In the history of global pandemics, the emergence of outbreaks has become a human health problem in different parts of the world. Likewise with the Covid-19 case which from December 2019 to 2022 has now emerged as a world outbreak. Nowadays, the Covid-19 variant has evolved into with the emergence of new viruses such as delta and omicron. Various prevention efforts have been carried out, one of which is by using a modern approach. Nevertheless, positive and tradition-based social behavior must still be followed. The people of Makassar in Belang-belang, Maros Regency, are one of the villages that still hold local wisdom. This research reveals how the outbreak prevention system is based on local knowledge of Makassar in the Belang-Belang village. This research was conducted qualitatively and quantitatively (mixed method) through data collection techniques by observation and structured interviews, literature studies. Data analysis using miles and Huberman models, by reducing data, displaying data, and drawing conclusions. The esscription of the results of the study shows that, the people of Makassar have known the knowledge system related to the cause of the emergence of a disease caused by pakkasiak (physiological), ku\u27mang (bacteria / germs), and supernatural aspects. The knowledge system is organized in a cultural system in the form of local wisdom. This local wisdom becomes a code of behavior for the local community, one of which is the behavior of maintaining cleanliness (katangkasang) and ancestral wills (pap pair turiolo) which contain patterns of: 1) prevention of plague; 2) the type of treatment of the plague; and 3) knowledge of traditional medicine. In the current pandemic conditions, the people of Belang-Belang village are relatively still implementing their traditional knowledge system based on local wisdom properly and practiced in preventing the Covid-19 outbreak. The knowledge system for outbreak management in Makassar society shows a positive correlation in protecting the population from the risk of global disease outbreaks

Connecting with Generation Z: Consumer Acceptance of the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Online Shopping
In the civilized era, artificial intelligence (AI) is the imitation of human intellectual functions by machines or computer systems. It is challenging for e-retailers to offer customised discounts despite the unlimited product selection in an online store at the same time, satisfy customers’ expectations while providing a distinctive customer experience. To provide clients with real experiences, recommendations and products must be tailored to their preferences and needs. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to ascertain whether generation Z consumers embrace the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in online buying. This study also aimed to provide recommendations and insights for SMEs to learn more about adopting AI that will enhance their online businesses. For this study, an online survey with quantitative approach is used and gathered 135 respondents. The data were examined by using SPSS version 25. The results of the correlation study showed that each component significantly increases the adoption of AI in online purchasing. The regression research showed that technology literacy has a negative impact on artificial intelligence (AI), while all independent factors (perceived utility, perceived ease of use, and trust) have significant positive impacts on AI (AI). The R² value of the study which is 0.364 indicated good model fit. Due to the AI assistant\u27s constant availability, customers may ask simple questions and report minor difficulties at any time without having to wait for a response. The analysis of client data also helps the online retailer better understand its customers and emerging trends. Thus, advantages like enhanced usability and customisation that satisfy consumer needs and expectations strengthen customer loyalty and boost corporate revenues over the long run
Torrefaction on agricultural residues empty fruit bunch: Effect of torrefaction processing factors on thermal properties of torrefied empty fruit bunch biochar
Thermal properties of torrefied empty fruit bunch biochar were investigated in this study as an alternative to be a renewable energy material for future. Holding temperature range between 200 to 300°C and residence time for 30 to 90 minutes were applied as the factors for the torrefaction process. This study observed the thermal properties of torrefied empty fruit bunch biochar by using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) to study the thermal decomposition before and after torrefaction process. Thermogravimetric analysis was used in identifying those properties, which is dividing into three stages of dehydration, devolatilizations and decomposition of the torrefied biochar. During the dehydration, the moisture content was removed, meanwhile during the second stage (devolatilizations), the volatile matter was removed along with the removal of hemicellulose, cellulose, and lignin, while on the third stage shows the decompositions of the torrefied biochar to completely degrade
Phytochemical analysis, total phenolic content and antioxidant activity of two varieties of Hibiscus sabdariffa L. leaves
The leaves of roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) are usually used in food and traditional medicine. It also has been recognized as a source of natural antioxidants. Antioxidants are known as molecules that prevent the oxidation process caused by free radical compounds that can harm the human body. Thus, this study aims to characterize the chemical constituents found in ethanolic extracts of red roselle (RR) and white roselle (WR) leaves and determine their antioxidant activity. The phytochemical screening indicated that RR leaf extract contained phenols, tannins, saponins and steroids, while WR leaf extracts consisted of phenols, tannins and reducing sugars. The total phenolic content in RR and WR leaf extracts was 42.07 ± 0.48 mg GAE/g dry weight of leaf and 38.59 ± 1.75 mg GAE/g dry weight of leaf, respectively, while the DPPH radical scavenging activity was 85.65 ± 0.33 % and 83.49 ± 0.13 % at a concentration of 1 mg/ml for RR and WR extracts. Total phenolic content and antioxidant activity showed that RR leaf extract was significantly higher than WR leaf extract. Thin layer chromatography (TLC) separation revealed a few prominent spots in both crude extracts, which were polar in nature. The TLC results can be used as preliminary data to further investigate the compounds. Characterization of the isolated crude compounds in the extracts was done using Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR). The infrared spectrum exhibited the presence of hydroxyl group, carboxylic acids, alkanes, the presence of esters (-C=O) and the involvement of aromatic structure of the compound. The study demonstrated the ethanolic extract of two varieties of roselle leaf contains phytochemical constituents that could contribute to the antioxidant activity. The findings of this study will contribute to the development of herbal teas or food supplements to maintain good health. The data from this study will also provide valuable information for future research on the fractionation and purification of potential antioxidant compounds found in the extract

MIN HOUSE CAMP: Developing A Successful Green Resort Start Up In Kelantan
Noriah was interested in expanding her eco-resort by adding more rooms and facilities to cater to an increasing number of visitors. Protecting the resort\u27s natural environment was her main priority. With the threat of river pollution that could jeopardize her eco-resort business, she realized that she needed an urgent plan to address the issue. Noriah was not sure of the best plan to stop or minimize the potential impact of river pollution on her property. However, she was aware that water resources such as the river are one of the main attractions of her eco-resort. Visitors come to the resort to enjoy the river scenic view as well as the tranquillity of the village environment. She also noticed that some of the local kampung people would also pollute the river by throwing out trash and garbage into the river. This hurt her much about the lackadaisical attitude among villagers toward protecting the natural environment
