Power Spectrol Analysis in the Hierarchy of ‘MA’ by a Morse Key Tapplng Task
application/pdfThe present study examined the power spectrum in the hierarchy(SHU-HA-RI) of ‘MA’ by a Morse key tapping task. The experiment of ‘MA’ consisted of the following four response phases:(1)the personal tempo phase,(2)the ‘SHU’ phase, (3)the ‘HA’ phase,and(4)the ‘RI’ phase. Moreover, the hierarchy of ‘MA’ ,were examined by the periodicity of the autocorrilation function and by the form of the power spectral function of the data of the R-R interval times from a Morse key tapping. 10 femal university students(mean age20.0)served as subject. They were asked to tap by a Morse key for the rhythmic auditory stimulus which composed of 18 tone sequences in each phase. The main findings were as follows; 1)For the personal tempo condition, all subjects not found the periodic nature of autocorrelation function, and the power spectrum was 1/f0 for frequencies. 2)Under the ‘SHU’ response condition, however, nine out of ten subjects showed both the periodicity of autocorrelation function and the f power spectrum. 3)More than half of subjects in the ‘HA’,response condition was similar to that seen in the ‘SHU’ response condition. 4)The ‘RI’ response condition was not exhibited either the f power spectra or the 1/f power spectra. Those results suggest that both the ‘HA’ and the ‘RI’ response condition were considerable difficult task for each subject
