Hybrid solutions for didactics in higher education: An interdisciplinary workshop of ‘Visual Storytelling’ to develop documentation competences
No full textThe article reports on the results of a Design-Based Research path realized through a workshop about the “Visual Storytelling” (VS). The workshop aimed to develop teacher’s professional competences about digital narrative documentation to be certified through the Open Badge system. The interdisciplinary design was developed according to the ICT-TPACK framework between the two courses “Methodologies, Didactics and Technologies for Teaching” and “Educational Research” in the Master’s degree in Primary Teaching. 32 students were involved to deal with the documentation of some real educational experiences observed at school. They were asked to fill a semi-structured questionnaire at the end of the workshop. Other data came from a rubric used to evaluate VS products from three different points of views (students’ self-assessment; university teachers; school teachers). The workshop stimulated the students to use technologies creatively, critically and reflectively to develop an authentic task realizing a VS product. According to the students’ opinion, the workshop also facilitated collaborative processes as well as skills of self-assessment and the personalization of learning.

Competence-based approach to a module design for the Master Degree Programme in Translation: Challenge of Tuning Russia Tempus Project
No full textThe article demonstrates the application of the modular competence-based approach for the design of a Master degree programme in translation studies. The case study is based on output materials produced during the lifetime of the Tuning Russia project involving a number of Russian universities, one of which is the Russian State University for the Humanities (RSUH). The module in question – the LSP (language for special purposes) translation module – emphasizes interaction between the related disciplines on the basis of the common subject-matter, i.e. the translation of special purpose texts. The modular approach sets out to achieve key competences required for professional qualifications. In addition, the module considers teaching methods, ECTS and assessment tools. Attention is given to the concept of competence-based approach in contemporary education. The authors argue that the competence-based approach introduced in Russia at the national (Ministerial) level in 2016 facilitates Russia’s interactive alignment with the main principles of the Bologna Process adopted by the European Higher Education Area.

La multa civil en el ordenamiento jurídico francés: “cuando las barbas de tu vecino…”
No full textIn the French legal system, as well as in the Spanish one, it has traditionally been affirmed the exclusive redress purpose of civil liability, discarding any preventive or punitve aim. However, when it comes to private international law, it has been firmly stated that institutions like anglo saxon punitive damages are not contrary to the french public order. In fact, it is not difficult to find some preventive and punitive reminiscences both in the civil judicial decitions and in some specific civil legal institutions. These reaches it greatest expression with the civil fine, which has already been introduced in the french legal system through competition law and has been forseen by all the modification projects of the french Civil Code from more than one decade ago to present day. To this extent, the evolution followed in France, which tends to expand the purposes of civil order, may serve as a guide or a warning for our own legal system.Received: 14.06.2019Accepted: 16.12.2019Published online: 31.12.2019En el ordenamiento jurídico francés, como en el español, se ha afirmado tradicionalmente la exclusiva función reparadora de la responsabilidad civil, descartando toda función preventiva o punitiva. Sin embargo, en el ámbito del derecho internacional privado se ha afirmado con rotundidad que instituciones como los daños punitivos anglosajones no son contrarias al orden público francés. De hecho, no es difícil encontrar reminiscencias preventivo-punitivas tanto en las decisiones judiciales como en determinadas instituciones legales del orden civil. Estas hallan su cúspide en la multa civil que ya se ha introducido en el ordenamiento francés, por vía del derecho de competencia, y que viene estando prevista, para el ámbito civil general, por todos los proyectos de modificación del Código Civil francés desde hace más de una década. La seguridad humana de los familiares de víctimas de desaparición forzada en México
No full textThis research focuses on the analysis of the phenomenon of enforced disappearances within the theoretical framework of human security. From the epistemological premises of this study, it seems urgent to develop a security framework from and for the human being. And this is done here from the individuals immersed in their thoughts, emotions and in their socialcultural environment. For this, a qualitative research has been carried out with the aim of learning how the family faces the disappearance of one of its members through a semi-structured focal group interview and an open structured interview. The results reveal that each participant reacts differently in terms of emotions and behaviors, but most of them seek a support network to face adversity.Received: 26 November 2019Accepted: 09 December 2019Published online: 20 December 2019Esta investigación se centra en analizar el fenómeno de las desapariciones forzadas dentro del marco teórico de la seguridad humana. Desde el enfoque epistemológico de este estudio es urgente construir una seguridad desde y para el ser humano; esto se traduce en determinarla a partir de los individuos sumergidos en sus pensamientos, emociones y en su ambiente cultural-social. Para ello, se ha desarrollado una investigación cualitativa con el objetivo de conocer cómo enfrenta la familia la desaparición de uno de sus miembros a través de una entrevista grupal-semiestructurada y una entrevista estructurada abierta. The promotion of both decent and green jobs through cooperatives
No full textEn la actualidad, resulta innegable que la constante degradación medioambiental y el cambio climático amenazan la sostenibilidad del planeta. Como consecuencia, existe una necesidad urgente de afrontar estas amenazas y de promover el desarrollo sostenible. A partir de estas premisas, el presente artículo tiene por objeto mostrar cómo las cooperativas pueden ser una vía útil para promover los empleos verdes y decentes. Para lograr este objetivo, en primer lugar, se analizará el alcance conceptual de los empleos verdes y decentes. En segundo lugar, se resaltará el concepto de las cooperativas, prestando especial atención a los valores y principios cooperativos. En tercer lugar, se procederá a explicar cómo pueden las cooperativas contribuir a la promoción de empleos verdes y decentes. As a consequence, there is an urgent need to face these menaces and to promote sustainable development. From this starting point, this paper aims to show how cooperatives can be a useful channel to promote green and decent jobs. In order to achieve this objective, first of all, we will analyse the conceptual scope of green and decent jobs. Secondly, we will highlight the meaning of cooperatives, paying special attention to cooperative values and principles. Thirdly, we will proceed to explain how cooperatives can contribute to encourage green and decent jobs. ¿Identidad europea o identidades europeas?
No full textWe will, hereby, deal with the meaning of the word «identity» from a philosophical perspective particularly related with Politics. The main aim of the paper is to determine in what sense the idea of a European political identity would be meaningful, which first of all will lead us to ascertain the meaning of the expression «political identity». It will be defended that a political identity is primarily collective, and that the limits of a specific political collective are defined by a process of reciprocal identification between individuals, regarding typically historical facts: respect of the past (not necessarily common), cultural relationship in a present time (consequently shared), and projection to the future (from an individual commitment). From this analysis, it will be showed to what extent we can pertinently refer to a «European identity» instead of «European identities», and this regarding the idea of «people», and also paying attention to the matter of the political form.Received: 02 July 2018Accepted: 16 July 2018Published online: 27 February 2019Nos ocuparemos del significado del término «identidad» desde una perspectiva filosófica concernida singularmente con lo político. Así pues, se tratará principalmente de determinar en qué sentido cabe hablar de una identidad política europea, y para ello se esclarecerá en primer lugar lo que signifique la expresión «identidad política». Se defenderá que una identidad política remite por defecto a lo colectivo, y que los límites de una colectividad política específica vienen definidos por un proceso de identificación recíproca entre individuos en relación con hechos típicamente históricos: respeto de un pasado (no necesariamente común), relación cultural en un presente (necesariamente, pues, compartido), y proyección hacia un futuro (a partir de un compromiso individual). 1979-2019: 40 años de democracia europea
No full textSince the first elections to the European Parliament, in 1979, until the eighth ones, in 2014, the European Union has taken big steps in its integration process. In this article we will analyse the recent history of European democracy between these dates, from the first European elections to the most recent ones. We will analyse the results of each election, the turnout in the different Member States and the context in which they were held. Additionally, we will explain how the different treaties and the new Member States have modified both the composition of the hemicycle, that is, the number and distribution of MEPs in each term, as well as the powers that the institution has acquired within the European Union. Finally, we will outline the challenges that the European Union will have to face in the upcoming elections of May 2019, 40 years after the first ones.Received: 22 January 2019Accepted: 21 February 2019Published online: 30 April 2019Desde las primeras elecciones al Parlamento Europeo, en 1979, hasta las octavas, en 2014, la Unión Europea ha dado grandes pasos en su proceso de integración. En el presente artículo realizaremos un recorrido por la historia reciente de la democracia europea en el periodo comprendido entre estas fechas, desde las primeras elecciones europeas hasta las más recientes. En él incluiremos los resultados de cada convocatoria, la participación electoral en los diferentes Estados miembros y el contexto en el que se llevaron a cabo. Asimismo, explicaremos cómo los diferentes tratados comunitarios y las adhesiones de países miembros han ido modificando tanto la composición del hemiciclo, es decir, el número y distribución de eurodiputados en cada legislatura, como los poderes que la institución ha ido adquiriendo dentro de la Unión Europea. The Future of Security and Defence in the EU Post-Brexit: the Leap to Integration
No full textEn este trabajo analizamos los últimos desarrollos que en la Unión Europea se están llevando a cabo en materia de seguridad y defensa; y reflexionamos en torno a la evolución de este ámbito en la UE post-brexit. Paradójicamente, desde el momento de la celebración del referéndum británico para el abandono de la Unión en 2016, la UE ha tomado numerosas e innovadoras iniciativas en materia de seguridad y defensa que, aunque eran contempladas en el Tratado de Lisboa, no habían podido materializarse precisamente por la oposición británica. La relevancia de estas iniciativas nos lleva a aventurar que estamos en los albores del surgimiento de una Unión de la Seguridad y la Defensa que implica el salto a la integración en un ámbito de especial relevancia como es el que nos ocupa.Recibido: 20 diciembre 2018Aceptado: 29 enero 2019Publicación en línea: 30 abril 2019In this paper we analyse the latest developments in the European Union in terms of security and defence; and we reflect on the evolution of this field in the EU post-Brexit. External Borders, Immigration and Refuge. The Frustrating Search for Legal Forms of Access to Europe in the Law of the Union: the Uncertain Future of the European Humanitarian Visa and the European Resettlement Framework
No full textEn el último lustro las situaciones de conflicto armado existentes en distintos países africanos y de Oriente Medio ha traído consigo una afluencia de refugiados al viejo continente desconocida desde la segunda guerra mundial. Ante la imposibilidad de acceder a suelo europeo de forma legal, quienes huyen de la persecución y de la guerra se ven obligados a realizar un viaje que supone un alto coste para su vida, para su integridad física y mental y hasta para su dignidad. El propósito de este trabajo consiste en ahondar en dos iniciativas que se encuentran en marcha en este momento en el seno de la Unión y que, caso de resultar aprobadas, podrían permitir el acceso legal y seguro a Europa de un importante número de personas necesitadas de protección internacional. Estamos hablando del visado humanitario europeo y del proyecto de Reglamento por el que se establece el marco de reasentamiento de la Unión. Veremos si los Estados están a la altura de los principios y valores que presiden la organización de la que son miembros.Recibido: 29 enero 2019Aceptado: 13 febrero 2019Publicación en línea: 30 abril 2019In the last five years armed conflict situations in different countries of the African continent and the Middle East has brought an influx of refugees to the old continent. This influx was not so high since the Second World War. As accessing legally to European soil is not possible, those refugees fleeing persecution and war are forced to make a trip that involves a high cost to their lives, their physical and mental integrity and, even their dignity. The purpose of this work is to delve into two initiatives that are currently underway within the European Union and that, if approved, they could allow legal and secure access to Europe for a significant number of people requiring international protection. These initiatives are the European humanitarian visa and the Proposal for a Regulation establishing a Union Resettlement Framework.
