Honjyo Temple is the Hokke sect Shinmon school in Iehisa, Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture. “Hondo" and “Kuri", “Sanmon", “Syoro" are built in precincts of the temple. The frontage and the depth are same five span, “Irimoya-zukuri" and “Hirairi", with one span “Kohai" on “Hondo". The frontage is “5-ken" and the depth is “11.5-ken", “Kirizumazukuri" and “Tsumairi" on “Kuri". A single bay “Yakuimon" gate, “Kirizuma-zukuri" and “Hirairi" on “Sanmon". The frontage and the depth are same one span, “Irimoya-zukuri" on “Syoro". All these are the buildings where are in the during the late Edo period. Honjyo Temple's precincts is good scenes by these buildings.departmental bulletin pape

    RC造プレキャストコア壁における水平つなぎ筋量の影響に関する実験的研究

    Get PDF
Precast core walls are considered effective for construction because they can be built more quickly than cast-in-place core walls. In this study, lateral loading tests were conducted on wall columns simulating the corner and the area near the corner of an L-shaped core wall with horizontal tied rebars. The specimen consisted of four square-section precast columns. The vertical joints between the precast columns were grouted with high-strength mortar. Each precast column had cotters at the vertical joint, and horizontal tied rebars were concentrated at the second and third floor levels, and the mid height level of the first story. Based on the results of lateral loading tests, the effect of quantity of horizontal tied rebars was clarified.departmental bulletin pape

    Bilingualism's Influence on Cognitive Ability

    Get PDF
The present research into bilingualism focuses on the aspect of executive control (EC) and how it can relate to cognitive ability. Specifically, bilingual individuals face EC challenges such as mental-set shifting tasks, conflicting-response suppression, and information or task monitoring processes continually while producing or interpreting language. Current research seems to indicate that this constant stimulus gives bilingual individuals a slight advantage in EC processes compared to their monolinguals peers; developing earlier and performing at a higher rate as the subject advance in later life.departmental bulletin pape

Basic Study on PWR Plant Behavior under the Condition of Severe Accident(1)

    Get PDF
In this paper, we report on the results using the PWR plant simulator about the plant behavior under the condition of the severe accident that LOCA occurs but ECCS fails the water irrigation into the reactor core. As for the results about the relationship between the LOCA area and the time from LOCA occurs until fuel temperature rise start, the time became shorter as the area was the larger. But, in LOCA area of 1000cm2 or more large, the time was almost constant regardless of the area. For small LOCA of 25cm2 area, from the results of the comparative experiments for RCS natural circulation cooling effect in the case of SG open or not, in SG open condition compared with SG not open, the effect was observed more, but the reactor water level was greatly reduced and the time until the fuel temperature rise start was shortened, so the fuel temperature at the time of water irrigation into the reactor core has become higher. On the other hand, for the large LOCA of 1000cm2, the effect was not observed regardless of SG open or not. In addition, the reactor core damage was not spared in the irrigation into the reactor core after 30 minutes from LOCA, however, the hydrogen concentration in the containment building is less than the lower limit of hydrogen detonation, and also the pressure in the containment building is less than the designed value. That is, although suffered the core damage, the integrity of the containment building has been shown to be secured.departmental bulletin pape

Driving Mechanism of a Travelling Wave Ultrasonic Motor(Travelling Wave on the Stator Surface Subjected to the External Excitation)

    Get PDF
A travelling wave ultrasonic motor is an actuator that exploits vibration. Vibration in the ultrasonic range occurs in the stator, which is the oscillator of this motor. Because the vibration amplitude is extremely small, however, experimentation that employs the actual unit is difficult. In the research presented here, the stator of the ultrasonic motor was replaced by an elastic beam of finite length. A theoretical analysis of lateral vibrations of the beam, generated by imposing a forced displacement at the same frequency with a phase difference to both ends of this beam, was conducted. An apparatus was also fabricated with shakers installed on both ends of the beam. Appropriateness of the theoretical analysis was verified through experiments employing this apparatus. Consequently, generation of travelling waves, standing waves, and receding waves reliant upon the phase differences at the two ends became apparent through the theoretical analysis. The experimentation further confirmed undulations similar to the theoretical analysis results.departmental bulletin pape

A Study on Agglomerated Areas Using Mobility Data

    Get PDF
As we use mobile phones, mobility data is accumulated because of GPS or data transaction. Especially, mobility data by data transaction is huge quantity. Therefore, we can analyze human mobility as detail. However, huge data quantity prevents us from calculating and analyzing some statistics. We have troubles in treating big data by using spread sheet application software. In this research, we suggest that statistical modeling has some solution of its trouble. And the statistical modeling is introduced random effect term in linear regression. We illustrate this model applied for mobility big data and advantage of human mobility analysis.departmental bulletin pape

A Study of the Actual Application and Behavior of Passing Places in Wide Pavements for Pedestrians and Bicycle Users

    Get PDF
Much of the pavement in Japan utilizes the same space for pedestrians and bicycle users. Accidents have increased by 4.5 times in the past ten years. The Japanese government has designated 98 areas as Bicycle-Friendly Model Areas. In this study, we try to understand through a survey the relationship between the passing position of pedestrians and bicycle users by improvement of the pavement environment and we observe the passing positions of each. The investigation area is two Bicycle-Friendly Model Areas in Shiga, and the investigation types are the pole separation type, the fence separation type, and the visual separation type. As a result, we consider that the fence separation type is effective build for both pedestrians and bicycle users from the three types. However we consider that the pole separation type may be desirable when we consider the risk of separation structure built continually and the rate of actual application.departmental bulletin pape

The Study on the Water Environment of the Isobe River

    Get PDF
In environmental standards(BOD),the Isobe River has been ranked the worst 3 of Fukui Prefecture always. Therefore, in order to improve the water environment of Isobe River, was investigated. This study has measured the water quality and carried out by analysis of published data. As a result, the industrial wastewater, non-point pollution to urban and agricultural land, the irrigation water used in rice cultivation, and Hokuriku specific weather have suggested. For the improvement of water environment of the Isobe River, it is that the industrial wastewater drains into the sewer, the eco-friendly agricultural, and introduce of environmental water are required.departmental bulletin pape

Application of Tungsten-Filament Electrothermal Vaporization to ICP-Mass Spectrometry for the Determination of Trace Phosphor

    Get PDF
An electrothermal vaporization technique with a tungsten filament (WF-ETV) was applied to inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) in order to determine trace phosphor in environmental water. Operating parameters such as electric current for removing solvent, radio-frequency power, carrier-gas flow rate and sampling depth are optimized to minimize the relative standard deviations for signal intensities of phosphor. Background equivalent concentration of phosphor improved 10 times compared to that obtained with the conventional sample introduction technique, although further examinations in reproducibility are required for the practical application of the proposed method.departmental bulletin pape
