THE WESTERN BALKANS PERSPECTIVES IN THE CONTEXT OF SINO-EUROPEAN RELATIONS
The Western Balkans perspectives as an integral part of the EU is a many time declared commitment throughout the past decades. By emphasizing it as a joint vision, the EU tends to strengthen and maintain not only peace and stability among the six Western Balkans countries (WB6) but also economic and political prosperity transposing its norms and values. Nonetheless, this process is taking too long, leaving space for foreign influences at different times. The economic expansion of China came meanwhile, consisted mainly of infrastructure investment and development, as part of the Belt and Road Initiative and 17+1 framework. As it is growing exponentially, it is clear that thesedirect investments are highly related to China’s geopolitical interests in the region. The biggest issue here is that China’s values (and its civilizational matrix – predominantly Confucian) are different from the EU’s to such an extent that the parallel presence of both in the Western Balkans could lead to numerous controversial choices of the governments, which threaten to slow down, to sabotage and to complicate the long and arduous process of eurointegration. In the end, it can be concluded that the Western Balkans is too small for the presence of more great actors, and thus, the perspectives of the Western Balkans belong to European civilization
THE CORRELATION BETWEEN EDUCATION AND HUMAN CAPITAL AND THEIR IMPACT ON THE CREATION OF A KNOWLEDGE-BASED ECONOMY
Education and scientific research are the main channels through which human capital and knowledge are generated. Human capital and knowledge are thus the basic determinants of economic growth and development in modern knowledgebased economies and are recognized as the key factor inputs which increase the assets of the entire economy. Nowadays, world economies are rapidly restructuring to be knowledge-based, and investment in human capital is a significant contributor to the economic growth. Competitiveness between knowledge-based economies conditions that comparative advantage of any economy be the cumulative human capital, knowledge and innovation. This paper, using the scientific methods of historical comparative analysis, trend linear analysis and the method of induction and deduction, explores the transmission channels of the impact of education on economic growth and development in N. Macedonia, draws comparisons with countries in the region and proposes measures for improvement
IODINE IN DAIRY CATTLE: A review
This review should provide more information about the importance of iodine in dairy cattle, since milk is considered as valuable source of iodine in newborn animal nutrition and in recent years in human nutrition. Iodine is an essential element for thyroid gland function and it is incorporated into the thyroid hormones, which play key role in energy metabolism, growth and brain development. Iodine also exert multiple and complex actions on many organs that capture it, not including its effects as part of thyroid hormones. Therefore, the adequate iodine bioavailability and optimal feed intake in dairy cattle is of pivotal importance for optimal iodine concentration in milk. Its concentrations in milk may be variable as it is influenced by many factors: iodine intake in feed, iodine forms used for feeding, iodine supplementation of feed, presence of goitrogenic substances and its ratio in animal feed, milk yield, seasonal fluctuations and also farm management
NUTRITIONAL MARKETING AND SOCIAL NETWORKS AS MARKETING TOOLS
To determine all the key determinants that influence consumer behavior, comprehensive research methods are needed. Human purchasing behavior, despite its complexity, can be presented as a complex system, consisting of structural and functional characteristics. Knowing all the influencing factors grouped in determinants and discovering the correlations between them will lead to obtaining a large amount of information on the influences and consumer behavior and then, based on that, creating a successful marketing strategy. Nowadays, social media are extremely popular (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.) and information on nutrition, diet, gastronomy and eating habits is published daily. Apart from these there are gastroblogs and influencers as channels used in marketing and which have an impact on consumer behavior. The subject of research of this paper is the theoretical development of a new methodology of the so-called Nutrition marketing based on several principles (5N), mainly aimed at the nutritional determinant with set benefits for human health and well-being and the use of social media as a marketing tool. In the research of this paper as one of the concepts of Nutritional marketing, a survey research was conducted in the R.N. Macedonia on the impact of social platforms as a marketing tool detecting a determinant of impact called social media. The results of the survey were obtained with advanced IT and statistical analysis. The principles of nutrition marketing and the developed methodology will enable companies to create a successful marketing strategy for food products. The benefit can be threefold: a benefit for companies through greater profits, a benefit for citizens through the consumption of healthy, quality and safe food products, and finally, a benefit for the country
MONITORING OF HELICOVERPA ARMIGERA USING PHEROMONE TRAPS AND RELATIONSHIP OF MOTH ACTIVITY WITH LARVAL INFESTATION ON TOBACCO
The polyphagous larvae of Helicoverpa armigera cause damage to reproductive and vegetative tissues of many crops and weeds. According to pheromone catches, in the region of Prilep, usual flight pattern of H. armigera on tobacco is during July - September. A total of 187 adults were caught in 2019/20. When male moths have reached their peak catch in pheromone traps, during next week subsequent egg- laying and larval infestation is observed in the tobacco field. Monitoring the occurrence of moths and early larval detection is necessary for optimal timing of pesticide treatments. Different active ingredients were effective for pest control: Metaflumizone 240 g/L- 1 L/ha; Emamectin 9.5 g/kg- 1.5 kg/ha; Chlorpyrifos 500 g/L + Cypermethrin 50 g/L- 1.5 L/ha. H. armigera is a pest of major importance in areas in which are produced certified tobacco seed and it is important to lay emphasis on an integrated approach to combat this pest
DEFINING GOOD LEARNING OUTCOMES – UKLO CASE
The 2008 European Qualification Frameworks’ recommendation defines learning outcomes as ‘…statements of what an individual should know, understand and/or be able to do at the end of a learning process’. This paper is mainly focused to obtain answers to the questions: What are learning outcomes? Why are learning outcomes important? What is the difference between learning outcomes and learning objectives? What are the main characteristics of good learning outcomes? How do we know if UKLO’s learning outcomes meet the objective criteria? The research include many scientific sources, such as published papers and professional instructions/manuals by relevant educational institutions as well as UKLO’s acts and documents, closely related to this topic
THE GAME AND THE TEACHER IN TEACHING MATHEMATICS IN THE FIRST CYCLE OF PRIMARY SCHOOL
Games are types of natural activity of children. They enable children to get to know the world, practice various activities in which they are very successful. Children always learn something new from games. By playing mathematical games, children develop mathematical skills and knowledge. Learning through games is an easy, interesting and self-motivating activity. Games are a combination of luck and knowledge, while mathematics is one of the subjects which comprises a special place in the education of children. Mathematics is considered as a basic need for every individual. By playing mathematical games, students love mathematics more than usual, they gain self-confidence and at earliest age they submit themselves to solve mathematical problems with great confidence. The information presented below has been enabled by the conducted interviews of 123 teachers who teach from class one to three, from nine primary municipal schools of the city of Skopje and the surrounding areas
OPPORTUNITIES FOR UNIVERSITY-SOCIETY INTERACTIONS IN SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH
The topics of insufficient practical knowledge of students and insufficient cooperation of the university with society (industry, business, NGOs, government services, etc.)have been discussed for at least 30 years. Legal conditions for effective cooperation between the university and society exist, but satisfactory results still do not exist.Cooperation in scientific research can and should be a basis that can result in deeper cooperation in the educational process and better practical skills of students. As a matter of fact, ten centuries ago, the development of scientific research enabled the emergence of the first universities in Europe. The paper will analyze the current state of UKLO in terms of cooperation between the university and the public, especially by analyzing the functioning of the Boards for Cooperation and Trust with the Public and the implementation of joint research, development, and application projects between the university and society

THE CONTENT OF CYPERMETHRIN PESTICIDE RESIDUES AFTER DIFFERENT METHODS OF APPLE PREPARATION
The apple considered as an important food source due to its nutritive composition as well as biological activities of its compounds. Due to the positive health benefits, apples are present in the daily diet in a fresh and in different processed forms. However, different types of pesticides used during apples cultivation in order to improve the yield, quality, but also to combat the insects and pests. On the other hand, pesticides can affect the human health, like that their monitoring strongly recommended. Food processing is one of the most effective strategies for decontaminating of food items from pesticides and obtaining safe products for consummation. This study summarizes the presence of cypermethrin, as one of the most used pesticide for apple crops, in fresh as well as in processed apple products prepared by various methods including mechanical and thermal. The extraction of pesticide residues of cypermethrin from apple products performed by QuEChERS method while the analysis performed by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). The concentration of cypermethrin presented in various products was in the range of 0.01024 mg/kg to 0.0142 mg/kg that concludes that all analyzed samples are safe to consume, while the apple peeling method is the most effective in reducing the cypermethrin in the final products.
