Game Analysis of 2021World Men’s Handball Championship using Official Game Statistics (Status)
application/pdfThe objectives of the present study were; (i) the analyses of the 2021 World Men’s Handball Championship using Official Game Statistics (Status), (ii) especially
in the Balanced games to compare handball game-related statistics by match outcomes (winning and losing teams) and (iii) to consider the possibilities and limits
of the games analysis using the Status. As a result, in Balanced games, the variables that we have found which led to significant correlations between winning and losing
teams were almost the same as the results of the previous research. Regarding TO (Turnover Handling), it is not part of the Status, therefore, there is a limit to the
consideration of FB (Fast Breaks). However in general, we think that game analysis using Status is sufficiently possible.
Additionally, in Balanced games, we conducted the binomial logistic regression analysis to reconfirm and examine the variables that showed a significant
differences between winning and losing teams. We have also found significant differences in the efficiency of goal throws and the number of goal throws by Wing.
It is important to complete attacks in Balanced games to win, while always aiming for a goal throw with high probability from the 6m area where the efficiency of goal
throws is high, and while the moving defense system has shifted. As for the winners of 9m shots, they were more efficient than losers. Regarding this fact, when players
are in a situation that they cannot shoot from 6m area or Wing, it could be an important strategy to take 9m shots with a high probability of scoring in order to
control a Balanced game.
As clarified in the previous research, we found significant correlations in the efficiency of the goalkeeper between winning and losing teams in Status of this tournament. The organized defense will help the goalkeeper, so the field players and
the goalkeeper can communicate and have the opponent take shots from the court area (Wing, 9m) where the efficiency of goal throws is lower
The Actual State of the Manufacturing Industry in Kagawa Prefecture
application/pdfIn this report, we have attempted to clarify the characteristics of the manufacturing industry in Kagawa Prefecture, mainly by using the Census of Manufactures. The first thing that became clear was that the manufacturing industry in Kagawa Prefecture has an industrial structure centered on heavy chemical industry materials and the light industry types of manufacturing. Second, the size of the manufacturing industry in Kagawa
Prefecture as a whole is relatively medium to small. Thirdly, as is the fate of all local economies, a sudden decision by national or multinational corporations to leave Kagawa Prefecture could have a considerable impact on the local economy of the prefecture, depending on the overall policy of that corporation. Finally, as a matter of course, trends in the national manufacturing industry will certainly have an impact on trends in the manufacturing industry in Kagawa Prefecture
Reflections on an Open Class “Educational Counselling”
application/pdfThis paper is a report on the research class "Educational Consultation" in the Faculty of Human Development of Takamatsu University in the first semester of 2022, and mentions the outline and issues of the class. The theme of the research class was "Supporting Children through Class Management." In the post-class discussion, there was an opinion that it was possible to consider specific forms of class management while imagining the xperiences of each of the school types of the early childhood education course and children's education course. In addition, the attempt to stimulate the exchange of opinions in the group by using Google Jam Board was a proposal for the future BYOD(Bring Your Own Device) class format, and the teachers who observed the class said that they would like to use it, there was an opinion that there was room for study in the use of IT equipment

Earnings Management Using Development Investment Capitalization under IFRS -Empirical Research for Japanese Companies Adopting IFRS-
application/pdfPrevious study in Germany suggests that development investment capitalization under IAS 38 (International Accounting Standard No. 38 “Intangible Assets”) of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) is used for earnings management. However, no similar previous study in Japan has yet been found. Therefore, in this study I examine whether development investment capitalization under IAS 38 is used for earnings management among Japanese companies adopting IFRS in the manufacturing industry. I use forecasted earnings by management, prior year’s earnings and zero line of earnings as benchmarks for earnings management that managers may try to achieve by opportunistically capitalizing development investments. The results of this analysis suggest that development investment capitalization is used to achieve benchmarks. The results of this study can provide useful evidence when discussing the accounting treatment of development costs in convergence

application/pdfThis paper is a report of reflections on an open class Contents of “Pre-and Post-Guidance on Teaching Practice II” in the Faculty of Human Development of Takamatsu University in the first semester of 2024. This report refers to the implementation outline, considerations and further challenges. The theme of the research class was “ICT skills for elementary school teachers”. The contents of the class were to understand the necessity of ICT utilization in elementary schools, to learn the basic operation methods of electronic blackboards and tablet PCs, and to think about effective lessons using ICT
Guidance and ingenuity of fieldwork in earth science for students who wish to obtain an elementary school teaching license -A Practical example of an elementary school "science" class at Yashima Geosite Geosite-
application/pdfThe Development of Child Department at the Faculty of Human Development has offered fieldwork at Yashima a nearby Geosite for the past four years for students who wish to obtain an elementary school teaching license in the first year class Science.
In Yashima mesa topography o utcrops of platy joint with bronzite・augite andesite and geological events of rhyolite tuff can be seen and there are few dangerous places and observation can be carried out efficiently in about 3 hours. For students in this department who have not learned the basics of high school earth science and are not good at the field of earth science we were able to achieve learning outcomes by carefully practicing a combination of pre study and field training. Future challenges are to equip future teaching students with knowledge and skills in observation surveying , and gathering at outcrops to increase their interest in field observation and to develop new teaching materials for field work
Gift exchanges , cultural and entertainment activities of kokujin and dogo classes ,and the formation of regional social order in Sanuki in the late Middle Ages (Part 4)
application/pdfIn medieval Japanese society, which was decentralized and pluralistic, self-salvation was a social principle. Why were the samurai able to gradually take the lead in the local community as a new social group? In this paper, I would like to clarify the trends of the kokujin and dogo classes, which are the middle class of local communities in the Sanuki region in the late Middle Ages, and how they played a role in the formation of human ties and community order in local communities through gift-giving and cultural performing arts activities mediated by local temples and shrines
The Expected Benefits of the Temporary Use of Employment and Employment Support Services in the Transition from School to Workforce
application/pdfThis paper outlines the anticipated benefits of employing a dual approach of simultaneous employment and employment continuation support (referred to as ‘temporary use’) for students transitioning from special needs schools to the workforce, based on guidelines that were issued in April 2024. The study found that temporary co-use is expected to serve as an effective support system, facilitating a gradual and stable transition to vocational independence for students. However, it also highlighted challenges such as the need for better information sharing with career guidance teachers and increased awareness of the system. The importance of engaging in study sessions and sharing model cases within local networks, including employment support facilities and planning consultation support offices, was also emphasized
Industrial Structure Typology by Prefecture in Japan
application/pdfThis research note is an attempt to categorize the characteristics of the industrial structure of Japan's 47 prefectures using data from the Prefectural Economic Accounts, the National Population Census, the Economic Census of Japan, and the Input-Output table. The method used for categorization was to calculate the chi-square statistic, which is often used in statistics. A large value indicates a large discrepancy between observed and theoretical frequencies, while a small value indicates a small discrepancy between observed and theoretical frequencies. The chi-square value is calculated by taking any two prefectures and considering the industrial structure of one prefecture (e.g., the ratio of the number of employees in the case of the census) as the theoretical value and the industrial structure of the other prefecture as the actual value. If this value is relatively small, the industrial structure of the two prefectures is considered to be similar, and if this value is relatively large, the industrial structure of the two prefectures is considered to be different from each other
