Crystal Polymorphism in the Crystallization of Cyclodextrin Inclusion Complexes
Get PDFAs the trainig program for 3rd year students in the underguraduate course, the X-ray crystal structure analyses of organic compounds, mainly those of the inclusion complexes of α-cyclodextrin with p-nitrophenol or p-hydroxybenzoic acid have been carried out based on the reported paper. In the crystallization batch of p-nitrophenol and α-cyclodextrin, three different shapes of single crystals were observed. On the other hand, two different shapes of single crystals were found in the crystallization batch of p-hydroxybenzonic acid and α-cyclodextrin. Two-photon Ionization of 9,9-Dimethylfluorene in the presence of Cyclodextrine in aqueous solution
Get PDFTransient absorption measurement by 266-nm laser flash photolysis technique was performed using 9,9-dimethylfluorene[Fl(Me)2] in the presence of cyclodextrins (CDs), specifically α-CD, β-CD, mβ-CD and γ-CD, in aqueous solution. Owing to the good solubility of the complexes of Fl(Me)2 with CDs, ionization of Fl(Me)2 occurred within the laser flash (5 ns) to give Fl(Me)2 radical cation [Fl(Me)2・+] and solvated electron (e・-). The ionization yields of Fl(Me)2 in the present of CDs depended on the shape and properties of the complexes. Generation of THz Wave by Using A Chaotic Oscillation in A Laser
Get PDFA generation of a wide-range and stable THz wave using a laser chaos that is used to pump photocondunctive antennas of LT-GaAs(Low Temperature Growing GaAs) is investigated. In the case of laser chaos the optical spectrum is broad. To generate chaotic oscillation in a semiconductor laser, an optical delayed feedback is added to the solitary laser by the external mirror, it results in a broad spectral comb whose frequency interval 43.830GHz between the longitudinal modes. Therefore, the laser chaos have a lot of optical beats that is useful to generate THz wave. A generated THz spectrum is stable and wide from 45GHz to 0.960THz.departmental bulletin pape

Get PDFA theoretical and experimental investigation is conducted into impact oscillations between a pantograph and an overhead rigid conductor line in a railway current system. The contact problem is modeled as impact oscillations of an intermediate spring-supported beam excited by an oscillating plate. In this paper, we propose a numerical technique on the basis of the concept of maps that transform the state of the system at the impact to the subsequent state at the next impact. Get PDFThis paper gives a systematic analysis of meaning broadening from the aspects of metaphorical extension, abstruction and desemanticization on the basis of the change theory of Meaning.Pragmatics. It focuses on a productive prefix of compound verbs “ーつける". The author of this paper collected 126 compound verbs with the prefix “ーつける" from Guang Ci Yuan(the 6th edition) and analyzed the process of meaning broadening of it. The results show that compound verbs with various meanings derive from basic verbs. The True Meaning of Sakyamuni's Preaching on `No Definite Answer'
Get PDFIn “Five Divisions"(Pañca-nikāya) of Pali sutras, considered the collected discourses of Sakyamuni and his disciples, there is preaching on “no definite answer". This belongs to the “Kindred Sayings about No Definite Answer" (Avyākata-saṃyutta) in “The Division of Kindred Sayings"(Saṃyutta-nikāya). “No definite answer"(avyākata)means that the questions were not answered definitely by Sakyamuni, such as whether the world is eternal, whether the world is not eternal, whether the world is finite, whether the world is infinite, whether soul and body are identical, whether soul and body are different, whether the Tathāgata exists after death, whether the Tathāgata does not exist after death, whether the Tathāgata both exists and not exists after death, whether the Tathāgata neither exists nor not-exists after death, whether there is a self, whether there is not a self, and so on. Sakyamuni's preaching consists of no definite answer and the reasons for it. But what is the true meaning of it? According to established theory in the Buddhist studies, it points that people should not be preoccupied with transcendental-metaphysical problems difficult to solve and should instead be entirely concerned only with laws of the phenomenal world and man's actual life. However, what is described as a reason for no definite answer in this preaching is that all things, including “world", “soul", “body", “Tathāgata" and “self" are in reality "the Holy Truth" (ariyasacca) or "Nirvana" (nibbāna) that exceeds the phenomenon immanently. Therefore, it cannot be said, as if they were phenomenon, to be eternal, or not to be eternal, or to be finite, or to be infinite, or to be identical, or to be different, or to exist after death, or not to exist after death, or both to exist and not to exist after death, or neither to exist nor not to exist after death, or to be there, or not to be there, and so on. Thus, in conclusion it can be said that what is meant by Sakyamuni's preaching on no definite answer, together with all other preaching, is that all things are the transcendent Truth.departmental bulletin pape

An Aerial Handwritten Alphabet Character Recognition Using Two-dimensional Moving Direction
Get PDFThis paper describes a method to recognize a character handwritten in the air. This recognition method uses the motion direction instead of positions of the device. It also doesn't use the information of pen up and down. It selects and orders character candidates with DP (dynamic programming) matching. We prototyped an application software that recognize a character by using mouse movements in order to study algorithm and usability. In this time, we added categories of Alphabet character.
