Get PDFHace apenas unos pocos meses, el escritor español y periodista cultural Alberto Olmos incendiaba Internet con un artículo publicado en El Confidencial con el elocuente título “Chicas, ¿no estáis hartas de vosotras mismas?”. En él llamaba la atención sobre el hecho de que “la producción editorial de autoría femenina [hubiera] alcanzado la redundancia más agotadora” (Olmos 2023b), como ponía en evidencia que en las seis últimas ocasiones el premio Tusquets de novela lo hubieran ganado mujeres. De ello cabía deducir la existencia de una operación editorial alineada al “decoro feminista”, amén del esquema reiterativo de estas obras y de otras más allá del citado premio. Get PDFThis article proposes an interpretation to “Trilogy of the 70s”, composed of Historia del llanto (2007), Historia del pelo (2010), and Historia del dinero (2013) by the Argentine writer Alan Pauls, situated at the intersection of semiotics, psychoanalysis, and literature. These three everyday elements (tears, hair, and money) reveal the politics of the symbolic that facilitate the conventional process of signification. Revolving around a structural deficit, the social discourses in the 1970s feed on fantastic representations and endow everyday objects with a phantasmagorical transcendence in order to present them as objects of desire. This paper aims to explain how a gestalt structure is unraveled by author to reclaim a corporeal autonomy which is pre-discursive and impossible to pinpoint with language. Based on the lacanian real, two strategies (excess and dissociation) come into play to detach the subject from the ymbolic logic that hides its volatile and irrational essence under a neutral and infallible appearance.El presente artículo propone interpretar la “Trilogía de los 70”, compuesta por Historia del llanto (2007), Historia del pelo (2010), Historia del dinero (2013) del escritor argentino Alan Pauls, situándose en el punto de intersección entre la semiótica, el psicoanálisis y la literatura. Los tres elementos cotidianos (llanto, pelo y dinero) ponen de manifiesto la política de lo simbólico que posibilita el proceso convencional de significación. Girando en torno a una falta estructural, los discursos sociales de los 70 alimentan representaciones fantásticas y dotan a los objetos cotidianos de una trascendentalidad fantasmagórica para que se conviertan en objetos de deseo. Se sugiere también cómo se desentraña la estructura gestálica para reivindicar una autonomía corporal, pre-discursiva e imposible de precisar con el lenguaje. Sustentadas en lo real lacaniano, entran en escena dos estrate- gias (exceso y desasociación) para que el sujeto se desprenda de la lógica simbólica que esconde una esencia volátil e irracional bajo una apariencia neutral e infalible
Análisis de la morfología derivativa de los manuales Español moderno y Español ABC empleados en China
Get PDFThis paper presents an analysis of the derivational morphology of Spanish as presented in the textbooks Español moderno and Español ABC, which are widely used in Chinese universities. The study also offers solutions to address the identified deficiencies, including the lack of explanation regarding word formation and the absence of practical activities. Furthermore, the article puts forward specific proposals and recommendations to improve the teaching and learning of Spanish derivational morphology in the Chinese context.Este trabajo expone el análisis de la morfología derivativa del español presentada en los manuales Español moderno y Español ABC, los más empleados en las universidades de China. Una vez expuesto dicho análisis, presenta soluciones a las deficiencias encontradas en ellos como son la falta de explicación de formación de palabras y la ausencia de actividades prácticas sobre la realidad derivativa del español. Por otro lado, se presentan propuestas y recomendaciones concretas para mejorar la enseñanza y el aprendizaje de la morfología derivativa del español en el contexto del aprendizaje de esta lengua entre los estudiantes chinos

Get PDFIn this paper, I examine the work of three key authors of feminist epistemology (Hilary Rose, Alison Jaggar and Evelyn Fox Keller) that look into the relationship between love, power and scientific knowledge. Based on this analysis, I put forward three theses: 1) that emotions are a devalued but nevertheless omnipresent dimension in the founding discourses of modern science; 2) that there is an affective repertoire linked to love, care and intimacy that can be valued as an epistemic resource; 3) that it is convenient to read this epistemic love as a feminist emotion instead of a feminine one if we want to promote a radical revision of what counts as scientific practice.Este artículo examina la obra de tres autoras claves de la epistemología feminista (Hilary Rose, Alison Jaggar y Evelyn Fox Keller) que versa sobre la relación entre amor, poder y conocimiento científico. A partir de este análisis, se proponen tres tesis: 1) que las emociones son una dimensión devaluada pero así y todo omnipresente en los discursos fundantes de la ciencia moderna; 2) que existe un repertorio afectivo vinculado al amor, el cuidado y la intimidad que puede ser valorado como un recurso epistémico; 3) que es conveniente interpretar este amor epistémico como un afecto feminista en vez de femenino si lo que queremos es propiciar una revisión radical de lo que constituye la práctica científica

Get PDFÉticas y estéticas de la profanación: el entre siglos más allá del modernismo (Perú-Venezuela, 1880-1914) es una propuesta original para pensar en un periodo de la literatura latinoamericana que, como lo indica su título, ha sido especialmente estudiado a partir de la estética del modernismo o, en su defecto, en el marco de lo que se ha entendido como fin de siglo. El libro de Ainaí Morales-Pino se distingue por tres razones: se desmarca (pero no ignora) de categorías estudiadas con profusión, como son el modernismo y el fin de siglo y visibiliza otros proyectos estético-literarios; aborda un corpus de novelas peruanas y venezolanas que, en general, se ha mantenido al margen de los estudios del campo; y se articula desde un enfoque relacional, comparado y con perspectiva de género que le permite elaborar reflexiones de alcance regional..
Effects of selling through an auction market on physiological variables in beef calves
Get PDFIn Chile, selling cattle through auction markets is common, and involves various stressful events. The objective of this study was to determine the effects of selling weaned beef calves through an auction market on indi- cators of physiological stress. Considering that transportation is invariably linked to any commercialization procedure, we compared the effects of exposing calves to transport and sale through an auction market versus transporting them directly between farms. Twenty calves of 175 (+/-37.5) kg live weight were transported from their origin farm to an auction market (2.5 h journey), where 10 calves were unloaded and exposed to regular handling within the market (unloading, sorting, regrouping, penning, sale yard showing) and thereafter loaded and transported back to the farm (TM). The remaining 10 calves were not unloaded at the market and were immediately transported back to the farm, simulating a direct sale (TD). Data collection (blood samples, body temperature, and live weight) was performed at the farm in both groups before loading (initial, 0 h), at the end of the process, after unloading TM calves back on the farm (after unloading, 12 h), and during recovery at 24, 48, and 72 h after the initial sampling. We used mixed-effects models to compare treatments and samplings. No differences were found between treatments in terms of live weight loss, maximum eye temperature, plasma β-hydroxybutyrate, and serum cortisol concentrations. The rectal temperature was higher (p < 0.05) in TM after treatment and remained higher (p > 0.05) in the samples than in TD. Calves that passed through the market showed higher (p < 0.05) plasma CK activity after unloading (12 h) than did those that did not. The mean glucose concentration increased (p < 0.05) at 12h and remained higher than the initial value (0 h) in both the calf groups. This was a preliminary study, and according to the results, experiments should be repeated to test more animals under different situations and premises
Swimming performance of adults and copepodites of Caligus rogercresseyi against different water flow speeds in presence or absence of light and host fish attractants
Get PDFThe present study was conducted to determine the swimming ability of adults and copepodites of Caligus rogercresseyi at three different water flow speeds, considering the presence or absence of attractants such as light and fish (Salmo salar). A total of 360 gravid females, 360 adult males, and 720 copepodites were randomly selected from a sea lice hatchery and distributed into groups. Each group was placed in a plastic bucket within a tank, and exposed or not to two attractants (light or host fish) at different water flow speeds (0, 1 and 2 cm/s). The results showed higher migration of adults and copepodites in the presence of light than in its absence (P < 0.05); however, no significant differences related to sea lice swimming performance were found in the presence or absence of fish (P > 0.05). Water flow speed had no effect on either variable (P > 0.05). In the current study, adult C. rogercresseyi demonstrated superior swimming capabilities compared with copepodites
Lectura literaria en pantalla en la Educación Media Chilena: oportunidades, accesos y valoraciones
Get PDFLiterary reading is a school practice that has been held throughout educational history. Approaches, aims, as well as some of the proposals for literary texts have changed. Nevertheless, little has changed the reading media despite the devices’ massification that allows reading on the screen. This work reports the results of a study on digital literary literacy practices of High School students in Chile. Based on the analysis of Curricular Objectives, corpus available in the national School Digital Library, and the perceptions of students and teachers regarding reading on the screen. The results reveal the absence of explicit curricular opportunities for literary reading on screen, a limited coverage by the national School Digital Library of the literary texts suggested on the curriculum; as well as the presence of obstacles such as limited access to the internet, lack of knowledge of this digital library, and finally, the absence of digital literary reading in teachers.La lectura literaria es una práctica escolar que se ha mantenido a lo largo de la historia educativa. Han cambiado enfoques, objetivos y algunas de las propuestas de textos literarios. No obstante, poco se han modificado los soportes de lectura pese a la masificación de dispositivos que permiten leer en pantalla. Este trabajo reporta resultados de un estudio sobre prácticas de literacidad literaria digital de estudiantes de Educación Media en Chile. A partir del análisis de Objetivos Curriculares, de obras disponibles en la Biblioteca Digital Escolar y de valoraciones de estudiantes y docentes sobre la lectura en pantalla, los resultados evidencian la ausencia de oportunidades curriculares explícitas para la lectura literaria en pantalla, una cobertura limitada por parte de la Biblioteca Digital Escolar de los textos literarios sugeridos curricularmente; presencia de obstaculizadores tales como el acceso limitado a internet, el desconocimiento de esta biblioteca digital y la ausencia de la lectura literaria digital en docentes
Pensamiento algebraico emergente en niñas y niños de Educación Inicial
Get PDFMathematical thinking is fundamental for the development of skills in children. For this reason, this research arose, and it aims to interpret the process of construction of emergent algebraic thinking in early childhood. This construction process will allow the design of instructional strategies. The methodology adopted is a qualitative approach. This is a case study, supported by interpretive-descriptive research. The results were obtained through the application of a pre- and post-test. To carry out the research, we selected a study group made up of ten girls and boys. The results show the need for the design of strategies that allow the development of algebraic thinking that starts from the categories pattern and sequence, concluding that it is necessary to gradually incorporate activities that promote the development of algebraic thinking in girls and boys.El pensamiento matemático es fundamental para el desarrollo de habilidades en los niños. Por tal motivo surgió esta investigación, la cual tiene como objetivo interpretar el proceso de construcción del pensamiento algebraico emergente en la primera infancia, este proceso de construcción es elemento que permitirá el diseño de estrategias instruccionales. La metodología se abordó desde un enfoque cualitativo. Este es un estudio de casos, apoyado por una investigación interpretativa-descriptiva. Los resultados se obtuvieron a través de la aplicación de un pre y post test. Para ejecutar la investigación, el grupo de estudio seleccionado estuvo conformado diez niñas y niños. Los resultados establecen la necesidad del diseño de estrategias que permitan el desarrollo del pensamiento algebraico a partir de las categorías patrón y secuencia, concluyendo que incorporar actividades progresivas promoverán el desarrollo del pensamiento algebraico en las niñas y niños
