Introduction of research on the history of local education in Kagawa Prefecture（part 4）
Get PDFapplication/pdfThe Japanese word Kyōdo (which can be roughly translated as local in English) is a term that was coined in conjunction with the creation of the modern nation-state. Combined with the Japanese word kyoiku (meaning education) we come up with the expression that can be translated as local education. There is a reason why this term is used, and it has to do with the background of the historical era in which it was created.
This research introduces Kyōdo kyoiku (or local education) as it has been carried out in Kagawa Prefecture and surveys history while associating topography compilation in early-modern times and modern education focused on local such as furusato gakushu (meaning hometown learning). In addition to that, this paper attempts to clarify the historical meaning and future issues of Kyōdo kyoiku

As the result of a survey, merits of corporative group work with ICT tools were able to provide a visualization of comments of all students to easier understand differences and to be improve operational efficiency of group work. Moreover, a problem was the usability affected by factors of devices, the Internet environment and the differences of students’ skills

Archaeological Verification of the Ancient Battlefield of the Genpei Yashima Battle
Get PDFapplication/pdfYashima in Takamatsu city is widely known as the site of the ancient battlefield of the Genpei Yashima Battle which was fought between the Genji and Taira clan in February 1185. There are still famous places and historic sites related to the battle at the site of the old battlefield, and many people visit the site to remember the battle. Many of there historic sites have been compared to the local area based on the description in Heike Monogatari and it has been established that all of them are based historical facts. However, it is also known that among the historical sites of famous places, there are mixed places where the connection with Heike Monogatari is in doubt and there is little evidence of connection to the places. This article examines the authenticity of ancient battlefield sites through archaeological methods such as a re-reading of the Heike Monogatari and detailed observation of existing place names and topography. The conclusion is that the for the majority of there famous historical sites unclear, and it has become clear that further verification is essential
Demonstration projects involving collaboration between local communities and high school

Report of Informational Study put emphasis on practical education
Get PDFapplication/pdfIn the report, "The improvement of necessary guidelines and guidelines for kindergartens, elementary schools, junior high schools, high schools and special support schools," issued in December, 2008, the subjects concerned with active and interactive deep learning (from an Active Learning point of view) are going to be adopted. Therefore, teaching practice in "Information Studies," a teaching subject of a Type I teaching license for high schools, was carried out so that independent and interactive deep learning (from an Active Learning viewpoint) could be done in trial classes.
As a result, students were able to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for practical education, such as planning syllabuses (including lesson plans), operations (such as blackboard demonstration plans and making teaching materials) and evaluation procedures. In addition, they were able to gain confidence with being in classrooms and conducting teaching procedures. A problem is that there is still some difficulty in teaching procedures of practice classes in practical education
