Thanks to the use of new technologies, such as tablets, smartphones or e-books, the world of comics has been reinvented itself.
In this papper we will analyze the communication possibilities that these new supports can bring to this field and to its authors.
Observing the historical evolution of digital comics, it can be affirmed that it has followed a continuous trend towards refinement in narrative matters. This genesis between the worlds of animation, video games and classic comics has become the platform for a new way of communication that we know today as digital comics.Un cómic es un medio de comunicación artístico y como todo medio de comunicación, tiene la función de hacer llegar un mensaje del emisor al receptor.
Gracias a la aparición de nuevas tecnologías, como tablets, smartphones o e-books el mundo del cómic se ha reinventado.
En el presente artículo analizaremos las posibilidades narrativas que estos nuevos soportes aportan a este medio y a sus autores.

No full textComic stores are not merely distribution points for merchandise as they hold an ambivalent position between the comic industry and its consumers. They aim of this paper is to determine the commercial positioning of comic book stores in Spain. In doing so, netnography was used to analyse online reviews, while a personal survey conducted at the same stores helped to study the offline feedback. A total of 812 Google reviews were collected, of which 202 were valid. The results reveal that the most frequently cited perceptions were: positive word of mouth recommendations, pleasant emotions, the quality of comics, and the expertise of store staff. Nonetheless, the competitive pricing, hosting events, and the store’s overall aesthetic were key factors regarding the positioning of comic stores.Las librerías de cómics no son meros puntos de distribución de una mercancía, sino que ocupan una posición ambivalente entre la industria del cómic y sus consumidores. El objetivo de este trabajo es determinar el posicionamiento comercial de las librerías de cómics en España. Se analizaron las valoraciones on-line, mediante la netnografia, y las valoraciones off-line, mediante una encuesta personal realizada en las mismas librerías. Se recopilaron 812 reseñas de Google y 202 respuestas válidas en las encuestas. Los resultados muestran que las percepciones más citadas fueron: buena recomendación/boca-oído, sentimientos positivos, calidad de los cómics y conocimiento de los vendedores. Sin embargo, en el posicionamiento de las librerías de cómics destacaron: precio competitivo, realización de eventos y estética del local. 
Resistencias y contradicciones del derrotado en la novela gráfica El arte de volar de Antonio Altarriba
No full textIn the graphic novel The art of flying (2009) by Antonio Altarriba and Kim, the life and post-mortem testimony of its protagonist is narrated. The comic reconstructs in an evocative way the experiences and fall of Antonio Altarriba senior: he fought on the Republican side during the Spanish Civil War, had to go into exile to France after the defeat and return after a few years to Francoist Spain. In our work we will try to relativize this fall and observe the paradoxical constitution of the defeated.
Also, we will examine the collective dimension of the events experienced by the protagonist, since these are common to all those defeated by the war, the exiles and those who had to be silenced during the Franco regime. In this sense, we will study the underground memory expressed in the comic strip and the reasons why not only the context gave rise to works that restore the historical memory of these events, but also why this artistic medium was one of the most chosen to portray this type of stories. With this purpose, we will delve into its particularities and the proximity of the work with the current of underground comix.En la novela gráfica El arte de volar (2009) de Antonio Altarriba y Kim, se narra la vida y el testimonio post mortem de su protagonista. El cómic reconstruye de forma evocativa las vivencias y la caída de Antonio Altarriba padre: luchó en el bando republicano durante la Guerra Civil Española, tuvo que exiliarse a Francia luego de la derrota y regresar tras unos años a la España franquista. En nuestro trabajo intentaremos relativizar dicha caída y observar la constitución paradójica del derrotado.
También, examinaremos la dimensión colectiva de los sucesos vividos por el protagonista, ya que estos son comunes a todos aquellos vencidos de la guerra, los exiliados y los que debieron silenciarse durante el franquismo. En este sentido, estudiaremos la memoria subterránea expresada en la historieta y los motivos por los cuales no solo el contexto dio lugar a obras que restituyen la memoria histórica de estos hechos, sino también por qué este medio artístico fue uno de los más elegidos para retratar este tipo de historias. Con este propósito, ahondaremos en sus particularidades y en la cercanía de la obra trabajada con la corriente del comix underground
"En el 2020 comienza el futuro": narrativas e imaginarios especulativos en las audioseries de (ciencia) ficción latinoamericanas Caso 63 (2020) y Número Oculto (2022)
No full textThis article presents a comparative analysis of the Latin American sci-fic audio dramas Caso 63 (2020) and Número oculto (2022). Both productions, distributed by Spotify Studios, have gained prominence in the Spanish-speaking podcasting sphere, addressing classic topics of the genre such as time travel and dystopian futures. Through a focus on comparative literature, the study explores the main narrative lines and speculative imaginaries present in these audio dramas, highlighting their connection with the literature of the “new Hispanic apocalypticism”. The research also examines how these productions engage with contemporary science fiction trends, reflecting current anxieties about technological advancement and its impact on humanity, as well as the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic on the construction of these narratives. The study emphasizes the importance of audio dramas as intermedial study objects, capable of integrating and reconfiguring significant practices from both literature and audio. Ultimately, it concludes that Caso 63 and Número oculto are significant representations of contemporary speculative fiction, contributing to the dissemination of the genre in the Spanish-speaking world and offering new perspectives on the future of humanity in times of crisis.Este artículo realiza un análisis comparado entre las audioseries de ciencia ficción latinoamericanas Caso 63 (2020) y Número oculto (2022). Ambas producciones, distribuidas por Spotify Studios, han destacado en el ámbito del podcasting en español, abordando temas clásicos del género como los viajes en el tiempo y los futuros distópicos. A través del enfoque analítico de la literatura comparada, se exploran las principales líneas narrativas e imaginarios especulativos presentes en estas audioseries, destacando su relación con la literatura de la “nueva apocalíptica hispánica”. Este estudio también se centra en cómo estas producciones dialogan con tópicos contemporáneos de la ciencia ficción, reflejando las ansiedades actuales sobre el avance tecnológico y su impacto en la humanidad, así como la influencia de la pandemia de COVID-19 en la construcción de estos relatos. La investigación subraya la importancia de las ficciones sonoras como objetos de estudio intermediales, capaces de integrar y reconfigurar prácticas significantes de la literatura y el audio. Finalmente, se concluye que tanto Caso 63 como Número oculto son representaciones relevantes de la ficción especulativa contemporánea, contribuyendo a la difusión del género en el mundo hispanoamericano y ofreciendo nuevas perspectivas sobre el futuro de la humanidad en tiempos de crisis.
Presencias no-humanas en el fin del mundo. Animales y animalidad en "Mugre rosa" de Fernanda Trías
No full textFernanda Trías has positioned herself as one of the most relevant Spanish-language authors of the 21st century. Although her literary career dates back a long time, the publication of the novel Mugre rosa, a pandemic, dystopian and apocalyptic fiction, had a great reception and critical acclaim in different parts of the world. While the novel has been studied from the themes of toxicity, motherhood-others and confinement or distress, there is still no study that focuses on the analysis of the many non-human animals that populate the novel. Thus, in this article I defend the idea that these non-human presences are a fundamental part of the novel, and that they respond to a critical stance in the face of the ravages of the Anthropocene. To do so, I will use transdisciplinary theoretical contributions, such as ecofeminism, animal studies and posthumanism, to analyze three specific cases in the novel, such as the birds, the dog and a humanimal named Mauro. I hope to demonstrate with this analysis that Mugre rosa includes in its speculative fiction a privileged and transgressive space for reflection on the human/non-human relationship, which makes it one of the most relevant novels in Spanish in recent years.Fernanda Trías se ha posicionado como una de las autoras en español más relevantes del siglo xxi. Aunque su carrera literaria se inició tiempo atrás, la publicación de la novela Mugre rosa, una ficción pandémica y distópica, tuvo una gran acogida lectora y crítica en distintos puntos del planeta. Si bien la novela se ha estudiado desde los temas de la toxicidad, las maternidades-otras y el encierro o la desazón, no existe aún ningún estudio que se centre en el análisis de los muchos animales no-humanos que pueblan la novela. Así, en este artículo defiendo la idea de que estas presencias no-humanas son parte fundamental de la novela, y que responden a una postura crítica ante los estragos del Antropoceno. Para ello, me valdré de aportes teóricos transdisciplinares, como son el ecofeminismo, los estudios animales y el poshumanismo, para así analizar tres casos concretos en la novela, como son las aves, el perro y un humanimal llamado Mauro. Espero demostrar con dicho análisis que Mugre rosa incluye en su ficción especulativa un espacio de reflexión privilegiado y transgresor sobre la relación humano/no-humano, lo que la hace una de las novelas en español más relevantes de los últimos años.
Eco-weird en "El vasto territorio" de Simón López Trujillo: una vida muy muerta, una muerte muy viva
No full textThis paper studies the presence of an eco-weird aesthetic in the novel by the Chilean writer Simón López Trujillo, El vasto territorio (2021). The work describes the consequences, through the intertwined stories of the forestry worker Pedro and a young scientist named Giovanna, of eucalyptus monoculture in southern Chile, based on contamination by a fungus. The hypothesis is that the eco-weird aesthetic means in the text a rupture with the territory and, at the same time, represents the continuity of the living through symbiotic relationships that connect the dimensions of life and death. To address the above, a theoretical framework will be established, in the first instance, established on ecocriticism and the weird construct. In a second instance, the representation of a broken relationship with the territory and the expression of a weird textuality will be analysed in the novel, through the narrative elements of water and the fungus, to conclude on the need that the work poses for ecological humility.En este artículo, se estudia la presencia de una estética eco-weird en la novela del escritor chileno Simón López Trujillo, El vasto territorio (2021). La obra describe las consecuencias, a través de las historias entrelazadas del trabajador forestal Pedro y de una joven científica llamada Giovanna, del monocultivo del eucalipto en el sur de Chile, a partir de la contaminación por parte de un hongo. Se plantea la hipótesis que la estética eco-weird significa en el texto una ruptura con el territorio y, al mismo tiempo, representa la continuidad de lo vivo por medio de relaciones simbióticas que conectan las dimensiones de la vida y de la muerte. Para abordar lo anterior, se establecerá, en un primer momento, un marco teórico con base en la ecocrítica y el constructo weird. En un segundo momento, se analizará en la novela la representación de una relación rota con el territorio y la expresión de una textualidad weird mediante los elementos narrativos del agua y del hongo, para concluir sobre la necesidad que plantea la obra de una humildad ecológica
Valoración y formación del profesorado de las aulas lingüisticas para alumnos inmigrantes con desconocimiento del español
No full textABSTRACT: Reception classrooms are considered the most important measure regarding the reception of immigrant students with linguistic handicaps. They have been implemented with the purpose of facilitating the learning of the school's vehicular language by the new students and, as a consequence, fostering their inclusion in the school. However, many studies point out that this measure, in the different Spanish communities, does not meet the objectives set at the beginning. They also conclude that there is room for improvement in teacher training. For this reason, the present study aims to know the assessment that the teachers of the reference classrooms have of this measure, and to analyze the specific training of the teachers who work in the reception classrooms of the Region of Murcia in attention to diversity and intercultural education. In order to achieve this, in this study we surveyed all the teachers who teach allophonic students in schools with this measure. Specifically, a total of 204 teachers were surveyed. Some of the conclusions of this study show, on the one hand, the scarce specific training of teachers in the AA. On the other hand, the very positive evaluation of this measure by the teaching staff of the center.Las aulas de acogida (AA en adelante) se consideran la medida más importante en lo que concierne a la acogida de alumnado inmigrante con dificultad lingüística. Se han implementado con el propósito de facilitar el aprendizaje de la lengua vehicular del centro al nuevo estudiantado, y, como consecuencia, fomentar su inclusión en el centro educativo de primaria y secundaria (el presente estudio se centra en secundaria). No obstante, muchos estudios señalan que esta medida, en las diferentes comunidades españolas, no cumple con los objetivos marcados en un principio, y concluyen, asimismo, que la formación del profesorado es mejorable. Por eso, el presente estudio se propone conocer la valoración que los docentes de las aulas de referencia tienen de esta medida, y analizar la formación específica (en atención a la diversidad y en educación intercultural) que tienen aquellos que ejercen en las AA. de la Región de Murcia. Para conseguirlo, en este estudio se encuesta a la totalidad del cuerpo docente que imparte clases a los discentes alófonos escolarizados en centros que cuentan con AA., concretamente a un total de 204. Las conclusiones generales de este estudio evidencian, por un lado, la escasa formación específica que han recibido aquellos que ejercen en las AA., y por otro, la muy positiva valoración que tienen los profesores del centro respecto a esta medida
Analisis de la representación del terrorismo de Estado en el cómic “Un asesino anda suelto” de Ricardo Barreiro y Eduardo Risso.
No full textFrom a sociohistorical perspective, this study analyzes the social representations that structure the fifth comic of the Parque Chas (Barreiro-Risso) series: “A murderer is on the loose”, published in the argentine magazine Fierro in December 1987. The comic is approached as a historical source to understand the subject of enunciation, his time and his message, exploring how the murderer and his victims are presented in relation to contemporary discourses around the last civil-military dictatorship.
The article is structured in three sections: historical contextualization, analysis of the magazine Fierro and study of the work in question. The first part addresses the social, historical and political context of the publication, focusing on the Parque Chas series to provide a historical narrative understanding. The second section focuses on Fierro magazine to understand its relationship with the historical context and with other graphic publications, highlighting their contributions and differences. Finally, "A murderer is on the loose" is analyzed, examining the narrative construction of the murderer and the victims, with the aim of distinguishing to what extent it draws on the most widespread discourses of the post-dictatorship regarding State terrorism, and to what extent distances himself from them.Desde una perspectiva sociohistórica, en este estudio se analizan las representaciones sociales que estructuran el quinto cómic de la serie Parque Chas (Barreiro-Risso): "Un asesino anda suelto", publicado en la revista argentina Fierro en diciembre de 1987. Se aborda el cómic como una fuente histórica para comprender al sujeto de enunciación, su época y su mensaje, explorando cómo se presentan el asesino y sus víctimas en relación con los discursos contemporáneos en torno a la última dictadura cívico-militar.
El artículo se estructura en tres secciones: contextualización histórica, análisis de la revista Fierro y estudio de la obra en cuestión. La primera parte aborda el contexto social, histórico y político de la publicación, centrándose en la serie Parque Chas para proporcionar una comprensión narrativa histórica. La segunda sección se centra en la revista Fierro para comprender su relación con el contexto histórico y con otras publicaciones gráficas, destacando sus contribuciones y sus diferencias. Finalmente, se analiza "Un asesino anda suelto", examinando la construcción narrativa del asesino y de las víctimas, con el objetivo de distinguir en qué medida abreva en los discursos más extendidos de la posdictadura en torno al terrorismo de Estado, y en qué medida se distancia de ellos.
