No full textThe peace agreement that ended the armed conflict between the Government of Colombia and the FARC-EP armed group in 2016 was the result of a process of negotiations noted for its innovations, including those relating to the inclusion of the gender approach (Herbolzheimer). Among these, the treatment that the peace agreement gives to sexual violence perpetrated during the armed conflict stands out, recognizing the victims of this violation of human rights and denying impunity for its perpetrators. This article aims to analyse the process that led to the inclusion of sexual violence in the Colombian peace process by analysing, from a comparative perspective with other processes, the factors that promoted its inclusion, as well as the obstacles faced by the actors participating in the process and the influence that the existence of the agenda on women, peace and security had in this process.El acuerdo de paz que puso fin al conflicto armado entre el Gobierno de Colombia y el grupo armado de las FARC-EP en 2016 fue el resultado de un proceso de negociaciones destacado por sus innovaciones, entre las que cabe destacar las relativas a la inclusión del enfoque de género. Entre estas resalta el tratamiento que el acuerdo de paz da a la violencia sexual cometida durante el conflicto armado, reconociendo a las víctimas de esta violación a los derechos humanos y negando la impunidad para sus perpetradores. Este artículo pretende analizar el proceso que condujo a la inclusión de la violencia sexual en el proceso de paz colombiano analizando, desde una perspectiva comparada con otros procesos, los factores que impulsaron su inclusión, así como los obstáculos a los que se enfrentaron los actores participantes en el proceso y la influencia que en este proceso tuvo la existencia de la agenda sobre mujeres, paz y seguridad

No full textPigs and humans were linked before this animal developed its domestic characteristics. In its wild boar form, it was hunted, respected, and even admired by various prehistoric, protohistoric, and ancient societies and civilizations, and its image was used as a magical artefact, a prestigious ornament, a sacred symbol, or a funerary emblem. Quite different was the case with the common pig, which was gastronomically exalted and repudiated, but whose representation went almost unnoticed until the High Middle Ages. It was from this period onwards that both subspecies coexisted in art in a more obvious way, thanks to their iconographic characterization in treatises on venison, agricultural calendars, and heraldry.El porcino y el ser humano están vinculados desde antes de que aquel desarrollase sus caracteres domésticos. En su forma de jabalí, fue cazado, respetado e incluso admirado por diversas sociedades y civilizaciones prehistóricas, protohistóricas y de la Antigüedad, y su imagen fue utilizada como artefacto mágico, adorno de prestigio, símbolo sagrado o emblema funerario. Muy distinto fue el caso del cerdo común, que fue objeto de exaltación gastronómica o repugnancia a partes iguales, pero cuya representación pasó casi inadvertida hasta la Plena Edad Media. La princesa Elizabeth Bibesco: una novelista de la década de los años veinte
Get PDFPrincess Elizabeth Bibesco (1897-1945) was the daughter of Sir Herbert Henry Asquith, Prime Minister of Great Britain between 1908 and 1916, and wife of Prince Antoine Bibesco (1878-1951). During the 1920s Bibesco published two novels The Fir and the Palm and There Is No Return which include her into the same spiritual family as the literary impressionists of the time. Critics did not pay too much attention to this novelist of the 1920s who holds, however, a singular place in the literary life of the time. This paper is a close reading of Bibesco’s novels from the 1920 which proves her indebtedness to modernism and literary impressionism.La princesa Elizabeth Bibesco (1897-1945) era la hija de Sir Herbert Henry Asquith, Primer Ministro del Reino Unido entre 1908 y 1916, y la esposa del príncipe Antoine Bibesco (1878-1951). Durante la década de los años veinte Bibesco publicó dos novelas The Fir and the Palm y There Is No Return, que la sitúan en la misma familia espiritual que los impresionistas de su tiempo. La crítica no prestó demasiada atención a esta novelista de los años veinte, que, sin embargo, ocupó un lugar especial en la vida literaria de su tiempo. Sexualidad y maldad: Lady Macbeth en las adaptaciones cinematográficas indias de Macbeth Maqbool y Veeram
Get PDFAn early Indian film adaptation of Macbeth, Jwala (dir. Vinayak, 1938) shows a Lady Macbeth that sides with Banquo against Macbeth, as if an evil female character were difficult to conceive in the Indian imagination. In 21st century film adaptations of Macbeth, Maqbool (dir. Vishal Bhardwaj, 2003) and Veeram (dir. Jayaraj, 2017), the female character is as evil as in the source text. Yet, neither Nimmi (Lady Macbeth in Maqbool) nor Kuttimani (Lady Macbeth in Veeram) is married to Macbeth at the outset of the film, the implication being an Indian married woman is incapable of such atrocities. In both movies, sexual drive becomes crucial in the course of events. By analyzing the role of Lady Macbeth in Maqbool and Veeram, this paper aims to show that these Lady Macbeths are as based on the play as on the role of the vamp (the evil woman) in popular Indian movies, since characters that are sexually driven are always condemned to death.Una adaptación india de Macbeth llamada Jwala (dir. Vinayak, 1938) muestra una Lady Macbeth que se une a Banquo en contra de Macbeth, como si un personaje femenino malo fuera difícil de concebir en la India. En las adaptaciones cinematográficas indias de Macbeth del siglo xxi, Maqbool (dir. Vishal Bhardwaj, 2003) y Veeram (dir. Jayaraj, 2017), Lady Macbeth es tan cruel como en la obra original. Sin embargo, ni Nimmi (Lady Macbeth en Maqbool) ni Kuttimani (Lady Macbeth en Veeram) están casadas con Macbeth al principio de la película, con la implicación de que una mujer india casada es incapaz de cometer esas barbaridades. En las dos películas, el deseo sexual contribuye de forma significativa en el desarrollo de los hechos. No full textThe play Quatre femmes et le soleil (2004) by Jordi Pere Cerdà (Saillagouse, 1920-Perpignan, 2011), pseudonym of Antoine Cayrol, delves into the psychological tensions of some characters who profoundly portray the author’s contemporary rural and Pyrenean society, located in Cerdagne (on its French side) during the years of resistance against German occupation in World War II. Through this paper we will delve into the psychological complexity of each subject from an interest in spatiality, in order to appreciate to what extent the intimacy of the characters is built from the connection of their desires and frustrations with their surroundings, essentially, the natural space of the Cerdagne’s region.La obra de teatro Quatre femmes et le soleil (2004) de Jordi Pere Cerdà (Sallagosa, 1920-Perpiñán, 2011), pseudónimo de Antoine Cayrol, se adentra en las tensiones psicológicas de unos personajes que retratan de forma profunda a la sociedad rural y pirenaica contemporánea al autor, situada en la Cerdaña (en su lado francés) durante los años de Resistencia contra la ocupación alemana en la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Mediante este artículo ahondaremos en la complejidad psicológica de cada sujeto desde un interés sobre la espacialidad, a fin de apreciar hasta qué punto la intimidad de los personajes se construye a partir de la conexión de sus anhelos y frustraciones con su alrededor, en esencia, el espacio natural de la región cerdana.La pièce de théâtre Quatre femmes et le soleil (2004) de Jordi Pere Cerdà (Saillagouse, 1920-Perpignan, 2011), pseudonyme d’Antoine Cayrol, plonge dans les tensions psychologiques de personnages qui dépeignent profondément la société rurale et pyrénéenne contemporaine de l’auteur, située à la Cerdagne (côté français) pendant les années de Résistance contre l’occupation allemande dans la Seconde Guerre mondiale.
