Get PDFIm EU-Projekt ‚DATAMITE ‘ werden Lösungen für die Herausforderungen der effektiven Nutzung und Monetarisierung von Daten in der heutigen Unternehmenslandschaft entwickelt. Daten werden entlang des gesamten Wertschöpfungsprozesses erhoben, wobei deren Generierung oft unstrukturiert geschieht. In der Folge sind die Datensätze häufig ungeeignet, um auf ihnen basierende Entscheidungen zu treffen. Darüber hinaus verhindert die unstrukturierte Erhebung der Daten ihre effiziente Analyse und anschließende Monetarisierung. Die im Rahmen des Projekts zu entwickelnden Lösungen werden die Datenmonetarisierung in der produzierenden Industrie Europas beschleunigen. Konkret sollen europäische Unternehmen mittels einer Plattform und Open-Source-Tools dabei unterstützt werden, Daten strukturiert zu erheben und zu analysieren, um sie so nutzbar zu machen. Bei der gleichnamigen Plattform DATAMITE handelt es sich um eine innovative Datenintegrationsplattform, die eine Vielzahl an Datensätzen aus unterschiedlichen Quellen zu einem einzigen, leicht zugänglichen Datensatz konsolidiert. Die Ergebnisse des Projekts werden in drei verschiedenen Anwendungsfällen mit insgesamt sechs Pilotvorhaben validiert. Diese umfassen Bereiche wie Landwirtschaft, Energie, Industrie, Fertigung und Klima.
Das Forschungsprojekt ‚DATAMITE ‘ startete im Januar 2023 und wird während der dreijährigen Laufzeit durch das Horizon-Europe-Programm der Europäischen Kommission gefördert. Das Projekt vereint mit 27 kooperierenden Partnern aus 13 Ländern die Innovationskraft ganz Europas.
Insgesamt wird die Plattform DATAMITE eine innovative Lösung für Unternehmen darstellen, die ihre Daten effektiver nutzen und verwalten möchten. Die Plattform wird zahlreiche Funktionen und Tools bieten, um Datenanalyse und -verarbeitung zu automatisieren, die Datenqualität zu gewährleisten und Daten sicher zu speichern. Unternehmen werden durch die Nutzung von DATAMITE bessere Entscheidungen treffen können, Risiken minimieren können, wertvolle Einblicke in ihre Geschäftsdaten gewinnen und sich dadurch Wettbewerbsvorteile sichern können.The EU project 'DATAMITE' is developing solutions to the challenges of effectively using and monetizing data in today's corporate landscape. Data is collected along the entire value creation process, but it is often generated in an unstructured way. As a result, the data sets are often unsuitable as a basis for decision-making. In addition, the unstructured collection of data prevents its efficient analysis and subsequent monetization. The solutions to be developed as part of the project will accelerate data monetization in Europe's manufacturing industry. Specifically, a platform and open source tools shall be used to support European companies in collecting and analyzing data in a structured manner in order to make it usable. The platform, also called DATAMITE, is an innovative data integration platform that consolidates a large number of data sets from different sources into a single, easily accessible data set. The results of the project will be validated in three different use cases with a total of six pilot projects. These cover areas such as agriculture, energy, industry, manufacturing, and climate.
The 'DATAMITE' research project started in January 2023 and is being funded by the European Commission's Horizon Europe Program for three years. With 27 cooperating partners from 13 countries, the project unlocks the innovative strength of the whole of Europe. Overall, the DATAMITE platform will be an innovative solution for companies that want to use and manage their data more effectively. The platform will offer numerous functions and tools to automate data analysis and processing, ensure data quality, and store data securely. Get PDFLife Cycle Assessment (LCA) is one of the fundamental methods to facilitate effective decisions in sustainability transformation. However, the current implementation of LCA is inefficient due to detached software applications and manual data imports. Utilizing data from existing information systems offers the potential for a significant increase in efficiency. Existing approaches focus on prototypical implementations with a high level of detail but low transferability, or approaches only consider integration at the system level, whereby practical applicability is reduced. Therefore, this paper presents an information-based framework for integrating LCA software into the existing IT landscape of manufacturing companies with focusing on generic functions and a detailed information flow. The generic approach enables transferability, while the detailed information flows allow practical applicability
The Symbiosis Of Decarbonization And Digitalisation
Get PDFIn an era increasingly defined by the relentless advance of climate change, the imperative for sustainable transformation has emerged as a central concern for global organizations. For this transformation the intertwined concepts of decarbonization and digitalisation can offer a blueprint for a sustainable future.
Decarbonization, aimed at reducing carbon-based emissions, is critical in lessening the ecological footprint of businesses. Yet, achieving decarbonization is not a solitary journey but one that necessitates the integration of digitalisation as a pivotal facilitator, enhancing the efficiency and efficacy of this transition.
However, the challenge for organizations lies in devising and executing appropriate strategies for this transformation. Within the framework of the Roadmap.SW research project, a methodology is being developed to aid utilities in accelerating their decarbonization and digitalisation efforts. This involves initially assessing the organization’s current capabilities in digitalisation and decarbonization to then establish a desired future state and to finally outline steps for implementation. This research work extends the acatech Industry 4.0 Maturity Index to encompass additional design domains, incorporating capabilities and maturity levels specific to decarbonization. At the same time, the focus of the target group is changing.
While the original model focussed on Industry 4.0, i.e. the transformation of manufacturing companies, the extension focuses on municipal utilities. This approach not only charts a course for sustainable organizational transformation but also underscores the critical interplay between reducing carbon emissions and embracing
