BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY AND FINANCIAL INCLUSION IN NIGERIA: AN ANALYSIS OF THE MISSING LINK
This research study analyzes the missing link between blockchain technology and financial inclusion in Nigeria. The study aims to examine the current state of financial inclusion in Nigeria, explore the potential of blockchain technology in addressing the identified challenges, identify key barriers to its adoption, and propose practical strategies and recommendations to bridge the gap. The research methodology includes a comprehensive review of existing literature, data analysis, and case studies of blockchain-based financial inclusion projects in Nigeria. The findings reveal that although Nigeria has made progress in improving financial inclusion, significant gaps and challenges persist, including gender disparities, geographical limitations, and regulatory uncertainties. Blockchain technology offers potential solutions by providing secure, affordable, and accessible financial services to the unbanked population. However, challenges such as regulatory constraints, infrastructure limitations, lack of awareness and education, trust and security concerns, and socioeconomic and cultural factors hinder its implementation. The study recommends the development of clear regulatory frameworks for blockchain technology, improvement of infrastructure and technological capabilities, awareness and education campaigns, addressing trust and security concerns, and tailored approaches that consider the local context

Customer Satisfaction with the Point of Sale (POS) System: Moderating Role of Age
The study investigated the relationship between the point of sales (POS) system and customer satisfaction while considering age as moderating variable for some selected Banks in Zaria, Kaduna state, Nigeria. Data from the respondents was collected using a survey method. The entire customers of Eco bank, Jaiz bank and Unity bank who used POS system constitute the population for this study. The population of customers in these three sampled banks who used POS system cannot be ascertained. Therefore, a sample size of 384 was generated using infinite population table. Customers who visited the banks that were selected for the study were randomly administered with questionnaires where 384 copies of questionnaires were administered to them but only 357copies were validly returned by the respondents. However, the three banks were selected purposively. Both descriptive and inferential statistics are employed to analyse the data. PLS-SEM approach was adopted to test hypotheses and the results indicated that there was a positive significant relationship between a point of sale system and customer satisfaction but the age of the customers only moderates the relationship between fund transfer and customer satisfaction.

This implied that even though they are all regarded as dominant economies in Africa, the Nigerian cashless system and its peers fail to meet the global average standards. The study recommends the expansion and improvement of social infrastructures, effective use of PoS meant for merchants and the massive deployment of the latest technologies such as ATM fingerprints (for withdrawal and deposit) and PoS fingerprints to proactively tackle future challenges in the system. The study also advocates the creation, promotion, supportive regulatory and supervisory framework that embraces financial inclusion and education for the general public

Research data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Frequency Table, means and standard deviations; were the descriptive measures adopted. The t test for equality of means constituted the inferential statistic. Data analyses were performed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS 21.0). The research empirically showed that work environment does not significantly impact on employees’ performance in the understudied manufacturing firms in Nigeria.
