TOEFL iBTにおけるスピーキング測定とライティング測定の妥当性,信頼性,実現性の検証
Full text link本稿は, TOEFL iBTのスピーキングカ測定とライティングカ測定の妥当性,信頼性,実現性を検証することを目的とする。ワークショップでの筆者の受験者と採点者としての体験と資料を基に検証を行った。結果は,第1にスピーキングもライティングも採点の信頼性を高めるかなりの配慮がなされている事が明らかになった。第2にスピーキングの妥当性については,表面妥当性と内容妥当性は高いが,構成概念妥当性については弱い。第3にライティングの妥当性は複数の言語技能を用いて統合タスクを課しているが,構成概念は伝統的な論述的形式で,講義と文献のポイントを網羅的にまとめる基本的な書く能力に留まっている。最後に,TOEFL iBTの実現生については,表面的なアピール度は高いが,施設や費用,採点者などの訓練など課題は多い。This paper will examine the validity, reliability and practicality of the speaking test and writing test of TOEFL iBT on the basis of the writer s experience as both an examinee and a scorer in the workshop, including reference to training materials. The results revealed the following. Firstly,considerable efforts are made to enhance the reliability of scoring on both the speaking and writing tests. Secondly, regarding the validity of the speaking test, face validity and content validity are strong, but construct validity is weak. Thirdly, the writing test requires an integrative task using multiple language skills, but it ends up with traditional argumentative writing and fundamental writing skills, such as holistically summarizing the main points of lectures and written references. Lastly, the practicality of TOEFL iBT reveals appealing strengths, but it also contains several weaknesses, such as facilities, the testing fee, and scorer training .application/pdfdepartmental bulletin pape

沖縄の字公民館幼稚園の成立に関する研究
Full text link戦前から戦後にかけて、沖縄の字(集落)公民館では、字幼稚園と呼ばれる、保育・幼児教育施設が存在していた。本研究は、1963年に琉球政府が実施した調査の分析を通して、沖縄全域の字幼稚園の実態を明らかにした。沖縄の字幼稚園は、集落の相互扶助により生まれ出たものであり、字民が主体となって設立したものであった。また、公私立の保育園や幼稚園が未整備な地区では、字幼稚園が就学前の子どもの保育・教育を支える地域の教育組織として重要な役割を果たしていた。一方、字幼稚園の保母手当は保護者の負担であり、行政の支援も不十分であったため、園の運営状況は、不安定であった。Community-based kindergartens existed at community centers in Okinawa before, during, and after World War II. This study describes and discusses the conditions of community-based kindergartens throughout Okinawa by analyzing investigations into kindergarten education completed by the Government of the Ryukyu Islands in 1963, The investigations done in 1963 revealed that community-based kindergartens were developed and established through the mutual support of community members working together. These community-based kindergartens played essential roles in nurturing young children and served as regional educational systems in areas where public and/or private kindergartens had not yet been established. Though serving an important role in educating young children, the management of community-based kindergartens tended to be unstable due to limited administrative support and a fee-paying structure which required parents to fund the salaries of kindergarten teachers.application/pdfdepartmental bulletin pape
沖縄県屋我地島の饒平名干潟に分布拡大するヒルギダマシ (Avicennia marina) に関する研究 : 国内移入したマングローブ種の分布動態
Full text link熱帯を起源とするマングローブは，海水から汽水域にかけて生育する樹木の総称である。琉球列島には7種(オヒルギ，メヒルギ，ヤエヤマヒルギ，ヒルギモドキ，ヒルギダマシ，マヤプシキ，ニッパヤシ)のマングローブが分布し，沖縄島にはオヒルギ，メヒルギ，ヤエヤマヒルギ，ヒルギモドキの4種が自然分布する。近年，自然分布の北限が宮古島とされるヒルギダマシが沖縄島にも生育することが確認されている。本論文では，ヒルギダマシの生育が確認された屋我地島(饒平名干潟)に分布するマングロープの分布状況をライントランセクト法および同干潟を撮影した写真画像(航空写真ならびに衛星写真)により明らかにした。ライントランセクト法では，オヒルギ，メヒルギおよび国内移入種であるヒルギダマシの分布状況を把握し，写真画像では， 2003年から2012年までの同干潟におけるマングロープの分布面積の変化を明らかにした。分布は，ヒルギダマシ個体数が他種に比べ2～3倍も多く，分布面積の変化は2007年以後に急激な拡大が起こっていた。マングローブの分布面積を急激に広げた種は，国内移入種であるヒルギダマシであるがことがライントランセクト法(幼樹個体数が多い)ならびに現場観察より明らかになった。ヒルギダマシの急激な個体数の増加と分布面積の拡大は，同干潟生態系への悪影響が懸念され，緊急にヒルギダマシの駆除について検討をする必要がある。Seven species of mangrove, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, Kandelia obovata, Rhizophora mucronata,Sonneratia alba, Avicennia marina, Lumnitzera racemosa, and Nypa fruticans, are distributed in Okinawa Prefecture. Four species, B. gymnorrhiza, K. obovata, R. mucronata and L. racemosa, are naturally distributed in Okinawa Island. However, the distribution of A. marina, of its natural northern limit had been in Miyako Island, was discovered in recent years in Okinawa Island. In this paper, the distribution of mangroves in the tideland of Yohena coast in Yagaji Island, Okinawa, Japan, where the distribution expansion of A. marina were observed in recent years, is reported based on the results of line transect study and photograph images analysis (aerial and satellite). The distribution of B. gymnorrhiza, K. obovata and A. marina were studied by the line transect, and distribution expansion of mangrove was analyzed on the photograph images. The number of individuals of A. marina was more than two to three times of those of the other species, and the distribution expansion occurred rapidly in 2007. Since the rapid increase and expansion of A. marina may cause negative effects to the tideland ecosystem, it seems necessary eradication of this rapidly increasing and expanding A. marina.application/pdfdepartmental bulletin pape
痛みを伴う処置を受ける際の付き添いに対する保護者の認識
Full text link本研究の目的は，子どもが痛みを伴う処置を受けた時，保護者は子どもの付添いについて，どのように考えていたかを明らかにし，子どもとその保護者の希望にそった付添いの在り方を検討することである。A県6保育園の保護者313名のうち付き添いが可能な病院であれば98.6％の保護者が，付添いを希望していたが，57.7％の保護者は子どもの処置時に付添えなかった経験を持っていた。しかし，付き添った保護者の方が子どもが「怖がった」「暴れた」「泣いた」とする割合は，付き添わなかった保護者よりも有意に少なくなっていた。付添いができないと断られたと仮定した場合は，お願いしてぜひ付添うと回答した保護者の割合は39.0％に減少した。また，過去に付き添いができた保護者は，付き添いを断られてもお願いしてぜひ付き添うとしたものが55.7％であったのに対し，過去に断られた経験のある保護者は26.7％にとどまった。過去に付添いができたかできなかったかにより，その後の保護者の付添いへの認識にも差が出ることが示唆された。保護者の付添いにより児への安寧が示唆されたが，病院の方針により保護者は付添いを諦める現状があり，看護者は処置時の保護者の付添いを積極的に呼びかける必要がある。This study aimed to clarify parents' desire to accompany their children when the children received painful medical procedures, and to find a desirable way to deal with this issue. Although 98.6% of 313 parents in six nurseries wished to be present if the hospital allows, 57.7% of the parents experienced not being allowed to be present. As to children's uneasiness such as fear，crying, and acting up, the children accompanied by parents showed significantly lower ratios than unaccompanied ones. When parents experienced not being allowed to be with their children, the percentage of parents asking to be present insistently decreased to only 39.0% among all parents. Besides, parents who had experienced being allowed to accompany their children indicated that 55.7% of those asked more often. On the contrary, it was only 26.7% of parents who had experienced refusal to be present who asked more. These results suggested that parents' awareness about being present was different in respect to whether they had experience of being allowed to attend their children's care or not. Although it was suggested that the children's relief depended on parents' accompanying them, parents generally tend to give up asking due to hospitals' rules. Therefore, hospital rules need to be changed in order to allow parents to accompany their children, and nurses should positively recommend parents and guardians to be present when children receive painful medical procedures.application/pdfdepartmental bulletin pape
造礁サンゴ３属 （Echinomorpha, Micromussa および Stylaraea） の和名について
Full text link日本産の造礁サンゴ類で，未だ和名(日本語の名称)が与えられていない種は多いが，日本語の属名のない属もある。専門的にサンゴを扱う研究者ならともかく，一般市民の学習支援のためのサンゴやサンゴ礁に関連したワークショップや手引書などで，サンゴが学名のみで示される場合は，受講者たちにとって身近に感じにくいことがあるという。このような状況も考慮して，これらのサンゴにも和名を与えておいた方がよいと思われる。そのため，和名が与えられるIsopora属(深見ら，2013投稿中)を除いて，和名がついていないと考えられる少数の種からなる小さな属であるEchinomorpha，MicromussaおよびStylaraea に日本語の属名を，また S.punctataには和名を提案する。application/pdfdepartmental bulletin pape
