Consideration on crack of RC rolled around the existed concrete
Reinforced concrete which rolled around the existed one is typical method of repair and strengthening for concrete member. However the cases damaged by initial cracks have been seen sometimes in construction site. As a result restrained by existed concrete, these cracking on new one have been initiated between some months after concrete placing. In this study, the effect on place and time of construction based on the operated example were considered analytically, and a new useful method which would be not caused initial cracks was proposed.departmental bulletin pape
Investment movement by Venture capitals
As commonly known, the venture capitals try to invest to the venture firms aiming the IPO and the capital gains by selling the shares obtained before IPO. Nevertheless, due to my questionnaires I have done to the domestic rather known venture capitals, about 25% of the venture capitals do not always require the IPO. GROWTH AND EVALUATION OF Ga2O3 SINGLE CRYSTAL
β-Ga2O3 single crystal is promising for the substrate of GaN LED. The single crystals were grown by using Floating Zone method. Doping of Si revealed possibilities of suppressing the cracking along cleavage plane and reducing the electrical resistivity, which were essential to the practical use. EL device by using Cr-dopedβ-Ga2O3 showed the electro luminescence at the wave length of around 690 nm under higher than 80 voltage.departmental bulletin pape
Vacuum-Adiabatic Characteristic of High Temperature Super-Conducting Cable (Part 3)
The hot temperature super conducting cables (HTS cable) are cooled by the liquid nitrogen and the super conducting condition of the cable is achieved. The HTS cable has many merits, for example, large power capacity, compact size, low loss and no leakage of magnetic field. First HTS cable in Japan is constructed now in a substation of Tokyo Electric Power Company. As the liquid nitrogen of which temperature is 77 [K] is used as the coolant, the thermal heat load transferred between the environment and the cable must be interrupted. The thermal insulating space, that is, cryostat is installed at outer part of the cable. The space is kept in high vacuum condition. We experimented with various Super Insulation (SI) which interrupt radiant heat and studied heat transfer characteristic of the cryostat in following the article part 1(1)and part 2(2).departmental bulletin pape
Capture of a Droplet by the Eliminator
The capture of a droplet by the eliminator is studied theoretically. The eliminator is assumed to be a cylinder installed perpendicular to the uniform flow. Observation of evaporation at a non uniform surface using micro meteorological methods
Evaporation from land surface is a dominant process of heat and water exchange between atmosphere and land surface. The exchanged process in a wide area is an important element of a climate model because it affects a climate system. It is important to observe exact evaporation in order to not only improvement of the climate model but also utilization and management of water resources. Following the development of an automatic instrument for meteorological variables, a micro-meteorological method has become to a main method of evaporation measurement. The Bowen-ratio method and the aero-dynamical method are widely used. In order to apply both methods, some conditions must be satisfied, such as the horizontal homogeneity and the adequate fetch to upwind direction. However, evaporation measurement is often required at places where the conditions do not satisfy. In this study, the author verified the applicability of two micro-meteorological methods to the site with non-uniform surface condition near the Lake Kitagta, Awara City, Fukui Prefecture. As a results, the measurement error of both methods for daytime and hourly evaporation were within ±1mm and ±0.3mm respectively.departmental bulletin pape
Study for objective identification of Jovian decametric radiation by using 3 short baselines interferometer at Awara campus
Jovian decametric radiation (DAM) is generated by some auroral current systems in Jovian magnetosphere and its occurrence probability has an important meaning indicating the degree of activity of Jovian magnetosphere. We have observed the occurrence probability of DAM by using 3 short baselines interferometer at Awara campus in Fukui University of Technology since 2001. In the previous study, there has been a problem that should be solved. The problem is how to establish a technique for objective identification of DAM instead of the method based on visual judgment employed in our previous study. In this study, we discuss the validity of fringe correlation technique for objective identification of Jovian DAM in our interferometer observation.departmental bulletin pape
Detection of Disasters of Wenchuan Earthquake in Sichuan, China in 2008 by using Satellite Remote Sensing
On 12 May 2008, a severe earthquake of magnitude 8.0 on the Richter scale occurred in Wenchuan Country, Sichuan, China. It caused heavy losses in human life and property. The remote sensing technology has played an active role in Wenchuan earthquake monitoring and assessment. In this paper, the detection and the analysis of disasters in Beichuan Country where the earthquake damage was terrible, using the satellite data of ALOS-PRISM/AVNIR-2/PALSAR and TERRAASTER/ MODIS, are described. The changes of Tangjia Mountain dammed lake in Beichuan Country are also shown. The satellite data from 31 March 2007 to 21 November 2009 are used.departmental bulletin pape
ON THE RECEPTION OF VITRUVIAN ARCHITECTURAL THEORY IN VINCENZO SCAMOZZI ARCHITECT
This paper is a study on the reception of Vitruvius(De Architectura)of the architect, architectural theorist Vincenzo Scamozzi in Italian Renaissance. The architectural theorists of the Italian Renaissance requested the authority of the architectural thought to Vitruvius by the taste of the Humanism. Scamozzi also was belonging to such a tradition, he wrote the architectural books ''L'Idea della Architettura Universale '', while was complying with the architectural thought of Vitruvius. Therefore, in this paper we make clear the points that Scamozzi is relying on Vitruvius, that he was constructing the original thought of architecture, while deepening the architectural thought of Vitruvius.departmental bulletin pape
