The purpose of this study was to measure the impact of Indonesia research especially in agriculture published in international Scopus journals using Altmetrics. This research method consisted of problem identification, data collection, data preprocessing, Altmetrics approach analysis, and final analysis. The data of this study were obtained from Scopus.com citation metadata by writing the Agriculture keyword and Indonesian affiliation that the limited year from 2015-2017. Altmetrics data is obtained from Altmetric.com; Altmetrics Explorer for Librarian by extracting DOIs from each publication of scientific work. Then the data is analyzed by the Altmetrics approach, namely Facebook Coverage and Mention Rate. This study performed an analysis based on Altmetrics data share to know the popularity Indonesian research in Scopus journal and analyzed the correlation between Citation data Indonesian research in Scopus journal and Altmetrics data share of Altmetric.com. This study analyzed the impact of 4484 Indonesia research articles published by Scopus journals in the field of agriculture through Altmetrics and compared it with bibliometrics. The result showed that Coverage and Mention Rate of social media only were below 30% which was not too significant in the content discussed, view & reader and mention on social media

The study aims to find out whether important search techniques could be employed to find records in the ten online public access catalogs (OPACs) tested. The following search tests are conducted: (1) test to determine the fields used as access point to records, and the number of fields searched when a two-word syntax was used; (2) search using one to three charaters, one word, and English stopwords; (3) search using boolean AND, OR or NOT and their combinations; (4) phrase search; (5) truncation search; and (6) search using filters (e.g., language or year of publication) provided by the OPACs. Results of the tests were: (1) access to records was available through title, author, subject, series, and note in eight systems; (2) a two-word syntax was searched only in one field in all systems; (3) English words and syntaxes of one to three characters were searched in eight systems; (4) boolean operators AND, OR and NOT and their combinations could be used only in one system; (5) search employing filters could be performed in three systems. It was concluded that nine of the ten OPACs could not provide optimal access to records. The OPAC is the only access to library collections for those who search through the Internet; therefore, complete search tests of its search facilities are required before a system is released. Further research is needed to find efficient search test methods that could be used by the developers and librarians to prove that a search facility functions

The problems of producing high quality scientific articles are not only using very poor sources of new literature as references, but also difficulties in determining the position of the research. Consequently the existence of research position in the scientific world becomes not clear.  This paper explored the answer to those problems statement above using citation analysis method to 93 articles in a scientific journal. The journal used for this research is Journal “Inkom”, covering scientific articles of informatics, computer, and control system, from 2007 to 2012, produced by The Research Center for Informatics Indonesian Institute of Sciences. The aims of this research are: (1) to study the most cited authors; (2) to study the most cited bibliographic resources; (3) to study the most cited subjects. In order to achieve those aims, this research uses method of quantitative approach through bibliometrics analysis to study article characteristics using citation analysis. The results from 667 cited articles showed that: (1) the most cited authors is Malvino. Whereas three other most frequent cited authors are Elan, Murni, and Rivest; (2) kind of the most cited literature is book, 48.87%, followed by cited literature from internet 18.44% and from journals 16,19%; (3) the average of cited literature perarticle is 7; and (4) the most cited subjects is electronics. The results of citation analysis showed that there are increasing quality of scientific articles with clear research position, supported by appropriate literature sources. In 2012 there are 197 citations from 17 articles, the average of citation for one article is 11, this means that there are increasing numbers of using the citation compared to the year before. In general, the science coverage dominating citations in Journal “Inkom” are the subjects of electronics, sensors and algorithms. The result showed that there are dominating subjects citations related to the year of publications: 2007-2009 in computers (electronics), 2011 in control systems (sensors), and 2012 in informatics (algorithms)
