No full textThe long-expected Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum: Asian Art and Culture Museum finally launches a soft opening on December 28, 2015, fulfilling the promise that the government had made to the public, in particular to the people in southern Taiwan. From its inception to fruition, the fifteen-year long Southern Branch project underwent the administrations of the two presidents of the Republic of China, Chen Shui-bian and Ma Ying-jeou, as well as the leadership of five consecutive directors: Tu Cheng-sheng, Shih Shou- chien, Lin Mun-lee, Chou Kung-shin, and Fung Ming-chu.Introduction

No full textพิพิธภัณฑ์เกี่ยวกับเพศ นำเสนอเรื่องเพศโดยเฉพาะ เช่น ประเภทของเพศสภาวะปกติทางเพศและความวิปริตที่เกิดขึ้น โดยพิพิธภัณฑ์ได้ใช้จอแสดงผลเป็นเทคนิคสำหรับการถ่ายทอดหรือสอนในเรื่องของความสัมพันธ์ทางเพศ ส่วนใหญ่พิพิธภัณฑ์จะจัดแสดงนิทรรศการเรื่องเพศ ให้ความรู้ในเรื่องต่าง ๆ เช่น โครงสร้างแบบดั้งเดิมของความใกล้ชิดทางเพศ เพศและการแข่งขัน วัฒนธรรมทางเพศ การแสดงตัวตนทางเพศ รูปปั้นเปลือยมีตั้งแต่นิทรรศการที่แสดงภาพโป๊เปลือยและรวมถึงวิถีของเพศที่มีความหลากหลาย เป็นต้น

Masterworks of the Kyoto National Museum : Temple and Shrine Treasures
No full textFounded in the late 19th century, the Kyoto National Museum was originally a repository for sacred treasures owned by temples and shrines. Some of the most important works it houses are not owned by the museum, but are on long-term loan from such institutions.
To celebrate Kyoto’s hosting of the International Council of Museums General Conference this coming September, the Kyoto National Museum has organized an exhibition showcasing specially selected masterpieces from the 6,200 works it currently houses.
Included in the lineup is “Wind God and Thunder God” by Tawaraya Sotatsu (1596-1644), a set of gold screens from Kennin-ji Temple that are designated National Treasures

No full text"The Building of the National Museum of African American History and Culture traces the making of this unparalleled museum. Founding director Lonnie G. Bunch III described it as "ten years in the making, and 100 years in the making," and Mabel O. Wilson explores that effort in her narrative. As she discovers, initial calls for a permanent place to collect, study, and present African American history and culture in the early twentieth century never got off the ground.
