Metrical Linguistic Characteristics of English Picture Books
Picture books play an important role as a material that develops children's linguistic competence. Thus, English picture books can be considered to be indispensable in the children's English study. In this paper, metrical characteristics of some English picture books were investigated, compared with English textbooks for Japanese junior high schools. In short, frequency characteristics of character and word-appearance were investigated. These characteristics were approximated by an exponential function. Furthermore, the percentage of Japanese junior high school required vocabulary and American basic vocabulary was calculated to obtain the difficulty-level. As a result, it was clearly shown that the English picture books have a similar tendency to literary writings in the characteristics of character-appearance, and some books are more difficult than English textbooks.departmental bulletin pape

Survey on 3-D soil structure of Fukui Plain through microtremor H/V spectrum method
Three-dimensional soil structure in Fukui Plain was estimated from microtremor observations at 1 km mesh points. Depth of alluvial, diluvial, tertiary layers and seismic bedrock were evaluated from the observed H/V spectrum ratios through the GA method. The main features on the seismic bedrock depth in the target area are as follows. There is a deep domain along the west edge of the plain. The depth becomes quickly shallower to westward and gently shallower to eastward. Another deep linear domain estimated along the east edge has possibility of corresponding to the 1948 Fukui Earthquake Fault. Moreover a steep change of bedrock depth is found at the northern side of Asuwayama Hill.departmental bulletin pape

Lighting effects of three open-air Noh stages in the Hokuriku region, namely, Motoyu Ishiya at Fukatani hot spring, Oonominato shrine in Kanazawa city and Taga great shrine in Shiga prefecture, have been investigated in terms of illuminances and luminances in the play areas. Experiment for panoramic picture expression with cylindrical screen
I produce this study about expression and the interaction that used the space grasp by reflecting a photographed panoramic picture on cylindrical screen. In late years production equipment or the software about the panorama spread, and the price became cheaper and easy to do an entry to production. A study on photovoltaic power generation
We studied the characteristics of photovoltaic power generation and summarized as follows, 1.Very few ratio of solar power generation(0.4%)in total power generation in Japan. 2. The lowest annual utilization rate of photovoltaic power generation plant ( ~ 12 % ). 3. The beginning of drastic introduction in Japan and the further greater introduction of ~500MW/year. 4.
