La muerte de los animales al inicio del Libro del caballero Zifar
No full textThe first part of the Libro del caballero Zifar is based on the hagiographic legend of Saint Eustace transmitted by the stories El Cavallero Plácidas and the Estoria del rey Guillelme in Escorial MS h-I-13. The theme of the death of the animals at the beginning of these stories allows us to appreciate the survival of motifs and traditions in the Castilian adventure story, as well as its chivalric reformulation from the medieval consideration of animals as human property, its symbolism for the chivalric status and the corresponding association between men and animals, as testified in the cultural productions of the beginning of the 14th century.La primera parte del Libro del caballero Zifar se basa en la leyenda hagiográfica de san Eustaquio transmitida por los relatos El Cavallero Plácidas y la Estoria del rey Guillelme presentes en el Ms. h-I-13 de la Biblioteca de San Lorenzo de El Escorial. El tema de la muerte de los animales al inicio de estas historias permite apreciar la pervivencia de motivos y tradiciones en el relato de aventuras castellano, así como su reformulación caballeresca a partir de la consideración medieval de los animales como propiedad humana, su simbolismo para el estatus caballeresco y la asociación correspondiente entre hombres y animales, según se testimonia en las producciones culturales de principios del siglo XIV

No full textEn el año 1915, João José Ferreira Rego, acaudalado empresario enriquecido en Brasil, encomienda a Ernesto Korrodi un extravagante palacete en el pueblo de Palmeira (Braga) en honor a su mujer Francisca Peixoto Rego -conocida por el sobrenombre de Dona Chica-. Se trata de una obra de madurez, en la que el arquitecto suizo conjuga sus conocimientos teóricos de corte medieval con las nuevas corrientes artísticas procedentes de Europa. El Palácio de Dona Chica -actualmente en estado ruinoso- constituirá uno de los ejemplos más interesante y megalómanos de la arquitectura finisecular portuguesa
Nueva aportación al catálogo de escultura en barro de Luisa Roldán “La Roldana”: La Virgen de Belén
No full textAnálisis formal de una obra inédita de La Roldana descubierta en Córdoba que representa la iconografía mariana de Nuestra Señora de Belén, cuyo núcleo devocional se encuentra en el complejo ermitaño del mismo nombre situado en la sierra cordobesa. Esta pieza se une al catálogo mariano de pequeño formato esculpido en barro que la autora sevillana realiza durante su vida artística, siendo en este caso una reinterpretación tridimensional de un icono de importante calado en la religiosidad popular andaluza. En este escrito se rea- lizará un análisis formal y comparativo de la pieza, con el fin de corroborar, a través de las similitudes morfológicas y compositivas de la imagen, que efectivamente nos encontramos ante una obra procedente del quehacer de Luisa Roldán

In October 2018, after the restoration carried out by Enrique Salvo Rabasco, an unpublished document was found inside the sculpture which confirms the authorship of Palma Burgos and also confirms the date of completion in the early fear of 1940.El objetivo de este artículo es poner en valor la talla del mártir San Sebastián que encontramos en la malagueña localidad de Algarrobo. En octubre de 2018, durante la restauración llevada a cabo por Enrique Salvo Rabasco, se halló en su interior un documento inédito que confirmó la autoría de Francisco Palma Burgos y fijó su ejecución en el temprano año de 1940

¡Lo que yo de cura! El «antiprototipo» en las construcciones comparativas intensificadoras desde un punto de vista construccionista
No full textThis paper analyzes the intesifying comparative construction [SN VTENER de ADJ lo (mismo) que X (de Y)]: ‘not being ADJ at all’, which allows for the creation of structures such as «Pues te digo: esos jóvenes tienen de solidario lo que yo de cura». In such a construction, intensification is achieved by means of a semantic and pragmatic incongruence between the slots X and Y (as in the example: yo vs. cura), whereby the standard of comparison Y (cura) becomes an «antiprototype», as opposed to what occurs in most stereotyped comparisons (e. g. dormir como un liron). Within the framework of Construction Grammar, the main goal is to demonstrate, through corpus analysis (esTenTen18 corpus), that the antiprototype is not fixed at the lexical level, but through a cognitive core. A qualitative study of the slot Y of the standard of comparison is carried out in order to find out which cognitive clusters promote pragmatic incongruence, as well as to explore how the maximum level of extravagance is reached.. En este trabajo analizamos la construcción comparativa intensificadora [SN VTENER de ADJ lo (mismo) que X (de Y)]: ‘no ser ADJ en absoluto’, la cual licencia instancias del tipo «Pues te digo: esos jóvenes tienen de solidario lo que yo de cura». En dicha construcción, la intensificación se logra por medio de una incongruencia semántica y pragmática entre los slots X e Y (en el ejemplo: yo vs. cura), actuando el comparatum Y (cura) como «antiprototipo», al contrario de lo que sucede en la mayoría de las comparaciones estereotipadas (p. ej., dormir como un liron). En el marco de la Gramática de Construcciones, el principal objetivo será demostrar, por medio de un análisis de corpus (esTenTen18), que el antiprototipo no está fijado a nivel léxico, sino cognitivamente. Para ello haremos un estudio cualitativo de las actualizaciones del slot Y del comparatum, con el fin de averiguar qué campos cognitivos favorecen la incongruencia pragmática y cómo se consigue el máximo nivel de extravagancia
May the Illocutionary Force Be with You: the Anaphora Rule in English-Spanish Voice-over Translation
No full textThis paper explores the rendition possibilities of English deaccenting by anaphora rule (given information) in Spanish voice-over translation by means of a study of 9 unscripted programmes, including documentaries, reality shows and news interviews. The intonational component of source languages in translation has barely gained any attention in Audiovisual Translation (AVT), even when English prosody is immensely rich from a communicative and pragmatic perspective. In addition, we cannot expect to find a one-to-one relationship between the intonational systems of source and target languages, nor consider all parts of the source text equally relevant. For this reason, the deaccenting of old information in oral English and the pragmatic and illocutionary load that it carries need to be properly rendered in the target language, in our case Spanish, by means of the resources available in this language, which may not only be prosodic, but also syntactic and semantic.This paper explores the rendition possibilities of English deaccenting by anaphora rule (given information) in Spanish voice-over translation by means of a study of 9 unscripted programmes, including documentaries, reality shows and news interviews.
