Development of child healthy upbringing policies of Japan
Get PDFapplication/pdfJournal Article児童福祉法制定時につくられた児童の健全育成の理念は、すべての児童を対象とする児童福祉法の理念を具体化するものとして使用されている。しかし、日本の児童の健全育成政策は、児童福祉法に規定されながらも、一方で体系的に整備されてこなかった可能性がある。したがって、本論文では、日本の児童の健全育成政策の全体像を整理するために、関係する健全育成政策および、主たる健全育成政策の担当省庁の基本的な考え方についてまとめ、日本の児童の健全育成政策の成立展開を明らかにすることを目的とする。その結果、関係する健全育成政策の全体像を整理すると、日本の健全育成の捉え方は、原則的には児童福祉法に規定されながらも、体系的に進められてきたものではなかったために、厚生労働行政における児童の健全育成とはその内容や理念が異なることが明らかになった。The philosophy of sound development of children created at the time of enactment of the Child Welfare Law is used as materializing the philosophy of the Child Welfare Act for all children. However, while health regulation policies of children in Japan are stipulated in the Child Welfare Law, there is a possibility that they have not been systematically developed. Therefore, in this paper, we summarize the classification of related sound development policies and the basic ideas and policies of the ministries responsible for the main sound development policy, in order to arrange the overall picture of the establishment and development of health promotion policy in Japan, It is aimed to classify health promotion policies of children in Japan. As a result, when classifying related health development policies, since the way to capture soundness of Japan is basically prescribed in the Child Welfare Law, it has not been systematically advanced, so the welfare labor administration It is revealed that its content and idea are different from the health development of children.journal articl
A Idea on Tourism in Kanazawa for Inbound
Get PDFapplication/pdfJournal Article近年、海外からの旅行者の需要、いわゆるインバウンドを取り込むための試みが盛んに行われるようになってきた。最近では、東京から大阪に掛けてのいわゆるゴールデンルートだけではなく、地方へと海外からの旅行者の目も向き始めている。各地の観光協会や旅行者はこのインバンドを取り組むため、様々な取り組みを行っている。この際、日本人に定番の観光資源だけではなく、日本人には分からないが海外からの旅行者には大変魅力的な観光資源を見出すことが重要である。渋谷のスクランブル交差点などはこれに関しての有名な例のひとつであるが、地方を訪れる海外からの旅行者が魅力を感じるものとして、日本の伝統的な街並みなども上げることができる。著者らは、金沢を例として、日本人と海外からの旅行者の興味（評価）の違いに注目して、海外からの旅行者の視点から金沢の観光資源を見出す取り組みを行ってきた。そこで本稿では、今までの取り組みを整理した後、考察として概観し、今後の方向性について検討する。この取り組みは、金沢だけではなく、新潟県が佐渡金銀山の世界遺産登録を目指す上でも参考になるものと考える。journal articl
High-Frequency and Academic English Vocabulary Growth Among First-Year Students at UNP
Get PDFapplication/pdfThe present study reports on assessment of high-frequency and academic English vocabulary prior to university and at the end of each of the first two semesters of study at the University of Niigata Prefecture (UNP) (n = 292). Using a test of the New General Service List (NGSL) to assess comprehension of high-frequency words, about two-thirds of the cohort began university with mastery of test levels 1 and 2 (the most frequent 1,120 modified lemmas) while less than one-third began with mastery of levels 3 through 5 (the next most frequency 1,680 modified lemmas); knowledge of words on the NGSL increased during the year, but problematic deficiencies persisted at all test levels. Using a test of the New Academic Word List (NAWL) to measure knowledge of academic terms, very few students entered university with satisfactory understanding of the words on this list, and there were only small gains during the study period. Considering the importance of highfrequency and common academic vocabulary, the results suggest that many UNP first-year students would benefit from intentional study of unknown words on the NGSL, and almost all would benefit from intentional study of unknown words on the NAWL.journal articl

The educational significance of using puppets to nurture childcare professionals: Through initiatives in the use of puppetry in lessons
Get PDFapplication/pdfJournal Article本論は保育者養成校の授業における人形劇の取り組みについての教育的意義を、学生の学びの内容や意識の変容を基に報告するものである。方法としては、学生の授業における振り返りレポートの分析及び質問紙調査による考察を行った。結果、学生の学びの内容には「グループ活動の意味」「表現技術・技能の習得」「保育への活用法」「自己意識の変容（意欲や感動、達成感等）」「人形劇の理解」があげられた。特に「自己意識の変容」では「人前で表現する自信が生まれた」という個人の人間的成長に結びつくものと、発信する立場と受信する立場の双方の視点の獲得や他者理解というコミュニケーションに関するものも含まれた。また、ほとんどの学生が自己の表現力（表現技術・技能）の習得に人形劇の取り組みが役立ったと自覚し、加えて「表現モデル」の面からも将来の保育に活かせるという意識を持つに至ったことが質問紙調査により明らかになった。以上から、授業における人形劇の取り組みを通して学生は、人形劇の魅力や特質、協力の大切さを学び、演技や人形制作によって表現技術・技能及び表現力を高め、将来の保育活動での人形劇の活用への見通しを持てたことがその教育的意義として示された。尚、この教育的成果にはアクティブ・ラーニングの学習形態が大きな要因の一つとして考えられる。In this paper, we would like to report on the educational significance of using puppets in a course at a childcare worker training school on the basis of what students learned from it and how their awareness changed. As an investigative method, we analyzed the students' lesson summary reports and we also conducted questionnaire surveys and examined them. The results showed that what they learned included "the significance of group activities", "the acquisition of techniques and skills of expression", "how to apply it to childcare", "a transformation of self-awareness (motivation, pressiveness, having a sense of achievement, etc.)" and "an understanding of puppet theater". In particular, for "their transformation of self-awareness", the answers were divided into two categories, one related to personal growth, with items such as "I was able to gain the confidence to express things in public", and the other was related to their communication skills for understanding others and bilateral viewpoints, meaning the party giving information and the party receiving it, such as "When acting out something, I hope that the audience pays attention, so I understand it's important to refrain from talking when they are viewing something, even when it is a very basic manner. The questionnaire survey revealed that most students felt that the puppetry experiences helped them acquire self-expression skills (skills and techniques for expression), and in addition, they also felt that they could make use of the experience as an "expression model" in their future childcare experiences. Based on the above, we found that students learned the attractiveness and characteristics of puppetry as well as the importance of cooperation, through puppetry activities in class, and they were able to notice an improvement in their expression ability and skills by acting with and creating dolls. Therefore, we believe that an educational significance was shown since students achieved the prospect of
utilizing puppetry for future childcare activities. Incidentally, the learning style of active learning is considered as one of the major factors in this educational outcome.journal articl
How Do Exporters Respond to Exogenous Shocks: Evidence from Japanese Firm-Level Data
Get PDFapplication/pdfTechnical ReportThis study investigates how exporters respond to an exogenous shock, using the 2012 customer boycott of Japanese products in China that occurred after political conflict over the islands in the East China Sea. By using Japanese firm-level data for 2011-2013 and employing the difference-in-differences method, we conduct an assessment of the boycott. We find that Japanese firms faced a large decrease in exports to China after the 2012 boycott and that the decrease in exports was more pronounced for arm's length exports than intra-firm exports. In addition, the estimation results provide evidence that Japanese firms exporting to China responded to the exogenous trade shock by reducing their number of temporary workers. This finding suggests that trade shocks due to international conflict hit the most insecure workers.technical repor
Analysis and interpretation of Frederic Rzewski’s North American Ballads
Get PDFapplication/pdfJournal Articleフレデリック・ジェフスキーは現代音楽の重要な音楽家の一人であり、作曲家・ピアニストとして現在も世界中で活躍している。近年、彼の作品は日本を含めた多くの国で演奏され、彼自身、ピアニストとしても精力的に演奏活動を続けている。しかし、ジェフスキーや彼の作品に関する研究は日本ではほとんどなされていない。本研究では、彼の代表的なピアノ作品「ノース・アメリカン・バラード」に焦点を当て、ジェフスキーの音楽の研究を行った。アメリカの労働問題や社会問題をテーマにしたフォーク・ソングである「恐ろしい記憶」「お前はどちら側の人間だ？」「川岸を下って」「ウィンスボロ工場のブルース」の4曲をもとにして作られた彼のピアノ曲「ノース・アメリカン・バラード」について楽曲分析を行い、それらの音の中にアメリカの社会背景がどのように反映されているかを見ることが本論文の目的である。その結果、対位法やクラスター等の様々な作曲技法を駆使しながら、シンプルなフォーク・ソングを複雑な現代曲に変奏していく過程がわかり、曲の背景にある社会問題を音楽で表現していることが明らかとなった。楽曲を分析していくことにより、過酷な労働に対する批判や貧困で嘆き悲しむ人々の叫びや苦しみを曲の中で表していることがわかった。本研究が日本におけるジェフスキー研究のきっかけとなり、ピアニストにとって、彼の曲を理解して演奏するための一助となることを期待する。Frederic Rzewski is one of the important musicians of contemporary music, and has been active all over the world as a composer and a pianist. In recent years, not only his works have been performed in many countries including Japan, but also he himself has been playing vigorously as a pianist. Nevertheless, in Japan, there are few studies concerning Rzewski and his works. In this research, a study of Rzewski’s music is conducted focusing on one of his major piano works, "North American Ballads." The purpose of this study is to see how the American social background is reflected upon this work, by analyzing “North American Ballads” which is composed based on four folk songs on the theme of American labor and social issues; “Dreadful Memories,” “Which Side are You on?” “Down by the Riverside,” and “Winnsboro Cotton Mill Blues.” As a result, a process of altering simple folk songs into complex contemporary music by utilizing composition techniques such as cluster and counterpoint is revealed, and it becomes clear that social background behind this work is expressed through music. Further analysis also revealed that the music expresses the criticism on hard labor and the cries and suffering of the people living in poverty. It is expected that this study motivates further study on Rzewski in Japan, and becomes an aid for pianists to understand and perform his music.journal articl
