生 
存分析の結果、PMI 低値群は高値群と比較し有意に術後早期死亡が多くみられた。 
 骨格筋量が術後予後におよぼす影響の機序はいまだ明らかではない。骨格筋は第二の肝臓と
言われており、中心体温を維持するための体熱産生、生体内での免疫能維持にも関与している。
また手術侵襲のような多大なストレス時には骨格筋を崩壊させる。骨格筋の減少はストレス時
の免疫能に関わるグルタミン放出量を減少させる可能性がある。さらに肝障害に伴う蛋白質栄
養障害、加齢や種々の病態による骨格筋量の減少に伴う異化亢進と同化障害などの代謝異常が、
創傷治癒を阻害し手術予後を不良にしている可能性がある。一方、術前血液尿素窒素が高値を
示す症例で予後不良であったが、これは異化亢進をあらわしている可能性が考えられた。 
【結語】 
 骨格筋量を表す指標のなかで、PMI は算出が容易である。今後、生体肝移植術において PMI
低値を示す症例では、術後合併症および予後を予測するとともに、栄養療法、運動療法を可能
な限り取り入れ、骨格筋量の維持を図り、術後合併症の減少に努めることが予後改善につなが
るものと考えられた。 
 
 本論文の公開審査会は平成 28 年 1 月 28 日に開催された。申請者は研究内容を明確に発表し、
以下の内容を含む多くの質疑に対し的確に応答した。主な質疑の内容として、1) PMI 高値お
よび低値をわける閾値設定について 2) 栄養状態を示す指標と PMI との関連、また予後への
修飾について 3) PMI と中心体温維持効果、免疫への影響との関係 5) 肝移植の原因として
急性肝不全症例と慢性肝不全症に分けた場合の検討結果について 6) 肝不全の原因別の検討
結果について 7) 術後合併症の詳細についてなどであった。生体肝移植対象症例の術後合併
症と予後について、PMI が簡便に予測しうる指標となりうることを示した本研究は、評価され
る。審査委員は，申請者が本論文関連領域に対して学位授与に値する十分な見識と能力を有す
ることを全員一致で確認し，本論文が学位授与に値すると判定した。
