A Study on the Collaboration Between a Special Support School and Employment Support Offices in the Employment Transition of Special Support School Graduates

Occurrence of ochratoxin A, B and 14-(R)-ochratoxin A in commercial instant and drinking coffee and cocoa products in Japan
A contamination survey of ochratoxin A(OTA)and 14-(R)-ochratoxin A(14R-OTA)in domestic commercial instant and drinking coffee, and cocoa products in 2023 was conducted using an immunoaffinity column-HPLC method. The results showed that OTA was detected in 35 of 36(97.2%)instant coffee with an average of 0.52 μg/kg and a maximum of 1.75 μg/kg. The OTA limit(5 μg/kg)set by European Food Safety Authority(EFSA)were not exceeded. 14R-OTA was detected in 30 samples(83.3%)with a maximum of 1.17 μg/kg and a mean of 0.26 μg/kg. In drinking coffee, 34 of 42 samples(81.0%)were positive for OTA with a mean of 0.153 μg/L and a maximum of 1.113 μg/L. None of the samples exceeded the EFAS OTA limit of 2 μg/L for wine and other beverages. However, 22 samples(52.4%)exceeded the drinking coffee OTA of 0.071 μg/L, which is calculated from the EFAS OTA limit for instant coffee. 14R-OTA was detected in 25 samples(59.5%)with a maximum of 0.363 μg/L and a mean of 0.057 μg/kg. Drinking coffee sold commercially in Japan was not safe enough to be contaminated with OTA. All cocoa products(41 samples)were OTA-positive with a mean value of 1.02 μg/kg. 2 samples(4.27 and 6.94 μg/kg)were above the EFAS standard of 3 μg/kg.2023年に国内市販インスタントコーヒー,ドリンキングコーヒーとココア製品のOTA,OTBと14R-OTAの汚染調査をイムノアフィニティーカラム-HPLC法で行った.その結果,インスタントコーヒーでは36検体中35検体(97.2%)で陽性平均0.52 μg/kg,最大1.75 μg/kgのOTAが検出された.14R-OTAは30検体(83.3%)で検出され,最大値は1.17 μg/kg,全検体の平均値は0.26 μg/kgであった.OTBは18検体(42.9%)で検出され,最大値は0.141μg/kg,全検体の平均値は0.049 μg/Lであった.EFASのOTAの基準値5 μg/kgを超える検体はなかった.ドリンキングコーヒーでは42検体中34検体(81.0%)で陽性平均0.153 μg/L,最大1.113 μg/LのOTAが検出された.全検体の平均値は0.125 μg/Lであった.14R-OTAは25検体(59.5%)で検出され,最大値は0.363 μg/L,全検体の平均値は0.057 μg/Lであった.OTBは18検体(42.9%)で検出され,最大値は0.141 μg/L,全検体の平均値は0.049μg/Lであった.EFASのワインなどの飲料のOTAの基準値2 μg/Lを超える検体はなかった.しかし,インスタントコーヒーOTAの基準値から計算されるドリンキングコーヒーの基準値は0.071 μg/Lであり,22検体(52.4%)がこの値を超えていた.日本で市販されているドリンキングコーヒーは充分に安全であるとはいいがたいOTA汚染であった.
ココア製品41検体のOTA汚染調査を行った結果,41検体すべてがOTA陽性であり,平均値は1.02 μg/kgであった.EFASの基準3 μg/kgを超える検体は4.27と6.94 μg/kgの2検体あった.製品区分では,ココアパウダー22検体のOTA平均値±SDは1.02±1.27 μg/kgであり,調製ココア19検体の平均値±SDは0.39±0.27 μg/kgであった.有意に砂糖やミルクなどを含まないココアパウダーのOTA濃度は高かった.最大汚染の毎日ココア毎日1杯飲んだ場合のOTAの摂取量はTDIの13%で,健康被害は発生するとは考えにくい.しかし,EFASの基準3 μg/kgを超える検体が2検体(4.9%)あったことから,今後,継続的監視が必要と考えられた.departmental bulletin pape

Nurturing nurses with good ethics for a healthier future: A scoping review of public health ethics education
Aims
The aim of this study was to explore the characteristics of public health ethics education programs designed for nursing students to inform the development of curricula that produce nurses with a strong ethical compass.Background
The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the urgent need for public health ethics education in nursing. While the importance of balancing individual rights and the health of the community is well-recognized, there is a dearth of effective educational programs and materials to equip nursing students with the necessary skills to navigate these complex ethical issues.Design
This study is a scoping review of the literatureMethods: A total of 16 studies were obtained within a search period of 2012-2023.Results: Our analysis showed that some of the studies included other faculty members and practitioners. Effective teaching methods included narrative media and gaming methods, while Internet technology posed teaching challenges. Evaluation methods ranged from analyzing student discussions and reports to using specific measurement scales.Conclusions: These findings suggest the need to develop a broader range of evaluation methods and collaborative efforts among educators to ensure the sharing of educational resources.journal articl
Detection of atrial fibrillation from pulse waves using convolution neural networks and recurrence-based plots
We propose a classification method for distinguishing atrial fibrillation from sinus rhythm in pulse-wave measurements obtained with a blood pressure monitor. This method combines recurrence-based plots with convolutional neural networks. Moreover, we devised a novel plot, with which our classification achieved specificity of 97.5%, sensitivity of 98.4%, and accuracy of 98.6%. These criteria are higher than previously reported results for measurements obtained with blood pressure monitors and are almost equal to statistical measures for methods based on electrocardiographs and photoplethysmographs.journal articl
