    Developing and Evaluating the Use of ChatGPT as a Screening Tool for Nurses Conducting Structured Literature Reviews:Proof of Concept Study Results

    Aim: To examine the feasibility of using a large language model (LLM) as a screening tool during structured literature reviews to facilitate evidence-based practice. Design: A proof-of-concept study. Methods: This paper outlines an innovative method of abstract screening using ChatGPT and computer coding for large scale, effective and efficient abstract screening. The authors, new to ChatGPT and computer coding, used online education and ChatGPT to upskill. The method was empirically tested using 400 abstracts relating to public involvement in nursing education from four different databases (CINAHL, Scopus, ERIC and MEDLINE), using four versions of ChatGPT. Results were compared with a human nursing researcher and reported using the CONSORT 2010 extension for pilot and feasibility trials checklist. Results: ChatGPT-3.5 Turbo was most effective for rapid screening and had a broad inclusionary approach with a false-negative rate lower than the human researcher. More recent versions of ChatGPT-4, 4 Turbo, and 4 omni were less effective and had a higher number of false negatives compared to ChatGPT-3.5 Turbo and the human researcher. These more recent versions of ChatGPT did not appear to appreciate the nuance and complexities of concepts that underpin nursing practice. Conclusion: LLMs can be useful in reducing the time nurses spend screening research abstracts without compromising on literature review quality, indicating the potential for expedited synthesis of research evidence to bridge the research–practice gap. However, the benefits of using LLMs can only be realised if nurses actively engage with LLMs, explore LLMs' capabilities to address complex nursing issues, and report on their findings. Implications for the Professional and/or Patient Care: Nurses need to engage with LLMs to explore their capabilities and suitability for nursing purposes.     Kontekst: Det danske erhvervsuddannelsessystem (EUD) bygger på den duale model. I Danmark står EUD-uddannelserne fortsat over for udfordringer med lav søgning og højt frafald, ikke mindst i overgangene fra skole til oplæring. Denne artikel undersøger, hvordan unge EUD-elever i Danmark under 25 år navigerer i krydsfeltet mellem ungdomsliv og arbejdsliv under deres læretid.Tilgang: Med udgangspunkt i et igangværende studie, der anvender mobil etnografi og journey mapping, undersøges, hvordan elever under 25 år skaber og oplever mening i deres uddannelses- og ungdomsliv. Studiet adresserer de høje frafaldsprocenter og den begrænsede viden om elevers arbejdspladsbaserede læring. Gennem mobil etnografi og journey-mapping-interviews inddrages deltagerne som medskabere af data via billeder, chats og visuel kortlægning.Resultater: Studiet er fortsat igangværende, men resultaterne forventes at bidrage til mere inkluderende og ungdomscentrerede EUD-praksisser, også i de arbejdsbaserede læringsperioder i uddannelserne, som kan understøtte fastholdelse og gennemførelse i et dualt uddannelsessystem.Konklusioner: Studiet er stadig igangværende. Konklusioner forventes at være tilgængelige i begyndelsen af 2026

    Afrapportering. Geriatri på kommunale pladser:et tværsektorielt forbedringsprojekt

    Geriatri på kommunale pladser er et nyt subakut tilbud i Aalborg Kommune til ældre, skrøbelige borgere, som er i høj risiko for uhensigtsmæssig hospitalsindlæggelse, men hvor behandling kan foregå tættere på hjemmet i kommunale rammer under fuldt geriatrisk lægefagligt behandlingsansvar.  Tilbuddet består af fem dedikerede kommunale geriatriske pladser placeret i Akuttilbud Aalborg. Her gennemfører et tværfagligt team i tæt samarbejde med en geriater en samlet, helhedsorienteret indsats med fokus på udredning og behandling ift. bl.a. funktionstab, medicinsanering, nedsat ernæring og plan for det videre forløb.  Evaluering af de første 72 patientforløb viser, at:  Målgruppen er ældre borgere over 65 år med multisygdom og let til moderat skrøbelighed, ofte henvist på grund af funktionsfald, faldtendens og svimmelhed.  Hovedparten var mellem 75-85 år. Gennemsnitlig opholdslængde på de kommunale geriatriske pladser er 8 dage (mod 20 dage i Akuttilbud Aalborg og 4,5 dage på geriatrisk sengeafsnit).  11 % blev genindlagt inden for 30 dage og 9 % indenfor 31–90 dage; ingen genindlæggelser indenfor 30 dage blev vurderet som unødvendige ved tværsektoriel audit.  Næsten alle patienter fik en systematisk medicingennemgang, og langt de fleste modtog fysioterapeutisk vurdering, samt målrettede rehabiliterings- og ernæringsindsatser.  Interviews med 27 patienter og 23 pårørende viser, at patienter og pårørende oplevede forløbene som trygge, sammenhængende og meningsfulde.  Spørgeskemaundersøgelse og interviews med praktiserende læger viser, at de oplever tilbuddet som et relevant og værdiskabende alternativ til hospitalsindlæggelse for en særligt skrøbelig patientgruppe med rehabiliteringspotentiale.  Samlet set peger auditfund og foreløbige resultater på, at Geriatri på kommunale pladser er et patientsikkert og fagligt bæredygtigt tilbud for den udvalgte målgruppe, som både styrker patienter og pårørendes oplevelse af sammenhæng og tryghed, styrker tværsektorielt samarbejde og kvaliteten i tværgående indsatser og endeligt understøtter effektivt og målrettet brug af ressourcer. 

    VVI-GFM:A Voltage Vector-Informed Grid-Forming Control for Post-Disturbance Fast Synchronization Recovery

    Maintaining synchronization stability after large grid disturbances is a vital requirement for grid-forming (GFM) converters. Existing enhanced GFM control strategies are often designed for a specific disturbance scenario, requiring extended recovery times or exhibiting frequency fluctuations. This paper reveals that synchronization instability triggered by two typical grid disturbance events, phase jumps and voltage sags, can be unified according to underlying similarities during the post-disturbance recovery. Based on these insights, this paper proposes a novel voltage vector-informed grid-forming (VVI-GFM) control strategy by fully leveraging the d/q components of the point of common coupling (PCC) voltage vector, which can offer fast synchronization recovery and minimize frequency deviations under both phase jumps and voltage sags. The post-disturbance dynamics of the d/q components of the PCC voltage vector are quantitatively characterized, thus mechanistically demonstrating the effectiveness and applicability of the VVI-GFM control. Moreover, detailed guidelines about the feedforward path design and critical control parameter calculation are provided to ensure normal operation across varying grid strengths. Simulations and experimental results under diverse grid disturbance scenarios further validate the advantages and robustness of the proposed control strategy.</p

    Time for Timed Monitorability

    Monitoring is an important part of the verification toolbox, in particular in situations where exhaustive verification using, e.g., model-checking is infeasible. The goal of online monitoring is to determine the satisfaction or violation of a specification during runtime, i.e., based on finite execution prefixes. However, not every specification is amenable to monitoring, e.g., properties for which no finite execution can witness satisfaction or violation. Monitorability is the question of whether a given specification is amenable to monitoring, and has been extensively studied in discrete time. Here, we study the monitorability problem for real-time properties expressed as Timed Automata. For specifications given by deterministic Timed Muller Automata, we prove decidability while we show that the problem is undecidable for specifications given by nondeterministic Timed Büchi automata. Furthermore, we refine monitorability to also determine bounds on the number of events as well as the time that must pass before monitoring the property may yield an informative verdict. We prove that for deterministic Timed Muller automata, such bounds can be effectively computed. In contrast we show that for nondeterministic Timed Büchi automata such bounds are not computable.</p

    Mattering as citizens:Conditions

    In this chapter, we concern ourselves with the feeling of mattering as citizens. Since we are constantly interacting with the state - through taxation offices, health and welfare services, social security, educational institutions, transportation systems, the courts, and the like - it stands to reason that these interactions would have an impact on how we feel as citizens of a particular city, region, state, or nation. Do we feel valued and respected by the governing authorities and their representatives, or do we feel devalued and diminished by them? Do we feel that we can add value to society? Do we have opportunities to feel significant through meaningful contributions to the community? Based on supporting empirical evidence, we offer a theoretical framework to explain the phenomenon of mattering as citizens. We postulate that conditions of progress and justice in a country lead to experiences of mattering, which, in turn, lead to health and happiness among the population.</p
