Artificial intelligence for individuals with disabilities in higher education institutions: a systematic review
No full textWith the growing integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in education, its potential to support students with disabilities in higher education remains significant but underexplored. This systematic review synthesizes existing literature on AI's effectiveness, barriers, and implications for inclusive education. Using the sample, phenomenon of interest, design, evaluation, and research type (SPIDER) framework, studies published between 2013 and 2024 were identified through a systematic search in databases such as PubMed, Scopus, Embase, Cochrane Library, and Google Scholar. Eighteen studies met the inclusion criteria, focusing on higher education settings and students with disabilities. The findings emphasize AI's role in enhancing accessibility, personalizing learning experiences, and fostering inclusiveness. However, persistent challenges include technological barriers, ethical concerns, and insufficient training. While AI holds transformative potential to support students with disabilities in higher education, addressing infrastructure gaps and ethical and training deficiencies is crucial for sustainable implementation and equitable learning environments

The project to extract and exploit productive labor however required that the colonial state form a knowledge base of their subjects. As the British merchants became rulers of India, they had to develop an understanding of Indian society. The anxiety that the colonizers felt in their inability to understand Indians, their customs, religions, state structures, and various other facets of life led them to produce and catalog a “knowledge” of Indian society. During the initial stages of colonialism, this project was driven by a general fascination with India’s ancient past—for it was their understanding that it was in the ancient past that an “unsullied” knowledge of India could be found. Beginning in the early nineteenth century however, the colonial state increasingly sought to explain the backwardness of India through racial differences—an understanding that dominated colonial state’s politics and policies until the twentieth century
Using 5g for virtual reality applications in entertainment and gaming
No full textIn recent years, virtual reality has started to use the fast speeds of wireless networks and data streaming technologies. However, due to limitations like bandwidth and latency, we are currently unable to create high-fidelity telepresence and collaborative virtual reality applications. Fortunately, these problems are known to engineers and academics, who are working to create 5G networks to ease the transition to the next generation of virtual interfaces. A significant advancement in immersive experiences will result from the combination of 5G technology and virtual reality (VR) applications in entertainment and gaming. In order to improve the performance and usability of VR in the entertainment and gaming industries, this research examines the transformational potential of using 5G networks. It explores the advantages, 54difficulties, and practical applications of this synergy and offers insights into how 5G is changing how entertainment and gaming are experienced in the future. This paper covers current virtual reality communications technologies and discusses current initiatives to construct a reliable, all-encompassing 5G network to support meeting the demands of virtual applications. On the basis of this new network infrastructure, we address application requirements in industries like entertainment and gaming and offer guidance and future growth paths
Emotional education as a means of developing social competence in primary school students in wartime
Get PDFEmotional education is key for primary school children, as it promotes their emotional development and successful socialization. Specialized mobile software, which are integrated into psychological and pedagogical support programmes for primary school students, can help in the development of children’s emotional intelligence (EI). The aim of the research was to analyse the effectiveness of using two mobile applications (Emotional and Bouncy the People Trainer). They were designed to stimulate the EI growth among children aged 6-9. The research methods included psychological methods from the EQ.app kids computer software, emotional education programmes developed on the basis of socio-emotional learning (SEL) methods, mathematical statistics methods (correlation analysis, Pearson correlation coefficient, Student’s t-test). Analysis of the dynamics of EI indicators revealed significant differences between the experimental group (EG) and control group (CG) on pre-tests and post-tests. In the EG, a statistically significant improvement (p-value = 0.000) was observed in the indicators of emotional praxis by 8.57 points, in perceptual and language components by 10.63 points. This gives grounds to conclude that working in two mobile applications helped to develop children’s EI. At the same time, the CG remained at their pre-test scores, showing no improvement. Research prospects include a deeper study of the impact of different methods of emotional education on the children’s mental state and social skills, as well as an analysis of the long-term consequences of such programmes. It is important to study the integration of digital technologies in the process of emotional education, evaluate the effectiveness of various mobile applications, online platforms and other digital tools for the development of EI and social competence
Exploring social responsibility towards gig workers: A comprehensive review and future research directions

This study aims to present a comprehensive review of the scientific literature on gig work and the social responsibility towards them; the study highlights the evolving nature of work, career and organisation, focussing on their social responsibility towards gig work.
Design/methodology/approach
A systematic review of 186 selected articles published since the beginning of the gig economy research. Quantitative bibliometric and framework-based review techniques were used to analyse theoretical nuances, themes, antecedents and contextual factors.
Findings
Factors responsible for the social responsibility towards gig work were identified. The factors were categorised into individual, organisational and social-related attributes. Overall, the contextual factors, top articles, authors and journals suggested that gig work research is increasing exponentially across the globe.
Research limitations/implications
The understanding of the factors influencing the gig work explored, the long-term implications of disruptions or gig workers’ well-being and exploring the impact of social and cultural aspects of the gig work research.
Originality/value
To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is one of the first studies to analyse the factors influencing social responsibility towards gig work in the changing nature of work, career and organisation. The study provides future directions for expanding the scholarship, resulting in the sustainability of this form of employment
